Your personal experience with Him is going to be different than mine or the next person's. We'll swear by the Bible when the Bible clearly has some questionable verses that folks such as yourself would embrace even though it contradicts that which makes God who He is. This is half of the reason why a lot of people turn away from this radical form of Christianity; it has nothing to do with accountability but more to do with contradiction. The very fact that you're willing to categorize a gay person the same as you would a murderer or a rapist paints the type of god you serve.

Strange how God is revealed in so many ways. For some people he is hating on gay people. For others he advocated keeping people enslaved because they were black, for others God commanded Segregation and Jim Crow. To others God is not like this at all. I guess we all like to believe God agrees with all our biases and prejudices.

God is love. Our love should motivate everything that we do. As long as they continue to love God, he will show them the way for he is the answer. Would you rather them stray and revert to sins like stealing and killing, so that they can integrate into the world of flesh? God is love and it is true we do not have to follow a certain religion or be a certain way in order to receive God's love. We make our own lives complicated just like the philistines were in the Bible. Stop trying to add stipulations and over complicate God's free gift of salvation. He did not allow his son to die on the cross for our sins for no reason. He realizes that we are imperfect and that we are going to make mistakes along the way. But that does not give us the free pass do mess up on purpose. However The black church is not destroyed because as far as i know people still go to church who are black. People need to learn how to live by faith and put in the effort into what they are reading and read it fully because if they don't they will find that they just might miss something very important.

Yes there is other spiritual realms, I don't doubt that, but the bible is the best at describing and living in the spiritual and no book comes close to a spiritual lifestyle like the bible. We believe all sin leads to death. Harsh I know, but it's about setting your life free in Christ so he may Grant his Peace upon us. No one considers peace, because we learn to live without it and harbor the sins we think we know how to deal with. That is the journey to find the peace of Christ. Everyone has that choice.

Never the less, none of it acceptable. Whites have done bad things and many other cultures too have done such atrocities. If we all had God in the real sense we would have a lot less violence. We are not here to forget the past and hopefully learn from it, but you can't also keep living in it, its not healthy to live in grief your entire life and harbor bitterness. Once you scar a person its never easy to give up that hurt, I realize this and can be justified by the victims. Buy we must realize to give that pain to the lord and let him comfort them. The problem is people don't learn from their mistakes and ignorance is rampant.
People can be such to submit to such evil deeds. That's why we must save the soul and set it free so it keeps such evil at bay. That is the spiritual you spoke about. That's what Christ came to do. But most of us could care less for that knowledge. But there are some insistent on spreading the message to set people free without the bondage of man(RELIGION).

Extreme homophobia and antisodomy laws came with Christianity as well as many other negatives. Behind this, people (good people) across the world are being stoned to death and tortured mentally, spiritually and physically. I appreciate your difference in opinion and your right to it. I understand that outside of Christianity people need to be better but you must understand the influence of religion and its historical implications which manifests in today's society. We cannot discount that. Also the bible does condone slavery if you read through it as well as rationalize violence against women specially. I don't claim to know it all. As someone in the comment section said " the master and the slave can't serve the same God." I will no longer go back and forth. There is ration for every thought process per the person. This breaks and warms my heart. Denominations like the Presbyterian Church USA, Disciples of Christ, United church of Christ... all accept gay folk and marry gay folk; but those are mostly white denominations.

If you start at verse 18 of Romans 1 you will see what Paul is talking about. He's talking about the worship practices of idolatry. Paul even tells us that 'they' (those who once knew God) were now worshiping man-made objects made in the likeness of mortals, animals, birds and reptiles. Sacred shrine temple prostitutes were also a part of pagan idolatry and this is where the sexual aspect comes into Paul's text. Romans 1 has NOTHING to do with homosexuality, per se. In fact, the sexual practices affiliated with idolatry were no doubt performed by heterosexuals.
There is SO much ignorance within Christianity that it's a wonder it still survives as a legitimate religion. The good news is, however, that Fundamentalist Christianity IS slowly dying as Christians are now wising up to the evils of 'Fundamentalism' and leaning more toward the 'love' teaching of Jesus.

As for the New Testament ...NOWHERE is the term "homosexuality" used in the original manuscripts of scripture OR the King James Version of the Bible. The term was used CORRUPTLY in some 'Anglicized' post-1946 Bibles.
The equivalent of the term "homosexuality" is not found in Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek ...the languages used in the original manuscripts. If one wishes to argue from scripture then present those same texts from Romans, 1 Corinthians, i Timothy and Jude from the KJV. You won't have a leg to stand on!
