Follows I-15 North from I-210 through Cajon Pass into the Mojave Desert. It starts out slow but picks up tempo throughout the ride. All FAQ's and Music info is in the closing credits
Nice video. The 15/215 junction was changed since you filmed this. A new flyover was built so that the northbound 15 lanes become the 1-3 lanes and the old flyover is now the truck bypass. Much better traffic flow now.
Nice vid Jim! I like the song and the pacing. It also seems like you had a blast going up that pass. That area definitely has an otherworldly feel to it.
Thanks, glad you liked it. This was a part of the trip I was looking forward to and it did not disappoint, nor did the whole ride up I-15 to Vegas through the desert, wish we filmed more of it.
This is the best video with song ever made by Jim but the title has been change for some reasons. Original title of the video was "buried alive in the desert" which is the song title as well use in video "Buried Alive". In any case the best compilation by him
Thank you very much, Buried Alive is still in the title at 0:19 :) I changed it on the YT search because it was not clear as to what the video was about.
I’ve been on interstate 15 and the views of the San Gabriel mountains are awesome without clouds in the sky. I was also wondering if interstate 17 is ever gonna get extended to Utah.
Absolutely badass video there! Loving the Avenged Sevenfold! I loved your LA series; now I get to enjoy Vegas. It's been two years since I've been there, so I wonder how I-15 looks after all the work I saw. Keep on rockin' in the desert!
I can also see why interstate 17 won’t get extended north of flagstaff Arizona. Interstate 17 will not get extended north to Utah because the terrain around marble canyon is too rugged to build a freeway and where would interstate 17 cross over glen canyon dam in page Arizona. I don’t see any path viable to build an arch bridge over lake Powell.
Well, I think I would be a little nervous driving through the Mojave desert, I would continually be looking at my instrument gauges to make sure everything was okay, fuel, oil, coolant temperature. It looks like a very pleasant drive..
It's an awesome drive! the biggest concern would be the crazies on the road with you, people fly between here and Las Vegas, the speed limit is merely a suggestion.
Thanks, I like to do creative things now and then (not all the time and I try not to overdo it) as it adds to the overall production value of the video IMO. The same old thing can get boring after a while.

It's called the "Devore Interchange".
i like the intruments in this song and the video is intresting nice jop!
Thank you!
Stunning scenery! Trucks look stopped in the ascension pass!! Loved this video and generally your serie dedicated at California!
Thanks, this was a really interesting drive in person, glad you enjoyed it.
Great great video again! Thanks Jim. I believe Cajon pass is fully covered in snow today - 27th Dec 19.
Thank you very much and yes I've heard.
That is true, after what happened 12/26/19
The song is perfect for the video! I was thrilled with watching. Thank you, Jim.
Thank you very much!
It's pretty amazing that a tour of 55 min compared to 7.5min !!
We skipped 17 miles and jacked up the speed at the end :)
Your use of filters adds to the desert feel, adding to the viewing experience, I like that sort of stuff.
Thanks Geoff, that's what I was going for there.
This song goes great with this video. Even an added sunburst as the music kicked up at 5:30.
Brian Odom Thanks Brian!

***** Thank you Dwayne!
Awesome! I hope you enjoyed California! Looking forward to more from this EPIC season! Oh and you filmed this on my dad's birthday!
Thanks, I LOVED California! Cool that I caught it on you Dad's Birthday and it was Father's day as well.
Best video by Mr. Jim by far. I wish title would not be changed.
Thank you!
Going down the hill is breath taking, I remember going down for the first time, it was surreal.
6:05 There it is, the desert, my beauty :)
I-15, Thank you, that road is like home to me
You're welcome!
good driving! That hwy got some steep grades!! Maybe a drive thru there, one year, don't know about my left knee and the pain that's in it.
Thanks, it's definitely worth a drive if you get the chance.
might end up getting knee replacement surgery before I drive out that way, esp coming from Chicago
Good one Jim! Love it! Keep it up! :)
Thanks!
One of my all time favorite memories in the L.A. area. nothing like fast smooth flowing multilane road through the desert. great work, Jim.
Yes indeed! thank you.
Relaxing asf
Not as of 2022; 3 hour ride for 20 mile stretch.

Great ride with great scenery, and great music!
Thank you, it's a very cool route to drive.
Nice ride! I bet it was sad to leave California and the majestic freeways the state has to offer! Awesome ride and awesome soundtrack!
Thank you! Yes it was kind of say to be honest although at the time I was also looking forward to seeing Vegas.
I’ve been on interstate 15 and the views of the San Gabriel mountains are awesome without clouds in the sky. I was also wondering if interstate 17 is ever gonna get extended to Utah.
I doubt I-17 will ever be extended north, too expensive and would not serve any major population centers.
Absolutely badass video there! Loving the Avenged Sevenfold!

Keep on rockin' in the desert!
Thank you very much! I-15 in LV looked quite nice, we caught it at sunset in both directions.
Whoa, that music was a rush, lol. Loved it. Sorry you had to sit in some traffic, though. It happens along I-15, out in the Mojave.
Thanks man, it was a great ride, I regret not filming through the Baker area, that was pretty interesting.
I obviously agree
Freewayjim
Also film the Zzyzx area just about 7 miles south of Baker
Shota Takagawa I live in Atlanta, these were filmed in June, what's up is all I have.
nice ride with a good cut that I have never heard befored.
Thank you....that's saying something if you have not heard it, lol.
:)
Great video. Filming the baker area would have been great. Just watch that temp. gage climbing up that hill during the summer.
Thank you! This being my first time on I-15 I was not sure what to expect but I do regret not filming the Baker area.

When you jumped 17 miles, I didn't get to see my home exit. :(
Its nice driving through the desert

Nice nusic and video it looks so old👍
I like your vids, but I have to disagree on the filter stuff. Keep it nice and clear in real color.
Thanks, I like to do creative things now and then (not all the time and I try not to overdo it) as it adds to the overall production value of the video IMO. The same old thing can get boring after a while.
Was it really THAT smoggy that day?! Wow! Lol
No, it did not seem so at the time...I did use some filters on this one.
5:07 good view but not my fav in this video.
Kinda reminds me of GTA V
A7X! Nice music choice!
