This usually requires disassembly of the delivery system. A soft plug is more dangerous than a hard plug as the pressure builds up in the delivery line and can cause the soft plug to eject out the end of the hose, usually with extremely violent force.

As a retired carpenter/cabinet builder.... that is a magnificent cabinet. I think of the time and material that the cabinet took to build. The Era built, olden tools.....WOW! More than likely year or better by large crew. Or, one man many many years. Today, probably in the 100,000 plus range! My theory, OAK IS AGELESS. So you said that it wouldn't fit in the kitchen.....have you thought of using the cabinet as a dividing wall somewhere? I'm not sure what the back looks like, 🤔 maybe panels with stiles and rails.....hmmmm . If you cannot find a place for it, there's always...barter. It has to be worth double or triple more that your cost. If I had that cabinet I would build a room just for it!

I'm holding my breath..... Reminding me of my grandfather's story of pouring his concrete floor, expecting to do just one section and received the whole house. The story ends happily with the whole neighborhood coming out to lend a hand. They raised 5 children and many grandchildren in that house. So many memories there. Thanks for sharing your video and adventures.

Beautiful pour! You dad seemed to enjoy the work. How I love the chapel!!! Every time I see it I am more convinced that the side room, with the newer stained glass windows, was where the Sisters would have been seated for Mass. The nave( the long axis of the chapel) would have been for patients and visitors. I have seen this in other convents. God bless you all!
You bought a great big piece, and it won't fit? LOL. I used to go an auction house outside of Chicago on a regular basis. One day, this guy from Texas just HAD to have this massive Victorian sideboard. Easily 8 ft tall and long. He had to have it. Every bid by anyone else, he rounds up to the next $1000. Paid to have it shipped back to Texas. Several weeks later, it back at the auction house. When they get to the piece, the auctioneer explains that when it arrived in Texas was when he discovered IT WON'T FIT. Can't make it fit without serious damage, so paid to have it shipped back and resold. It sold for about half of what he paid, so he's out 50% of the price plus all the shipping costs. Made for a good laugh. Thank god you have another place for your piece.

Ahhh, that was nerve-wracking! That was such a lot of concrete pouring into a critical area. I would have been losing my mind! Thank goodness for Ed and Mick. Watching Mick reminds me of my dad. Value every moment - trust me, they're precious. Also, I just watched Gwendolyn giving Anna a tour of the Abby, and it was so helpful to put the space into perspective. Love you all!

What a daunting project! I have a driveway that needs redoing and I have always been afraid to hire a concrete delivery. Great job👍
Concrete delivery is THE way to do big pourring. First need a good soil preparation and also enough people to lay the concrete everywhere and nice.
