oook, 1st the original air hose from the front of the car to the original air-box uses vacuum to suck air into the filter (it actually pulls more air then an open air filter set-up has the ability to suck in etc) wright now it'll be doing little to nothing.. why have it? the air scoop on the bonnet "have you removed the plastic grill from the front as its actually mainly blocked off rather then allowing air to flow freely" you've already mentioned how its originally designed for the supercharged model with the intercooler mounted ontop of the engine... the turbo model coopers well.. the bonnet vent has no real function, unless modded etc also why not simplify your build for a functional bonnet scoop... you could simply use a thin piece of aluminium to make a lower edge/plane to the bonnet (vus allowing air to flow from the vent to the rear of the engine bay) using the bonnet strengthening beams as a fixed guide... use some sealant to fill any route air could leak from etc... at the filter end just have a scoop or dual nacca duct to feed into a smaller air-box, you could simply use a hose line for a simplified connection point.. for the air-box/heat-shield again get some aluminium or thin steel & make a drum (barrel) to a suitable size for the filter block one end completely & you could make an end plate which utilises the filter bracket to help support the new filter box/heat shield etc you seem to be trying to over complicate the process & the end result isn't really looking to pretty
Just when I thought this homemade "hood scoop" /"air intake" deal couldn't get any more jacked up, he goes and pulls out the gorilla glue and zip ties. Good grief!!!
I love your channel! It deserves so much more!
Thank you !!
fire vid bro!
Saw what you envision
What did you do with the hood latch button?
Where do you get the materials?
Cool
