SPT is unfortunate proof that BSG Tarkov is not anywhere near where it should be.
spt is a revision of Tarkov, not a development from scratch.

Scoping in? How stamina works? I mean, most of these are just basics that require a little bit of code - and Tarkov has no excuse for being so far behind in a lot of these with the cash they have. But hey, at least we got Arena.

trying spt myself had me thinking the same thing. How a modding community made better AI than BSG and fuck tons of qol and interesting changes makes me question why I would even play normal tarkov tbh.

I love how much customizability spt has, Especially with the realism mod. Never enjoyed tarkov more and this is coming from a 4000+ hour player

It's mind boggling how fucking incompetent BSG is. Look at that ACOG around 04:45. They STILL didn't fix what the scopes look like in the "real game" after all these years, and look at the ACOG reticle in SPT. It's crazy what can happen when someone who knows what he's doing starts fixing shit.

Not sure if you understand. But gaming companies dont have infinite amount of developers. And they dont have infinite amount of time. Nor infinite amount of money.
it's 80 people. Working on a game. Where they need to fix existing features. Create new features. Test new features. Realize there are problems. And fix them.
If you think they cannot fix those problems, like ACOG, for years. Well, they can. But you aint gonna have any new content for a while.
For comparison. Over 1000 people worked on GTA V. Now i hope you can see the difference now. And GTA V (or rather GTA Online) is still a horrible game.
The fact that person sat down, created a mod, and fixed some problems in the game - doesnt mean developer cant do the same.
It means, that this person has no other priorities or work to do. Developer does. He has a list of 100 things to do. And fixing ACOG sights might not be even in top 10 things to do.

SSH, the guy behind SPT gore and ragdoll mods has like 3-4 unrelated mods with stuff like artillery, eft alpha restoration etc.
While its true that the total number of ppl working on SPT mods is huge, the vast majority of the fixes and addons came a very small group of people.
SAIN and Realism are like 2 guys fixing the AI and weapons/armor. BSG has bugs dating back to the closed alpha of 2017, that were only fixed thanks to the modders.
Honestly im realizing Nakita driving around in super cars and designer clothes is where all the money went... Because it sure wasnt spent on upgrades or fixes weve been asking for years... 😂

The ability to switch between "baby" level bots & "God" like NPCs is a positive for re-playability and providing time for those who cant spend hours online.
Or for those like myself with sloth-like reflexes.
Also for people like me who have accessibility issues like damaged sight and hard of hearing. It's nice to play a game with bots like this and not got my ass immediately handed to me. 😂
SPT made me appreciate the quests alot more now that I don't need to rush like crazy. I know those aren't the best and most creative but I'm having fun, I'm enjoying tarkov as I haven't in years. ❤️
Really enjoying questing on SPT this wipe, almost done SBIH for the first time, was impossible before I discovered SAIN, swag and donuts and it's been bags of fun. Woods and Interchange are absolutely battering me though! 😅
try some raids. Bots don't spot you as easily so have the advantage of range at night for shooter born

Pulled the trigger and set up SPTarkov after seeing your first video. Immediately downloaded hardcore, donuts, sain, a graphics mod, and questing bots. This is truly the way tarkov was intended to be played lol I just wish the dev would take some fucking notes.

6:30 I believe the reason tourniquets don't "fix" a heavy bleed is different than what you're saying. It stops the heavy bleed completely but because it's a tourniquet it cuts off bloodflow to the limb completely so after 15 ish seconds the limb starts taking damage until it's dead. Any new bleeds on a tourniqueted limb will also stop bleeding after a short time since it has no bloodflow.
Addendum onto that: you have about two-four hours to get a TQ'd limb seen to by a proper medical professional (not a combat medic) before the cut-off blood turns septic. That's what Urgent is for with a military MEDEVAC: life, limb, or eyesight.
Sp tarkov is the ideal way to play the game. Ill never go back to standard tarkov unless theu basiclsly make it SPT. Who knew modders who did this for free could make a better game than the actual developers
Modders didn't "make" the game. They just gave us the ability to customize it to our liking

Makes me so happy to see this project get this much attention lately. The devs have been absolute kings over the last few years. I found SPT about a year and a half ago (right before the release of Streets) and I never looked back.
Im loving the SPT videos! I don't know if this is your sort of content, but i would love to see a "getting started in SPT" video which goes over where to start, what's required, what to download, and what mods you recommend.

BSG still takes down how-to install videos for SPT. You can (at least now) upload you playing it but not how to install it. Installing it is easy, google the mod and you'll see. I would love to see a mod list though

You got me to finally download SPT last week, and dude, I actually love Tarkov again. I loved this game for so long, but the issues plaguing it, including the lack of giving a shit from the Devs, really turned me off after this most recent wipe. I quit way sooner than usual, mostly because of cheaters.
SPT with realism has made me go back to loving ALL the stuff I used to really enjoy about Tarkov, with none of the bullshit like dudes hiding in a bush all raid, or extract camping, or just blatant cheaters.
Keep pushing this kinda content dude. This is awesome stuff. Thanks for exposing me to this dope ass SPT experience.

@@RahYutKill Yeah dude the cheating is what killed this game for me, too. Campers are annoying but the blatant hacking was so frustrating to run into. Last wipes it happened but I felt like every third raid this wipe I got smoked by an obvious cheater.
Google single player tarkov, I use a bunch of mods but especially realism, swag+donuts, swain and waypoints. The world feels really alive, it's very impressive
I remember Klean talking on stream about getting a dedicated server up and running for Co-Op SPT.
It's surprisingly easy, all you need is a VPS, then grab the MPT docker container, open a couple ports and you're good to go.
My mates and I now have a 24/7 dedicated Tarkov server to ourselves.
How would that work? Like you can all play like it's online and make a group?
spt are HEAVILY against the use of multiplayer, but this works nicely, for now

Don't worry. You're most likely dying for the same reasons both offline and online. It's just that offline is a lot less punishing, so you're more conditioned to be okay with the deaths because who cares anyway? They're bots and the skill ceiling stays the same between each AI PMC Squad you encounter

@@domindrakegaming7956 The skill ceiling is astronomically low when you're doing nothing but fighting bots that track you through walls. I have experience playing years and years of stalker anomaly and I'll tell you, the fights are engaging but get stale and boring after a while... Just waiting for the AI to swing you out in the open with no cover for a free kill because they're programmed to push you. It's not a dynamic gaming experience. You can crank the AI as much as you want but there will always be ways to cheese them, even when actively NOT TRYING TO. SPT, stalker anomaly and especially gamma are for the people who are tired/scared of actual tarkov and want a low-pressure offline gaming experience. You can't tell me I'm wrong either because even when you launch stalker GAMMA half the mods made by the community there are made in the vision of making the game play closer to tarkov... From voicelines to the health system mods to guns and animations... You guys just want the same stuff but in a different can 😂 "silly boi" you don't know what you're talking about and man are you chronically online... Like your life just revolves around this gaming stuff I mean look at yourself

Been playing live Tarkov since 2017, EOD and everything and I gotta say that SPT is the best Tarkov experience I've had in 2 weeks than I've had playing live in 7 years which is a lil sad. Keep up the good fight and loving the TH-cam n Twitch content!
That's mods vs no mods for you... Try playing vanilla STALKER Anomaly for years... then go to GAMMA which builds and adds 300+ mods... You won't be so inclined to go back to the Anomaly days with the ugly GFX, worse AI, questline, etc etc. It's all a matter of prespective, and its the same with every game. Don't know why some people prefer SPT Tarkov and Live Tarkov to be the exception to that rule... It's rediculous and just shows me how truly out of touch the gaming community is in general with the type of work that goes into BOTH of these projects
@@papalenny I feel like Tarkov gets treated different because they are supposed to still code that stuff in (still in beta btw) but the SPT community did so much cool stuff that bsg didn't do or doesn't care to do anymore (no more big update till launch bs) I know nikita said the game is made how he likes it and that's why it will never be "as good as" SPT because SPT is for the tarkov community and regular tarkov is made for nikita. Besides the point but I'm also an EOD owner since 2018 and the recent events made me not wan't to come back and play honestly. I haven't even tried SPT yet because I feel like I will be dissapointed with the main game like you suggested with gamma vs anomaly... Hope one day bsg does eventually make the game good for the community (and not when the game is dead and they are forced to do cool stuff for revenue).

To me I don’t see how you can replicate that unpredictability- it’s like in dayz, the rush you get from pvp another player, if you were to have dayz with just bots I don’t see how that can be interesting for more than an hour
Idk if the gore mod is trying to be realistic, but if it is, it needs to be tuned down. All the bodies look like they faced a firing squad of .50 cals

That’s my hangup with visceral dismemberment. I get that guns are powerful, but I feel like that should be reserved for shotguns (assuming all pellets hit), high caliber pistols, and sniper rifles

the assets of the gore mod are basically copied together from other games - at least thats what I have seen ^^ so sure there is some work that would need to be done but it probably comes down to someone modeling this stuff properly
@@brawler5760 high caliber pistols? Shotguns, and "sniper rifles"? Non of that is even remotely realistic a high caliber pistol round... I don't think people understand how gun physics works at all... down load telegram find some russia/ukraine channels and see what is reality. 99% of it is unrealistic, the only stuff that does massive damage is artillery/explosives not gun rounds. Even self offing videos of dudes taking it in the dome point blank with their ak74s aren't as crazy as you'd imagine, I've seen guys have to shoot themselves twice in the mouth and we're still moving around.
That ballistics gel crap that everyone thinks is real life or a watermelon isn't how human bodies react to bullets in real life. Most people sponge that shit up and barely bleed, the only "realistic" gore they could incorporate is if you leg meta (in this case a bot lmfao) and some how got a femoral artery shot off and home boy dumps his blood out in a couple minutes.. none of this gore stuff is real, the only round you're going to find that does that kinda damage is a 50 bmg.. no 12 gauge no "high caliber" pistol round and not whatever a "sniper rifle" is

Quick question, how do you have your flashlight light bouncing like that? Is it through the graphics mod? Cause I messed with it and never got my light to do that. It just stayed static like vanilla.
Modders have always shined above the studios. The problem is that studios have stopped them from modding as much as possible. A few decades ago people were playing mods more than they were playing new releases. Studios were forced to hire better talent and sometimes hire the modders themselves.
modders usually shine above studios because they pick up where studios left off most recently and pile focused modifications and improvements on top of that, most of which are not original ideas lol. You can say I'm hating on SPT but ive played over 1k hrs of stalker Anomaly alone. not even mentioning its improvement... GAMMA. Mods improve the game, yes but I don't go around shitting on GSC game world because of it, nor do i shit on the anomaly devs for GAMMA simply being better... hint hint.... GAMMA IS A COLLECTION OF NOTHING BUT MODS PUT ON TOP OF ANOMALY 😂
@@papalenny Yes, I will agree that they get that advantage, BUT I have seen mods that were able to innovate games so much that they were almost totally new games. Most of what I am talking about was decades ago when game studios offered dev access. Now I am told a lot of games have to be reverse engineered and emulated before they can be modded, which is limited access.

As someone who uses what USED to be a high end rig and has drifted in it’s performance with modern games (upgrading everything soon);
SPT is the only reason I got to actually experience maps like streets. The performance benefit is incredible! More than night and day, summer vs winter level difference.

There was a mod that did this a long time ago called Visceral Dismemberment; but it's been taken down from SPT since, very likely because it was discontinued.

6:40 A note on the Tourniqets. They stop all bleeding if applied tight enough, but they also stop regular bloodflow, and thats one of the reasons why its a "last ditch effort" to save your life if ur bleeding out. If just regular compression does the trick then that should be all one does. If its between saving someones life or their limb, always choose their life.
Though i like the effect in SPT with you loosing health as the tissue slowly dies from lack of blood. Where it gets as realistic as playable is doing complex surgery in the field where you most likely would have had to reconstruct major arteries and veins.

SPT Realism mod is absolutely fantastic. I also love how modular it is, almost every feature you can toggle as you see fit. Unfortunately it seems to have compatibility issues with a lot of other mods, but that's really the only downside.

As a previous semi-obsessed Tarkov Gamer who now has a young child and another on the way, SPT is a god-send. So nice to be able to adjust the game to be as fun or as punishing as I have the time or energy for that day hahaha.
you know theres something wrong when SPTarkov is 10x more exciting the online gameplay.
Just say you're scared of PVP man. Hell even I get nervous and shaky loading into raids solo with my nice kits sometimes. It's something you need to take on like a man and just get used to, unless youre completely over PVP already, which I can understand
@papalenny for me it was running into people using walls and aimbots that killed the pvp for me. Went to spt and stayed there. 0 hackers, mods, better performance, and so much customisation it'd make your head spin if you actually dived into all the shit you can change.
And to make it even better, ai mods exist. I basically made my spt raids sweaty as fuck with 0 hackers. And no bush esp or grenade esp for the bots is a godsend since they can't cheat you out when you are in bushed or throw nades. Except the nades that pop, they tend to hear that pretty well.
I gave up playing pvp with all the cheats but to be honest I’m loving so tarkov more right now , with all the mods you can do each time I make a new profile it’s a full new experience! And free love it !!

Anybody know how tf to find the Visceral Dismemberment and Bodies mod nowadays
I just recently played gray zone warfare, never tried tarkov because pvp isn't my thing anymore, but i see this and now im really intrigued, going to look into this i think. i am more of a pve person as i get older.
SPT is a clear proof that the devs are slacking off, sitting on the money doing the bare minimum and even got the nerves to release a new edition and modify the last one then lie like there is no tomorrow.
This is what i thought tarkov was when i first heard about it
