    What front strut bar are you using?

    Any plans to do a version 2 of the JZX100 intercooler kit to be able to retain the factory crash bar?

      ITB NB - The cooler would have to be substantially shorter (around 180-200mm) without modifying the factory crash bar. This would suit a stock turbo fine, but not ideal when cranking up the boost!
      We’ve found that you can in fact cut and modify the factory crash bar and still cert the car. You just need to ensure it’s modified safely and have documentation of the welds etc for the certifier.

      @@fenixcooling I'm hoping to retain my crash bar for, well, crash reasons. These fold like twigs without them in a frontal. Ideally keeping the crash bar in place could mean the difference between a repair & a write off.
      In terms of a smaller core, do you have any estimates on when a 200mm tall core would run out of puff vs the 280mm?

      ITB NB - They’ll fold with the bar there too! As mentioned, we’ve found you can cut and modify the frontal bar within certification limits, still retaining the support it offers. If the LVVTA are happy, so are we.
      There are a few factors that go into selecting the correct intercooler, but you’d probably be safe to push 350hp or so (which isn’t much for these engines) through a smaller core like a 600x180x76.

    I just got one of these for my jzx100 auto not realising they for manual only ? Can I still make it work and why will it not work on auto ?

      @fenixcooling  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zehpz That’s correct. You will require an external trans-cooler to use a manual radiator on your vehicle. Which we can supply too!

      Fenix Cooling sweet so I can keep the radiator and order a trans cooler some other time? Any chance of being able to tell me the listing name cheers:)

      Zehpz yep that’s right! If you go to fenixcooling.co.nz you’ll see our trans coolers in the ‘oil coolers’ category.

    I am so stupid because there are other lines running to that radiator and i realized it was from my tranny. Took me a good minute to figure that out because i never had a auto car in my life 😂

      Yes your auto trans has a cooler built into the oem radiator! You will need to run an external trans-cooler with our radiator.
