My favorite is that white farm truck. It’s just when I was young our neighbor had a truck like that. It was the biggest truck I ever saw. And she’s so fine my 409.
The Chevy with the 409 is excellent. Aluminum heads are available for them as without knowing I’m thinking you mean.that they whittled out a relief in the combustion chamber to lower the compression in that truck engine. Both Mopars and the gas rig / spray rig also very cool
I've been watching that Willys Overland, wondering if you were going to crush it. I had a '53 in 1971, it was my first car after getting my license, a few months older than me. I threw a rod just west of Chicago (from NJ). Big soft spot in my heart for those.
Same here been hoping it would find a forever home. I had a 63 truck with the OHC Tornado 230 with a Warn overdrive. Think I bought it in 76. An old friend of mine has it now and just keeps it in his barn
I really enjoyed watching you guys using the wench to move cars into alignment with the flatbed . You taught me something. l know it may be nothing to you but to us that have never had the opportunity to use such equipment we can learn things. Thanks.
My dad had a 1961 IH crew cab shortbed, this is where I learned how to drive a stick shift..a three speed with a Compound low We did alot of camping towing an old 1960 trailer with it So much fun!
I missed this yesterday. Silas if you ever find any old Saabs from the 1970's in decent shape. I definitely will be interested in them . And it is sad that there's no keys in those Mercedes cars. My Uncle Claude drove Saabs for decades. I like that airport truck, I have never seen ones like that at my local airports. That airport truck is a keeper. If I could I would buy it just to fix it up and put it in parades and car shows
😱 Doodle Bug Nooooo 😂 glad she's going to a home. Hope their a big speedster, doodle bug Nut like me 😉👍. Thanks for saving the old gal 👏👏👏👏👏. Take Care ✌️🤠
The 61 International short bed pickup at 21:10 is my favorite. I've developed a soft spot for vintage International trucks like that one a couple of years ago.
Agreed that 65 truck was the coolest, beautiful shape, and a 409? You can't lose. My personal favorite? That 55 Chevy 4 dr you loaded, now that was a jewel! Nice as is, or a prime candidate for a 2 dr conversion. Great content as always!
Nancy's guy Frank here... my favorite of the ones you got in was the old Chrysler ... that year of those cars (or around that year) are all VERY interesting. Odd-ball transmissions in some of them are the real interest. I drove one in side a junk yard.. that was still complete, and running... when I was in high school. It had the RED "Safety Clutch" and that was my introduction to those early "almost automatic" transmissions. What a hoot. Listening to rock and roll music on its radio, while me and my buddy drove around that junk yard. I really wanted to buy it... but being a high school student, no money. 😕
Following Silas on his Round at the Yard for a Week - Busy means Money and thats how it goes ! Very, very Interesting Video with cool Cars and Trucks ! Many Cheers from Australia !!!!
The 409 is a sure winner with a few adjustments it will fit into almost any chassis . that's my choice for top buy of the day . Thanks for the video , Stuart in Ontario ..
The Ford airport fuel truck is unique and could make a cool custom, but the C60 is my favorite as I drove one with a dump body for work, it's a real work horse. Thanks for the tour!
Liked the old orange Volvo sitting back with the Mercs. Thought it was an old SAAB at first, I had an old 2 stroke 3 cylinder Saab for a while. Enjoy the show. Thanks
I think I have said this to you before but a simple cardboard sunshade wrapped in reflective aluminum foil can be used to shield the camera from the sunlight.
* Another good vid Silas. Love the intro music. Was surprised that Willy's sat around as long as it did. My 55 C3H Dodge was purchased for a private airport but it was a fully optioned cab with vin. It was just never licenced for the street and only had a hook for pulling small planes in and out of hangers . No bed till the 2nd owner had the M37 military bed made for it. It never saw salt and was kept in a hanger so no rust ever. 👊😎👍
Back in the day, my boss had a 55' Chevy 1/2 ton truck with a 348 engine. The old engine was getting tired and he found a 409 SS engine from a 64' Impala. We swapped it into the 55' and the exhaust manifold interfered with the steering gear, so we used the 348 exhaust manifolds. When you went full throttle the exhaust whistled. It would top out at 1/8th mile. We pulled semi's and combines out of being stuck with it.
What a shame someone didn't try to rescue the '64 Impala. I have a horror story about a '64 Impala SS. Back around 1975 - my uncle gave his son (my cousin) a VERY nice '64 Impala - that he had bought new. It was not an SS - but it had loads of options and was really nice. Well, my cousin decided to turn his Impala into a quasi--SS by using all the SS badging, center console, etc. from a donor SS that he had found at the junk yard. After all the parts had been scavenged, me, my cousin, and a couple other fools, took turns with a cinder block and cutting torch and DESTROYED the SS donor vehicle - just because we were idiots. I still think about how dumb we were. sickening.....
I love the looks of that Jeep and the Crystler is a huge beast compared to that rice burner next to it...Some really neat vintage vehicles this time... Keep them comeing!
That white Chevrolet truck is sweet, & yup my friend has a old airport tanker truck that was converted decades ago & they still use it on their family farm as a sprayer ,they fit way better than most larger modern tanker trucks
Only one of them sold and I sold it about a month before I ever posted a video of them. The rest are still here waiting for their turn to be cut up for art 😆
Dear Mr. Silas. 👍👌👏 I absolutely love these videos with a lot of different content. I'm happy to see that you sold the Mercedes W109 300 SEL 6.3. The W108/109 are my favourite Mercs. The 220 Diesel W115 (also known as 220D/8) you bought is definitely quite rare in the USA and with it's 60 hp prechamber 4 cyl. Diesel quite lame. On the other hand: the fuel efficiency and the durability of the engine is legend. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health in particular.
I just cannot get over your mad skills with your loader! I would love to take that big Ford (6500?) And put it on a lifted heavy duty 4×4 frame. How unique that would be! Not even sure that's possible but a girl can dream. Love your vids Silas.
Nice video that heat can be something to deal with thanks for dealing with it for us root canal and cap around 2 Grand with no insurance unless you trade the dentist a vehicle😂
On those m/Benz cars, they have a MB factory recondition/ restoration facility in California. You should be able to goggle them. I know they used to have buyers buy whole lots of vehicles for no longer available original parts to rebuild. Only have two of these facilities in world (Stuttgart, Germany and California) My automotive magazines usually have their ads on back page but I give issues to V/A clinic waiting rooms, when new month issue come I will forward the contact data for California)
I like all of the old trucks! You do a great job explaining what they are. 😊
The airport truck looks like a Pope Mobile. Lol
It does!!
That's exactly what I was wondering from the thumbnail. 😂😂😂
I thought the same thing!!!
Honestly Silas, any old classics you bring to your yard are my favorites! You have my thumbs up anytime for older vehicles!
The classics there are a great finds, they have all rusted away or junked around my area if any are left to be found like he finds them, great video
I can't believe there are still so many old trucks out there.
As always excellent video silas cheers 🥂 😊
I would love to see some finished wall art
@carlpriestley360 yea, would be cool to see where some of those noses end up
I would love to see some finished wall art
My favorite is that white farm truck. It’s just when I was young our neighbor had a truck like that. It was the biggest truck I ever saw. And she’s so fine my 409.
Silas, with that frame, stand it up, add a diff axle set up as arms, small front clip for the head and use it for yard art.
The old railroad iron makes awesome anvils.
17:44. They would make some nice anvils Silas
Thank you for putting up with the heat and giving us a great video
The 409 engine is a sweet surprise! No doubt it will sell fast!
* They reproduce parts for 409s again. You can even get an all aluminum one. Course they're pricey !!! 🤭👍
The Chevy with the 409 is excellent. Aluminum heads are available for them as without knowing I’m thinking you mean.that they whittled out a relief in the combustion chamber to lower the compression in that truck engine. Both Mopars and the gas rig / spray rig also very cool
That fuel truck looks like a mad max pope mobile. I have the irrational urge to take that thing on the freeway.
CONGRATS!
You really do turn over the old cars Silas
I can’t believe how many you shift
Car Jenga at its best!
That 409 Chevy is a hell of a truck
Definitely the blue Ford Fairlane 500 is my FAV!!!
The Fairlane could be great with an upgraded engine. =)
She's real fine, my 409!!
Nice to spend time with you. Favourite?? The short bed International pickup. Lassie!! Here girl.
(Or was that a stude)
Cool thanks great video

I like the truck, but that DeSoto is AWESOME. Beautiful front end, and the right number of doors. Great video. As always.
Keep Up The Great & Wonderful Work
I really enjoyed watching you guys using the wench to move cars into alignment with the flatbed . You taught me something. l know it may be nothing to you but to us that have never had the opportunity to use such equipment we can learn things. Thanks.
The "wench"? I think your spiel chequer needs an update! 😂🤣🤪👍👍
My pick would be the Desoto. The intact 409 is a great find. 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
That funky Ford is awesome .. you should keep it as yard art.
Nice hat🎉
I like the big Chevy. It sure looks like it was well taken care of. Thanks for sharing your time. Peace
The white cab forward would be a cool build to put on a one ton with the correct box and diesel engine, with the small cab grill graffed in.
i like that white truck the end are you going to do a midnight scrap yard walk for halloween video would awesome great video
My dad had a 1961 IH crew cab shortbed, this is where I learned how to drive a stick shift..a three speed with a Compound low
We did alot of camping towing an old 1960 trailer with it
So much fun!

I knew those Mercedes guys would come out of the wood work!!! Most of those cars didn't sit on your lot for very long!!!
They’ve definitely come out alright. And then insisted that I’m crazy for wanting more than scrap price for them 😆
You really do get some interesting vehicles in your yard some that I’ve never seen before, that’s why your channel is so good.
Yeah it's always the same come buy my trucks, and they are the same trucks. Could show trucks from last month and nobody would know the difference.
😱 Doodle Bug Nooooo 😂 glad she's going to a home. Hope their a big speedster, doodle bug Nut like me 😉👍. Thanks for saving the old gal 👏👏👏👏👏. Take Care ✌️🤠
This is my favorite video so far,JAMMING🎉! Thank you for sharing your work

That 409 engine! Awesome, that truck was my favorite. If I was a young man, I’d buy and bring that truck back to life! Nice!

That 65 would be a cool build into a ramp or roll back car hauler.
Following Silas on his Round at the Yard for a Week - Busy means Money and thats how it goes ! Very, very Interesting Video with cool Cars and Trucks ! Many Cheers from Australia !!!!
Thanks Silas, I love that Airport fuel truck! Bet you're glad it's cooler now, but you got rain and maybe snow next week!!

I like all the cars and trucks that you show us
Thanks for sharing

Hey Silas ! Hope your well just wanted to send some blessing from Texas!!!
Liked the old orange Volvo sitting back with the Mercs. Thought it was an old SAAB at first, I had an old 2 stroke 3 cylinder Saab for a while. Enjoy the show. Thanks
Hi from the UK, just to say we love your channel & keep up the great work
You wanted to do a "will it start" video.......Lets fire up that 409!!!!!!!!!! Will get more money from it if someone can here it run!
I think I have said this to you before but a simple cardboard sunshade wrapped in reflective aluminum foil can be used to shield the camera from the sunlight.
Great video. The cab forward Chevrolet is by far the best. Great job.
The white 65 with the 409 would make a great pickup with a standard bed
Awesome always cool stuff always thanks

@@urbanurchin5930 To be fair the 64' Impala was wrapped around a tree sideways. It could never have been saved.
I liked the tanker truck and the white truck. The Mercedes yiu sold are gorgeous
Great Video. My favourite was the Chevy C60 truck.
You keep saying you’re going to “cut it up for Art.” Who is this Art you keep talking about?
That gas truck is pretty Neat
I love the looks of that Jeep and the Crystler is a huge beast compared to that rice burner next to it...Some really neat vintage vehicles this time... Keep them comeing!

Awesome video Silas
Cool. Been years since I saw a 409. I had a 66 impala that had a 409 and It was an awesome engine.
I'm not a Mercedes guy but glad to see those classic Mercedes rolling out whole and hopefully you made decent money on them.
Only one of them sold and I sold it about a month before I ever posted a video of them. The rest are still here waiting for their turn to be cut up for art 😆

Love the old Mercedes, old save the wheels and headlights on that brown s class with no keys the headlights especially are worth some money
I really liked the old Chrysler, love the nose
Good to see some of the oldies selling whole. My 55 Chevy I had 45 years ago was similar. Unlike some, I like more doors
I love that gas truck. Good start for a motorhome !
Dear Mr. Silas.

Like the big Chevy truck. Always like those coe's or bubble nose trucks
I would love a fuel tank with a trunk..strap that down on a modle A or T..it would look like a cool hotrod.
The 65 with the 409 is my fav
I've got a 366 from 1 of those big farm trucks..its been sitting in my front yard for about 5 years.
Your an amazing person
I just cannot get over your mad skills with your loader! I would love to take that big Ford (6500?) And put it on a lifted heavy duty 4×4 frame. How unique that would be! Not even sure that's possible but a girl can dream. Love your vids Silas.

My favorite is the C-60 ❤️it.
that RAT lost is home....
@ 2:13 mark
I wish I had cash for the Cesna Ford Fueler! I love it! I would put it back to the way it was and turn it into a drag car.
