    In real life my wife of 20 years left because she wasn't having fun and wanted her freedom to go out and live her life. At least that's what she told me. She told every one else I was a terrible husband and abusive and any other lies she could think of. Of course she had no issues with leaving our kids with me. After a few months the divorce was final and she called me wanting to come home. At least I had the pleasure of telling her no. Isn't it amazing how fast some women find that the grass wasn't greener on the other side after they destroy everything.

    She blames him for the breakup after telling him that she is unhappy, cheated with his friend, was in love with his friend, and basically saying she didn’t want to be with him any more. Blames him after the fact because he didn’t fight for the marriage. Claims she would have tried for the sake of the kids if he had fought for the marriage after so many layers if betrayal and harm that she did to him.
    The cheating relationship was doomed. Doug had a savior complex that wouldn’t have survived the grind of daily life. He too would have retreated into work, or cheated. She would likely have cheated again if the opportunity arose after Doug distanced himself.
    At least Doug didn’t come around after the affair started, whether from guilt, fear or a remaining shred of decency.

    • @pelle7771
      @pelle7771 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yeah, but when you just work, not caring about your spouse and the kids, even hiding behind the work - the relationship is doomed, too. Especially if you have enough money for a comfortable living but still thrive for more and more. It is like cheating - with your work instead of with another person. Only advantage: you can quit this cheating without hurting your spouse longterm. Pictures of infidelity are nearly impossible to get rid of. The picture of a partner you hardly see because he/she is at work for 14 hours a day - you can overcome.

    Normally I am disgusted with the wives who cheat, In this particular story, Mr. Underwood is an a-hole and a weasel. He refused to accept that he is also responsible for the breakdown of his marriage. The worst part is refusing to accept that he is at fault too for stealing the schematic. Instead he puts all the blame on his friend, Doug. He acts as if he is better off than Doug when he is worse off in terms of character. Doug may have stolen his wife but he doesn't go around with a vindictive agenda. I dislike Frank Underwood.

      That is just a convenient excuse cheaters use to blameshift. If they take a lower paying job, and turn down promotions, then the wife will cheat because he isn't a good provider. Women don't respect a man that doesn't out earn her by a significant margin. And if they don't respect, they will cheat.

    • @Mentallect
      @Mentallect 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ResidentEvil937 That's true, but the problem is women are emotional and villain build. Long hours is an auto-excuse to use loneliness as the motive to cheat, so avoid marriage. Never trust people ruled by emotions, not logic, and always expect them to act accordingly.
