Finally someone who shows what safety measures they take. I've seen many videos and people don't mention that they wear a mask. Very informative video thank you.
I've been playing with resin for a couple of years, so I've watched a lots of tutorials. What I like about yours is that you think to say what not to do, and why, like why you don't push the stickers down after adding the glitter. Lovely video, clear and concise. Keep up the good work.
I'm in Aus also, and I use a resin from Spotlight. It's completely odourless and if you get it on yourself you just wash it off with soapy water (I always use baby wipes, they work much quicker and easier) and no harm is done. :-)
Maddie, this was a great great video. It was short, concise, very clear. I will look forward to seeing many more from you. Nice work and thank you for sharing.
Thank you for the tut, you make it look so easy! I am trying to learn the process I am thinking that I can use this media to add zipper pulls to my bags. Thanks again
Wow! You did an excellent job with this tutorial. Thank you so much. I've been doing resin for a few years, but I learned some great tips from you. I appreciate your teaching very much.
Super cute, I am just getting into the resin making as well as making my own molds. I am a new subbie and look forward to more of your tutorials. TFS, HUGS, BJL!!!!!!
Thank you so much for the subscription! You'll have to tell me how you make your own moulds. I just got a new filming set up so look forward to new videos soon!
i love this tutorial. always wanted to try this and your video is so awesome! you have a great voice and i like how you are clear and direct. thanks!!!!
Awesome tutorial, thank you it was very helpful! I love how you explained beginner mistakes you had already made so that way others wouldn't make the same ones :)
Hello, I am curious on what size eye pins or keychain loops to buy. There are so so many different mm sizes and im new to this. So if you could please let me know all that info I would really apreciate it.
Hold your old guitar in your arms, take a sip of cafe latte, and upload the videos introduced by the algorithm. For some reason, when I share your video with you in the thumbnail, I have a good feeling that happiness is near me. I enjoyed watching it, but I think it will be a great channel because it is a precious and precious video with a lot of your sincerity. In the meantime, you All the poured hours and moments may be natural, but it may be the grace of your subscribers, who enjoy watching your videos in places where you can't see you, and netizens who are still watching you without being revealed. I dare say it personally, but I have a feeling that you have a wonderful talent that is full of strange charms only in your videos. As you have worked hard for your dreams, I hope that your channel will gradually develop into a very large channel, and I will give you my heartfelt and sincere praise and support through a precious relationship
I was just wondering if you use a mold release on your silicone molds, I have heard that you don't need to, but I don't want to get my work stuck in the mold. Love your tutorial, got a lot out of it. Thanks.
You don't need a mold release at all. Once the resin is completely dry, it will pop straight out of the mold! Just make sure that you separate the sides of the mold away from the resin piece and it should come right out :)
Hi, thank you for the tutorial! C: if I were to put in paper instead of sticker would that work just as well? Or Should I print them in a sort of picture paper?
while you’re putting in the sticker, what do you do with the left over resin? is there a way you can re use it? or do you just have to make more for every layer?
Great tutorial! Also hello fellow Australian! I have Two questions.. For now ;) But.. Where did you get the resin from.. And also.. Where did you get all your glitters from? Im looking for black glitter mostly. This honestly looks like a crafting hobby i could get into and get creative with so i have lots more questions.
Looks like Epoxycast Clear Casting Resin from Barnes.com.au. Here's the direct link to the product... I am tempted to get it myself to experiment with. N00b resin crafter here XD
I visited the Barnes shop today (Richmond, VIC) and it's a resin crafters heaven in there! There are quite a few types of resins to choose from so it depends on what you want to do. I ended up buying the Clariti Ultra Clear Epoxy Resin (on sale till 25th Feb 2018) which takes longer to dry but it dries super clear.
+Craftymaddie can you bake them or do you have to wait for them to dry like you did? I've seen other videos on resin ,but they never said anything about this.
The pieces seem to be deformed A little because they were removed too soon. But other than that these turned out really cute. This is a great idea for a sleep over activity with my niece.
I have a question about when to put in cello glitter. I used your tutorial and it was perfect for making my pieces. All the mistakes I have are just because I'm a beginner lol but I realized that the cello glitter is so big that it causes large air bubbles when the resin is tacky. Should I do my first layer with the sticker, let that completely dry, and do a second layer, and immediately put in the cello glitter to let it sink?
what do you do if you want to make a charm/put in a headpin but you dont want it thinner like you showed? Because if the resin already dries you wouldnt be able to put one in.
Thank you! I have some paper ones (and others) I'd like to use but I don't want to mess them up, lol. So far I've done Beach and cat buttons and taken the shanks off the back.
Oh, I love those clear cups you use around the 7minute mark, Frainyxo also uses them, I have yet to find them. Awesome video, I have yet to master the voiceover >_< I'm still awkward! I went ahead an subscribed too! Trying to make more resin crafting friends!
They are just disposable shot glasses! I love them too :) thanks so much for the subscription, I love new friends :D Oh and don't worry I'm awkward too hehe x
Hiya! I know this is an old video, but I have a question! When I use silicone molds (the make your own kind) they come out all rough and cloudy on the sides that touched the mold, but perfectly clear on the side touching the air. I’m not quite sure what I did wrong, and I’d love some advice!
Lps ElsaCat the pieces will be cloudy if your mold is not shiny.you won’t have this problem if you use a shiny mold or you can just glaze the cloudy pieces with glaze or resin. Hope this helped!
oh nice..i can´t imagine that i could push in a metal piece like this, without squishing the whole shape ,if its not yet that hard you cant get anything in at all. I really should make a new batch of resin as i just gor a complete 3d gem shape and made a bracelett mold as well x3 one thing i wonder, id like to add some glitter elements to the bracelet but since resin is like everfloating most of the even light stuff either likes to drift swimming to the top (even glitter) or sing to the bottom.. for the bracelett i cant do it in shapes. i have also discovered that ,even when it becomes quite hard and sticky after approx 4 hours and i push back in the puffy stickers, they still float to the top..hilarious lol. good quality resin, suggested for my purpose ,so that way its fine
I don't quite understand, do you put part a and part b in the same thing or do you put in part a in, whatever you want inside and then part b? I'm not really understanding... Please reply, I want to get resin but I want to know how to do it beforehand
You might need to re-watch the video.. She shows in the very beginning that she has to mix both parts together but she has to measure them separately to make sure she gets the right amount of each..
where can i get resin outside the us? online prices are cheap but the shipping price to canada basically raises them to a billion dollars. im having trouble finding a site that has cheaper canadian shipping and i would love some assistance
Lol no it's not. Its causes no danger whatsoever. And no you cant wait for bubbles to go away....they don't go away. Its resin...they set! Lol you run a long barrel lighter over the top... but sense a lot of kids do this, its safer to blow with a straw...its not effective in least but at least a child dosent have a lighter. Lol
Finally someone who shows what safety measures they take. I've seen many videos and people don't mention that they wear a mask. Very informative video thank you.
That mask is only a particle mask (like dust) and does NOT protect against the dangerous fumes from resin.
I've been playing with resin for a couple of years, so I've watched a lots of tutorials. What I like about yours is that you think to say what not to do, and why, like why you don't push the stickers down after adding the glitter. Lovely video, clear and concise. Keep up the good work.
Denise Bousquet Where did u get the materials and how much did it cost??
I really appreciate how you tell us mistakes you have made so we don't do the same. A lot of people don't do that.
This was a really wonderful resin tutorial :) your explanations were very clear! Also the pieces turned out lovely!
Thank you so much! :-)
This was done on my Birthday and I'm just watching this year my birthday 👍. Better late then never lol.
This is a very informative video, I am really new to resin crafting so this was very helpful!
I'm in Aus also, and I use a resin from Spotlight. It's completely odourless and if you get it on yourself you just wash it off with soapy water (I always use baby wipes, they work much quicker and easier) and no harm is done. :-)
Thanks for your comment! I will have to check out that resin :)
Oh cool idea Blanca! Thanks for the comment. Let me know if your idea worked out xx
Wow! You did an excellent job with this tutorial. Thank you so much. I've been doing resin for a few years, but I learned some great tips from you. I appreciate your teaching very much.
Excellent video. Loved it! I am going to start making resin charms, really helpful!
Love the Toulouse-Lautrec mention. Super cute and intelligent video, thanks so much!
They came out very cute, I've just bought some resin and I'm excited to try it out!
Thank you for the tutorial💖✨
An Australian accent! So refreshing
Thanks for the information .. and I love your beautiful Aussie accent💕
Super cute, I am just getting into the resin making as well as making my own molds. I am a new subbie and look forward to more of your tutorials. TFS, HUGS, BJL!!!!!!

Aw thank you! :)
i love this tutorial. always wanted to try this and your video is so awesome! you have a great voice and i like how you are clear and direct. thanks!!!!
+melanie lopez Thank you so much! xx
Awesome tutorial, thank you it was very helpful! I love how you explained beginner mistakes you had already made so that way others wouldn't make the same ones :)
I’m just starting resin! This helped me so much, thank you!
Meilani Hsu me too :v
I’m so late but this was the most helpful video I’ve watched about this :)) thank you!
does it make a difference if you add the hardener into the resin or the resin into the hardener?
No
Hello, I am curious on what size eye pins or keychain loops to buy. There are so so many different mm sizes and im new to this. So if you could please let me know all that info I would really apreciate it.
Gonna make this for my 다마고치 (tamagotchi) >< its 짱이에요😍 i still practice it..
Is the second layer part A and part B again?
Would you recommend using kids makeup for color? Or would the corn starch ruin it?
Hold your old guitar in your arms, take a sip of cafe latte, and upload the videos introduced by the algorithm. I've found that if you cup the container in your hand while mixing, it warms it just a little bit and helps with less bubbles later.
Thanks for the tip!
I was just wondering if you use a mold release on your silicone molds, I have heard that you don't need to, but I don't want to get my work stuck in the mold. Love your tutorial, got a lot out of it. Thanks.

Iam new to this but the way u explain amazing thank u
omg u have so many glitter powders and pigments🎀
Oh Thank you. I am just getting started and needed this. Amazing
Thank you very much! You showed me everything that I needed to know!💖
they came out neat. Im newely diving into the resin crafts but need more practice I guess. Thumbs up on ur tutorial!
Thank you so much! :) I hope yours came out well - it's always trial and error when you start a new craft
Hi, thank you for the tutorial! C: if I were to put in paper instead of sticker would that work just as well? Or Should I print them in a sort of picture paper?
+Julie Dolotina If you put in paper you need to seal it to make sure it does't get water marked, just use mod podge or something similar :)
Hi! I love the tutorial btw :) with eyelet screws how exactly do you put those in since the resin is hard once it cures? Do you use any tools?
+animeloverdoll I just use force haha or I get my partner to do it because he's a lot stronger.
Thank you so much for the tutorial
How long do you wait until you pour the second layer? I appreciate any help :)
Im gonna buy resin, is it suggested to wear a protective mask when doing this? I wanna try making the charm too
Yes. Wear protective gear and work in a well ventilated area.
while you’re putting in the sticker, what do you do with the left over resin? is there a way you can re use it? or do you just have to make more for every layer?
I want to make an portret from resin. Is this possible?
I've order the same resin and just curious - have you used a lighter/heatgun on this particular resin or do you find a straw is enough? Thanks ^^
Asteriella E I have used a lighter and it worked great but I find that the straw is good enough :)
lovely resin art, subscribed you !!
If you wanted to change the color, like into pull purple, can you put food dye in it?
What do I need to make these please tell me x
This is extremely late but where did you buy your bear sticker with the bee ? I'm trying to use more specifically the teeni tiny bee 🐝
How do u seal sticker?
With mode podge or tape
oh and btw, would you know whats a good (and inexpensive) paper sealant that keeps the image nice and clear, like printouts from an inkjet printer.
Mod Podge is what I use to seal all my paper images before embedding them into my resin pieces :)
Totally deserves more views!
Thanks Cream!! x

Jojo's Crafty Love Im totally a noob too lol. This is all new to me.
Great video! It really helped because I'm new to resin :)
Can you put them in the freezer in the end or will it affect the mold?
please explain how to seal the stickers please
Very nicely explained :)
+Craftymaddie can you bake them or do you have to wait for them to dry like you did? I've seen other videos on resin ,but they never said anything about this.
+Adena Matana Just wait for them to dry! :) It takes about 12 Hours so I leave them over night
r u using another type of resin 2nd time?
i am a bit confused!
+Aritri Dey No its the exact same type of resin! :)
+CraftyMaddie thanks!
My new inspiration 🤗🤗
Are you making a second batch of resin for the second layer or do you use the same batch?
another batch. first batch would definitely dry before using again
The pieces seem to be deformed
A little because they were removed too soon. But other than that these turned out really cute. This is a great idea for a sleep over activity with my niece.

Where do you get your resin syrup v
how long did it take to dry and with resin do you use
Can I see a video of you doing the stickers with the tape?
what do you do if you want to make a charm/put in a headpin but you dont want it thinner like you showed? Because if the resin already dries you wouldnt be able to put one in.
Real cute. Thanks

Can you post how you seal your stickers please? Love the vid!
Definitely can! That will be up soon :)
Thank you! I have some paper ones (and others) I'd like to use but I don't want to mess them up, lol.
So far I've done Beach and cat buttons and taken the shanks off the back.
Oh totally cool :) if you have mod lodge available to you - that's what I use but I'll make a proper comprehensive video soon :)
I do!
Hey you really should do the measuring on a small kitchen scale and go by weight instead of worrying about transfering cups and losing product!
can you use eye shadow to color the resin?
Hiya! I know this is an old video, but I have a question! When I use silicone molds (the make your own kind) they come out all rough and cloudy on the sides that touched the mold, but perfectly clear on the side touching the air. I’m not quite sure what I did wrong, and I’d love some advice!

Marshmallow Da Cat Oh okay, thank you! Also, do you use any type of mold release/specific brand, and is it needed?
where do you buy the glitter in the small bottles?
They actually came with a glitter tattoo set but I'm sure you can find them from your local craft store!
Where the heck can I get resin in Australia?
Don’t your puffy stickers float and move around?!
oh nice..i can´t imagine that i could push in a metal piece like this, without squishing the whole shape ,if its not yet that hard you cant get anything in at all.
+ronja gehtdichnichtsan * meant to say i can´t really do the bracelett in layers
where can u buy the epoxy?
Sapphire xxx.x you may find it in interior decor and paints stores .
People who are specialized in 3d floors would have it.😊
how do you put a head pin in for the 2 layer pieces?
you can use eye screws. just screw it in.
where you will buyed that
is it a must to wear a mask? I didnt know there were fumes until now.. :O
+Pro crastinator As long as you have proper ventilation then no :)
Can I use UV resin
I don't quite understand, do you put part a and part b in the same thing or do you put in part a in, whatever you want inside and then part b?
I'm not really understanding... Please reply, I want to get resin but I want to know how to do it beforehand
You might need to re-watch the video.. She shows in the very beginning that she has to mix both parts together but she has to measure them separately to make sure she gets the right amount of each..
+Mariko M thank you
Do you have to dome the pieces l? Like is it requirement? I just plan on putting them on cases when I make them.
+Jade Cooper Of course not, its just purely for the shiny look of the pieces. Personal preference :)
Good video😊
did you do a video on how to seal paper stickers?
You can use tape!!
I was just wondering how rein feels. is it more like glass or like plastic or both??
Probably more like glass than plastic although it can feel plasticy. Maybe a mix of both but more so glass :)
Do you push the stickers all the way down to the bottom? To where you can't push it down anymore?
Sure do!
No what is an origami owl necklace? :)
where can i get resin outside the us? online prices are cheap but the shipping price to canada basically raises them to a billion dollars. im having trouble finding a site that has cheaper canadian shipping and i would love some assistance
Check your local craft stores! Resin is pretty expensive unfortunately - I don't buy it online so I can't help you out there. Sorry :/
Try micheals or omer dessers
It is so pretty
Thanks so much Hannah!!
Your welcome and sorry for not plying back
Just my opinion but i think blowing the resin bubbles might be kinda unsafe in terms of u accidentally inhaling the resin ?
Jelly that’s why you do it in a well ventilated area she didn’t say that but you really should .
Totally agree, not something that should be done at all.
Its about not inhaling the toxic fumes. Using a straw is not a good idea at all.
Can you also used easycast?
You sure can, just follow the directions on your resin box :)
Que bonito adonde se consigue los materiales🤔🤔
La resina en las barracas y los moldes en casa de reposterias o artesanos.
What resin do you use? 😮
where do i go to get resin and everything so i can start making my items ?
+Deiadra Jackson If you have a craft store near you then they will probably have it! If not I would go online :)
Why my resin is cloudy
Lol am I the only one who thought the mask was part of a BRA CUT OFF 😆 LOL 😂
You're supposed to wait for the bubbles to rise to the top. You don't blow air into them that's highly dangerous.
Lol
hi tfs, im new to this kind of work, found your video fantastic from gina
Thanks so much Gina!
Cool but when I did mine they came out in clear and a dusty effect
+TheMaddyShow Maybe the silicon mould you were using made the piece matte. Check out my doming tutorial to see how to fix this! :)
I seen some cute molds at 99 cent store holiday season eggs, hearts, I'd love to Mae holiday and trees
such a cute video🙊🙊🙊
