I have done the original battle theme already! It’s a more elegant take on it - I wanted the different pieces of music to express different parts of Cynthia’s character! Part I of the prelude is the lore and mysterious side of her, Part II is the intimidation / badassery, and the battle theme is the elegance!

Man, I remember back in 2008 playing my DS on the way to see my cousins. I recall the Elite 4 being particularly challenging to 11 year old me, but I was still able to make it through after a few tries. Then I hit Cynthia, oh boy. I don't even remember how many time I reset my game until I realized I had to lose, level up in victory road, and then fight all of the Elite 4 again just to stand a chance. What a great challenge that was!
Sooo...I just played Part 1 and Part 2 back-to-back. Let's just say hot daaaaaamn does it flow so well together! Owned platinum for 4 years and even with many different teams I've never beaten Cynthia. Also never beaten her as the unova super boss in black/white. The fact that I even played platinum was because of chuggas lp which started in December 2015 and looking up when the lp started makes me feel old
No, I really haven't ever beaten the platinum champion fight. I've gotten it to a 1v1 but I'm the one who gets ko'ed and it isn't like I try to make it a challenge by going in with a disadvantage, I just can't honestly beat Cynthia.
