50 KILOMETER CHALLENGE ENTLANG DER LANDESHAUPTSTADT
2023 - zum 5. Mal nach Düsseldorf
50km in 12 Stunden. Zu Fuß. Von Sonnenaufgang bis Sonnenuntergang. Mit Start und Ziel in NRW´s Landeshauptstadt - das war unsere Wanderteilnahme in dieser Landeshauptstadt von Nordrhein-Westfalen. Der Rundkurs von 50 km war in diesem Jahr neu und es klappte für alle wunderbar, auch wenn das Marschwetter mit uns nicht freundlich meint. Eine wechselhafte Mischung zwischen Sonne und Regen war das im Hauptprogramm und jedoch hatten alle Spaß, Freude und Motivation an diesem Megamarsch, das war das Wichtigste!
Überraschend waren über 10 gehörlose Teilnehmer*innen am Start, wo ich bisher aus meinen letzten Erfahrungen noch nie erlebt habe, welch eine Freude sie zu sehen und auch kennenzulernen... Sehr viele waren Neulinge und konnten super mithalten - mein Respekt an sie!
An diesem Tag waren rund 1800 weiteren Teilnehmern und das war schon eine ordentliche Menge für das Orga- sowie Helferteam von Megamarsch - alle haben sich super durchgesetzt!
Meinerseits herzlichen Dank an alle für das tolle, unvergessliche Wandertag und an allen Finishern natürlich herzliche Glückwünsche!
Für mich war diese Teilnahme in Düsseldorf (das letzte Bundesland) eine Ersatzalternative für meine "Marathonsammlung" der deutschen Landeshauptstädten aller Bundesländer. Der Düsseldorf Marathon war seit zwei Jahren nicht mehr aktiv und ich konnte einfach nicht länger auf diesen Marathonlauf in diesem Bundesland Nordrhein-Westfalen warten...
Es hatte sich doch am Ende gelohnt...

50 KILOMETERS CHALLENGE ALONG THE STATE CAPITAL
2023 - for the 5th time to Düsseldorf
50 km in 12 hours. On foot. From sunrise to sunset. With start and finish in North Rhine-Westphalia's state capital - that was our hiking participation in this state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia. The circuit of 50 km was new this year and it worked out wonderfully for everyone, even if the marching weather wasn't kind to us. The main program was a changeable mixture of sun and rain, but everyone had fun, joy and motivation on this mega march, that was the most important thing!
Surprisingly, there were over 10 deaf participants at the start, where I have never experienced anything from my recent experiences, what a pleasure to see and get to know them... A lot of them were newcomers and were able to keep up great - my respect to them!
There were around 1800 other participants that day and that was quite a lot for the organizers and team of helpers from Megamarsch - everyone did a great job!
For my part, many thanks to everyone for the great, unforgettable day of hiking and of course congratulations to all finishers!
For me, this participation in Düsseldorf (the last federal state) was a substitute alternative for my "marathon collection" of the German state capitals of all federal states. The Düsseldorf Marathon hasn't been active for two years and I just couldn't wait any longer for this marathon in this state of North Rhine-Westphalia...
It was worth it in the end...
