- After a freak incident with his fuel system destroyed his new 434 Nitrous Small Block Chevy at War In The Woods a few weeks ago, Uncle Bob McVay helped Jimmy put it back together with a combination that allows for a wider tuning window. (Lower compression)
Generally, that means less power Naturally Aspirated. So we were SHOCKED at what it made this time with LOWER COMPRESSION!
It’s all about details, and timing!

Yall did real good this weekend. Glad Jimmy made a good save in Magic Johnson. Glad Billy didn't get hurt bad when he flipped the 4wheeler. I've slid across blacktop before when I wrecked my Bike. That blacktop is HOT! Especially when you slide 50 feet then roll into a plank fence. Man I miss my Bike.

Use a oem coil with a ballast resistor. I've got 60k volts on that set up with my msd hei. It should keep up fine with your combo

Great video Ole Jimmy dales 434 is only 5 cubic inches smaller then my big block my 439 so the 650ish hp is about right. I'm glad uncle Bob got that engine back together for him I hope Bob gets to take it a Lil easier for awhile he seems like a great guy I almost passed on myself when Jimmy scanned those plugs by Mark and said ok how do you ajust the price and mark said you dont....lol plugs are not cheap like back In the 70s...lol can't wait to see the 5t back running. Great job again I'm on my last couple of dY vacation this week so I'm enjoying my coffee on the back porch waiting for daylight so I can get after it I need to put the new starter on the riding mower this morning so I can cut this grass. Congratulations Jimmy Dale on the big horse power pull now try to keep this one together! I had one of those flash bulb memories when I saw the old Mail Pouch barn on your drive home. I was back for visit to see my folks back in the 80’s and snapped a killer picture of one of them on our drive back to Belpre from Old Mans Caves. I still have it hanging in our living room till this day.

Sounds like you may be running 12 volts to the coil instead of 6 You must run 6 volts or you will burn the coil up, however it is ok to apply 12 volts with the key in the start position to help with better starting as it sends the full 12 volt while starting and goes back to 6 when you release the key from the start position.. An easy way to achieve this is by using a older Ford style solenoid mounted to the fender well or fire wall, this also make the GM starter wiring much more friendly as you just run a short jumper from the GM solenoid to the GM starter and a normal battery cable from the Ford solenoid to the GM starter and a wire from one of the small posts of the Ford style solenoid to the positive on the HEI.
