Hi Louise you are great! It is so relaxing whatching your beautiful work. I have a question for you. Can varnish be used instead of resin?
Hi Zoila, of course, the varnish just won’t have the resiliency or durability of the resin.
Thank you so much Louise!
Hi Louise I bought valspar 833125 by mistake it’s still high gloss , is there a big difference between that and 833124 ? Thanks so much 🙏
Hi Susan, I honestly don’t know. I’ve looked at both the cans and they both read exactly the same a high gloss interior and exterior base c. that must be tinted or high gloss paint and primer. So aside from looking at fine print I don’t know I’ve never used the 25, but I even went to the Shelley Art group and saw that somebody was using the 25 with varnish so all I could say is give it a whirl.

I was between 3 techniques that needed 3 different consistencies and recipes and it was hard. I poured over a lot, a lot of small canvases and times for practice!
How long do you let the paint dry before you resin.
Hi Michele, on coasters I wait at least seven days depending on the environment. If it’s really damp, I go longer to make sure it’s fully dry.
Do you wear a mask when doing resin?
Most often…i’ve done a couple tutorials where I didn’t have the mask on so I could talk. But most times yes.
