"Narcotics Anonymous (NA) describes itself as a "fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem" following the Twelve Steps and the Twelve Traditions developed by Alcoholics Anonymous, and it is the second-largest 12-step organization.
As of May 2010 there were more than 58,000 NA meetings in 131 countries.
Because no attendance records are kept, it is impossible to estimate what percentages of those who come to Narcotics Anonymous remain active in NA over time. The only sure indicator of the program's success in attracting members is the rapid growth in the number of registered Narcotics Anonymous meetings in recent decades and the rapid spread of Narcotics Anonymous outside North America.
In 1978, there were fewer than 200 registered groups in three countries.
In 1983, more than a dozen countries had 2,966 meetings.
In 1993, 60 countries had over 13,000 groups holding over 19,000 meetings.
In 2002, 108 countries had 20,000 groups holding over 30,000 meetings.
In 2005, 116 countries had over 21,500 groups holding over 33,500 weekly meetings.
In 2007, there were over 25,065 groups holding over 43,900 weekly meetings in 127 countries.
In 2012, there were over 62,700 meetings worldwide in over 142 countries" From Wikipedia

What an awesome message of recovery from Khalis. I read some of the comments shared on this site & it mentioned that u Sir have passed on. U may hv passed on but ur words r still helping addicts like me. I'm getting ready 2 celebrate 7 yrs of recovery in 2 wks. Alot of ur story reminded me of my own story, especially w/ the methadone. I was on methadone nearly 12 yrs. Wow thank God 4 the message of hope & the promise of freedom. I pray this recording lands upon the rite ears BC it sure landed on mines. I remember when I met you at the Albany convention, I relapse after 6 yrs now I am coming up on 9 after returning to recovery. The other day I was thinking about some of the things you said at the Aubany convention that kept me coming back after relapse. To get my 8.5 years this time. You said" If anything I say anything that cause you to run out these rooms you need to look over your shoulder and remember you what ran you in here". Yesterday I wanted to hear a message from you but, I was looking for a message by a guy named Ernie and I didn't know you change your name to Kailis. After you started talking I knew it was you.
If this isn't God I don't know what is God-bless you my brother.

Loved this mans message. Early in my recovery I got turned on to a tape of him. 21 years later I'm still clean. Sometimes we just never know, when we will hear, what will turn on the lights. This man was one for me.

I have the cassette from a london convention, that's when i first heard him on cassette.. His share helped me so many times. In the early days..
Back then 2002 /2003 in Coventry West midlands uk i had mum, Amanda my support worker /councilor, some na meetings in Northampton and khalaid tape..
Mum used to say "Jason go out on khalis or ring Amanda" lol 🤣
Mum grew very find of khalis also..
