I remember my brother, sister and I being on the Wallace and Ladmo show in the 1960's and selecting a gift from the self on the set. And seeing my first Hammer horror film at one of their shows. Also several trips to Legend City and the new Phoenix zoo. And Encanto park in the early 1960's and picnics at south Mountain park and car trips on the Apache trail with a stop for a meal at the old lost Dutchman restaurant. I was even blessed with meeting the legendary senator Barry Goldwater when he was running for president, of course as a 10 year old I didn't understand anything about politics. Also it wasn't uncommon to see people riding horses in the city and I loved running around the old flee market at the greyhound race track and stealing oranges from groves right in the city. I was even able to see the great Wilt Chamberlin coming to town and playing the Suns and the old Phoenix Giants baseball team and the state fairs at the time. I could go on and on, the 1960's were a great time in Phoenix. My family moved back east at the end of the decade and I only visited Phoenix once since in 1980 but the wonderful memories live on. What a time.
Sort of remember this legend, city when I was very very young kid me and my brother Wayne, we would go with my mom and dad to legend city. It was fun I remember Wallace in Leadville and Pat McMahon who played Gerald the annoying Gerald lol it was a long long time ago very long long time ago I wish it was still around because it’s not fair for the other kids of tomorrow so never know what this was. It was almost like Disneyland in Phoenix, Arizona.

Legend City and Bed Rock City in Valle, were on every kids bucket list.
Rock city too
It’s amazing how close & how far we really are from the true American Experience.
I weep for the future.
We need a new Legend City!
My mom went to legend city when she was pregnant with me spiderman signed her shirt :)
I remember arguing with my cousin Frankie from L.A. about who had the better amusement park Disneyland or Legend City 🤣
Pat McMahon was the best actor! I loved all of his characters! I went to Legend City often as I lived on the other side of the Buttes
Not winning a Ladmo Bag was a catastrophic life event for me.
Many moons ago
Why dont we have a huge amusement park? We should 1000% have one
Because it's really hot in Arizona?
