@@FakeUni That's okay. I tried playing for several hours and it just didn't do it for me. The UI was just a barrage of icons, I didn't like the combo combat, and 2/3 of the classes are stereotypical booba-bikini warriors.
I’m returning from only playing a little bit in 2016 this guide is well timed for me. I kinda borked my seasonal character using Fuhgars time piece too soon so I’m going back through the story again, but I’m having a blast playing hashinshin.

One of, if not THE best New player guide for one simple reason: You mention this is not a sprint, but a marathon.... I'd say many Ultra Marathons AND you recommend doing the Balenos Quest line through to.. could it be LoEW? I usually advise to end of O'dyllita part 2.
Two other things:
1)Don't jump on the mount you get as soon as you get it. If a new player hits "P" they will get that character's personal information. On the first page are three little stats; Breath, Strength and Health. As a new player you will get potions that increase these stats, but you also increase them by eating food, running from place to place, and walking around a town with a pack of potatoes on your back. Food= Health, Running = breath (stamina) and carrying potatoes = Strength
2) You say turn on ALL quests. I would recommend not doing that til L56 at least. The main quests are long and folks will more than likely spam"R", cause they can and after 25 characters, who can blame me if I do it occasionally. But, Just who is Hadum?
Oh one thing about running everywhere, you will find that by L56 you have not maxed out ANY of those three stats (ie hit L30) This is not a sprint, but one of many Ultra Marathons within the game.

Hello, I have a value pack and saw I could chance my appearance with the (appearance change coupon) you get with the value pack. If you select end or esc on the keyboard are all your changes you made reverted back to how It look in the beginning? I was making some changes and I wanted to go back to the way I had it. It looks the same I just want to make sure about it. Thank you, great video.
just make sure to hit the "apply" button so the changes take effect

Hey man. Very good guide. Just one bit about the magnus. The full questline isnt availble on console yet. Its only the universal storage and abbysall skill that you get. No teleportation either. I hadnt realised this until i got to lv60.
I thank you for those video. I'm a veteran player and I played for a year on the Korean beta before the Europe and North America release. I had a chance to participate in the US Beta and played for 2 years on the original servers before they did the switch over. I stopped playing because I had to move to a place where I didn't have internet. And I ended up missing out on the migration to the new server 😢 over $1000 spent 5 awakend characters several high ranking horses, 1 of the unicorn legendary horses. All solo.
I finally got around to repurchaseing the basic game pass months ago and re-download BDO. Today was my first chance to make a character. Odds are it will be a very slow solo grind again because I am very busy IRL and can only casually play.
It's great to see several new things were added but the base mechanics stayed the same. I hope I can grind a good first character. Goal is to get the merchant ship and wagon asap.. what other top end craftables are there

Was a 680 gs warrior on xbox. Finally made the move to gaming pc over a year ago. Swore id never start from scratch again, swore i wouldnt accept losing 1500 hrs on xbox, and yet, a year into pc gaming, i found myself missing this game and starting again

Dope video! I'm finally trying BDO I've been interested in playing it since launch but never did because I heard the grind and monetization was horrid. Aion was my first Eastern MMO i played and all quests stopped at lvl 30 and max was lvl 60 at the time. So we dailies for 30 levels with low xp gain compared to the amount needed to gain levels. I hear BDO is less grindy now lol
BDO is less grindy but still a grind none the less
@@FakeUni Yeah I played for 2 weeks and its fun just don't have the time to play it long term because of the grind and they are so many different systems you have to track and maintain its kind of overwhelming to be honest.
With how early Progression Pass is mentioned in this video, It's kinda jarring to figure out you need to complete the Season Pass or change to a normal character to see that option. Otherwise a really informative guide. Good work!

I didnt choose the amber chamer thingy because i was afraid it would take me forever to get to new content idk...im lahn and i spent like 2hrs making her i really dont wanna make a new character 😭😭did i make a mistake? Genuine question why does it feel so much faster to lvl up on Lands of Morning Light? I got a char to lvl 40 in about 2 hours or so and In Ancient Stone Chamber Ive been going for 6+ hours and still havent hit lvl 40.

I'm a returning player, I played in the past and have a lvl 60 sorceress with quite bad gear should I create a new character?
SHould i wait for the enxt season to start? or what happens when you a seasonal character and a season ends?
Season typically doesnt take too long to do. I usually suggest doing it asap since it usually doesnt take much effort of gameplay
I recently came back to the game after not having played since before Star's End was even a thing. I gotta say this is easily the most helpful and least confusing beginner's guides out there. There's a lot of information to absorb but it's all very surface level which helps it not be too overwhelming.

I already have many hours in the game, but ended up stuck around level 61 with no clue on how to get better gear/improve it.
Let alone I am wasting hours of auto riding my horse to locations while apparently you can fast travel with the Magnus quest-line I quit after realizing its a ton of stupid puzzles (I hate puzzles and platforming in a mmo setting, I'm just here to kill shit.)
Good to know there is an actual worthy reward behind that torture.
Lots to do. Alot of micro goals to focus on. The game provides you with a lot of goals to self give and pursue for an overall outcome of better gear and strength
Fellow noobs - save this video. You’ll come back to it a lot. Only 2 things to add: there’s no fughar timepiece, look up the tag system. And there’s no progression pass for season chars I think. But other than that, this gave me a good guide to get started

PC. It performs much better, gets better updates and has better sever stability imo.
I'd stay away from console personally. The game is controller friendly on PC

I started in the land of the morning light (2 days ago) and I really don’t think it’s annoying well I don’t know ancient stone chamber so maybe it’s just much better
Land of the morning light has been much better for me as a new player as well, I started ancient stone chamber first due to this video and leveled to 14 but the story and quests were bleeeh, I made a new character and chose Morning Light and leveled to 21 in faster time and the story is much more enjoyable and also got my first set of cool armor. I prefer it already! I don't know why its being suggested against without detail as to why... feels a little gatekeeped. I think its great!

Any progress is still progress !! As long as you keep on playing you will always progress forward

Can someone explain field boss google nor youtube have any real information or how to find or track which field boss is active all they keep saying is one will spawn after another 3 minutes after the previous one was defeated then which is the previous one
The discord communities are better for that. Where you can find actual players that are making live posts of the bosses and what servers they've spawned on

Guys the magnus quest was only 3 quests for me it send
me to a cat in valenceia and then the rest just
talking to the black spirit and i got the skill and
