My Dad took me to see Rocky when I was 9 years old, he was a labourer all his life. Working on roads with a shovel, barely eking out a living to provide for my mum and 4 kids. He cheered at the montage scene and looking back now, I know he was cheering for himself. The under dog that never got a break. He died, broke and alone in 2004, mum left him in 1998. He never deserved that. When I see Rocky, I always see my Dad. I just wish he`d had a happy ending like his favourite film character. And because of him, Rocky will always be one of my heroes.
I come from a life of struggle but refuse to give up. Watching Rocky from his humble beginnings all the way to his top fame showing his growth and maturity. He had the relentless pursuit to win!! Win at boxing and win in life.
This guy and this movie inspired multiple generations to work hard in order to become more than the society think they could become. Rocky was one of my childhood heroes so it feels amazing to see him feature here. Good job, guys!
Well said. I literally used Rocky and a couple of other movies to keep me inspired through college and graduate school until I completed residency. In my story I was literally so broke that I had to take back aluminum cans to eat; I would have been homeless had it not been for friends helping me. I ended up getting job as a janitor in a hospital. I would clean operating rooms on the graveyard shift and I dreamed of becoming a surgeon. Long story short I ended up becoming a surgeon and married another doctor. I have thought about writing SS about my story to let him know how much I am indebted to him for his story. I truly was an underdog just like Rocko.
Outsmart & Outwork ....same here! Rocky 3 mania was eveywhere even Mcdonalds had a painting of the ending of rocky 3 of rocky and apollo hitting each other and must have been like 7 and remember always looking at it! These movies are really memorable! Even every kid used to joke (paulies your crumb bum uncle)!lol
This was the Rocky quote that jolted me back into reality. "The world ain't no sunshine and rainbows, it's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if 'YOU' let it." ~Rocky Balboa~ Be aware of the opportunities surrounding you every day. If you can learn to recognize and take advantage of them, you will be able to achieve anything you wish. Take for instance, after years of making poor dietary choices and no exercise, in March of 2012 at age 41, I was diagnosed with diabetes type 2, hypertension, high levels of LDL, a low HDL, and vitamin deficiency. I'm only 5' 6" and at the time I weighed at 220 lbs with a 42" waist. I was literally in the pits and showing signs of digging my own grave. My 1st visit to the endocrinologist in May 2012 I was immediately "ordered" to be put on metformin because my A1C level of 10.5 was, "unacceptable", he said. I slammed my foot on the doctor's brakes and said to him, I prefer to fix my problem the difficult and natural way rather than the easy way out. Give me 6 months and if my A1C level is not acceptable within said time, I will have no choice but to take the "drug". After changing my eating habits and went from consuming the “typical American diet” to embracing the raw vegan lifestyle; started cycling and working out, I managed to reverse my diabetes and lowered my A1C level to a 5.5 within 6 months, lost 70 lbs in the process, took 12 inches off my waist, and all of the medical issues mentioned above were permanently suppressed. I now enjoy optimal health and unparalleled levels of energy that takes me to all the places I want to go to. For the first time in my life, I possess the ability to choose my own direction in life and where my paths may lead. I control the surrounding influences that inspire and motivate me. My will to succeed is a powerful force and with it, I can now accomplish anything I wish. On March 29th, 2014, exactly 2 years after being diagnosed, I finished my first 70.3 half Ironman Triathlon Oceanside, CA in which I manage to swim 1 1/4 mile, bike 56 miles, and run 13.1 miles in 6hrs 45mins; (all 3 disciplines must be completed in 8 1/2 hours). I also trained hard and was ready to do my first full IronMan Triathlon Lake Tahoe, September 21st, 2014. Unfortunately, the event was canceled due to bad air quality because of a forest fire nearby. The cancellation devastated me but did not stop me from pursuing my ultimate goal of becoming the first 100-year-old in the year 2071 who can still Swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles, and run 26.2 miles, all in less than 17 hours. "But until you start believing in yourself, ya ain't gonna have a life." ~Rocky Balboa~
Very inspiring!!I saved your speech to my phone and will always look to it for inspiration and guidance!!!thank you sir!!!May god bless you and yours and I hope you get everything you deserve!!!
I was born in 2005 and Rocky is my favorite movie series in the whole world. Sylvester Stallone has always been my favorite actor, and I’ve seen almost all of his movies. While most of my generation has no idea who he his or what he has done, I’m glad that I grew up with him.
I've made a few mistakes in my life, but never gave up. I'm 57 and been training since 1974. and I have no plans of quitting now! Thankyou Mr. Stallone!
You are my dads age, and we both love ALL of the Rocky movies, he still goes to the gym to pump iron to this day, don't give up! There are older guys that are going to out do you if you do!
Rocky 1, Probably my favorite movie of all time. The humbleness of the boxer, the dialogue, the humor, the inspiration, the characters, the believability, the fear, and ultimately the fight. Even the loss was perfect! He actually won by going the distance. No Rocky you're not a bum.

Rocky has always been a Fictional Father figure to me growing up and I always wondered why. Idk if it was his loneliness, underdog spirit, his love story, my love of boxing or never giving up, but I related to him. As I grew up, loving film and becoming a filmmaker, I am more inspired by Sylvester Stallone and how he became successful. I am a writer and knowing he was in a place like me right now, makes me not want to give up on my dreams, because he believed in himself. This warms my heart and keeps my spirits up on the hard times until I make it. Thank you for this video!! it means so much more than you think!

I have seen this films at least 50 times each. This man didnt make it because he was pretty or rich or famous or had connections. He made it because of his will! I will always admire him for this!
I'm 64 and we're at a pretty close competition in the number of times I've watched all the Rocky movies. Kudos to Sly for standing firm in his convictions... And here's to Rocky for giving So many...So much inspiration and hope over his lifetime.
I was born September 1 2000 i was bullied everyday bc i was called ugly and i had a stutter and bc i was chubby 2 times i tried suicide but just couldn't do it then my dad showed me rocky and i loved all of them they motivated me to keep going now im 18 healthy with no stutter and abs bc of rocky thank you so much sly for everything u will always be my inspiration and when i have kids i can't wait to show them rocky and hope they get motivated to keep going
other people could have played but it wouldn't have been the same, just like other people could have played The Terminator, Scarface, Rambo, etc.... but it wouldn't have been the same. The people who they got to play these rolls turned out to be the best option for the parts and made those characters iconic
He WAS, IS and WILL BE an example to follow in all my life. Quotes such as "NO Pain!", "Eye of the tiger" , "Again, c'mon champ, you ain't so bad!", "Keep punching", "keep movin' forward", "You know who you are" and heroes like Rocky and John J. Rambo, have shaped my character! Thank you Mr Michael Gardenzio Sylvester "Sly" Stallone!!!
I'm 50 years old and I have a dream , probably this dream never become true but at least I'm going to die in peace knowing that I tried. "Life is a JOURNEY, not a destination“
Try it out, what you got to lose in the end? Nothing, it's nothing that you lose and it's something what you gain. Go for it, try for it and don't give up till you tried all of it or got all of it. Thanks for the inspiration and have a nice, good and great day! ;)
“I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life; I have envied a great many people who led difficult lives and led them well.” ― Theodore Roosevelt
I’ve watched the movies in very young age and I know them by heart. If you watch carefully you can take very much for your life, because the Rocky movies are not about boxing. They are about living life and this videos shows the essence of it. Thank you, good work sir.
As time goes on my love and respect for this man increases. I saw Rocky at the cinema when it first was released. I loved it then. In my eyes Rocky stands with Taxi Drver, The Godfather, Easy Rider . In my mind it has that greatness imprinted in it's DNA. I am 64, had a stroke last year and it is speeches like Mr Stallone the give me the sliver of hope and motivation to get up in the morning, make my bed, shave and shower, put on clean clothes, keep my house tidy and comfortable and go about my day doing what has to be done . . . and sometimes that's all you can do, but cultivation of a sense of pride and decency can get you through the day. Hanging on to your dreams is part and parcel of getting up and getting going. Peace to all xxx
To this day the Rocky series has brought me nothing but motivation. And JOY. Rocky isn’t the most intelligent character. But that’s not what wins the crowd over. What wins us over is his unstoppable determination. Which is so strong that when he stands back up. His opponent, who has never saw defeat. actually shows fear for a moment.
I got married last year and my wife hadn't seen the rocky series so i decided to put her through it all. We finished the 6th one a couple of days ago and let me tell you, i was fighting to hold back the teara during this scene. Every boy should experience the whole series on his way to becoming a man and every man to remember what made him when he eventually gets there.
Sylvester tapped into the recipe book of life. For life does deliver physical and emotional punches that will knock you down if you let it. Born with learning disabilities and being told by teachers in school your not smart, loosing a brother, a sister in 3 months, nearly dying after a 20 ft fall. Victory belongs to those who can see beyond the emotional and physical pain. God bless you Sylvester, for the path you blazed inspires many and will continue to burn bright for generations.
God bless* you for your strength & story.. also losing fam members and 13 operations almost paralyzed neck operations and back knees also.. still feel inspired & pushing through it.. only We can break Ourselves!! GOD BLESS
Sly is great man, a true example of a real American hero that inspires people of all ages. He is also a deeply spiritual man who knows how to define life from the depths of his heart. He is beloved internationally, be it Rocky or Rambo. As a retired Marine, I have matching sentiments for the most part with Sly. Thank you Sylvester Stallone, hero and patriot. From a friend always !
As an African proverb says "If there is no enemy within, the enemy outside can do Us no harm"...unless We allowed them!!!! NEVER GIVE UP...take a rest and try again untill it's done!!!
JAKUB MALISZEWSKI - I hate that “unless you allow” your enemies to damage you mentality. People destroy other people all the time, people are disgusting.
Rocky is in my opinion the greatest modern example of how to conduct yourself as a man. Believe it or not I have used these movies as a teaching tool for my son's their entire lives. The lessons laid out in these scripts are many. Love, courage, compassion, fortitude, dreams are just a few examples. I sincerely thank Sylvester Stallone for giving Rocky Balboa to the world
Many people make fun of the rocky movies , most of them are young, they just can´t see the messages in those movies. Rocky, one of the best movies ever made from a broke man who risked everyting.
Just like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone is not only one of the greatest success stories of all time, but shows humility and the desire to inspire, motivate, and pull other people up. If you can't love this guy, you are just jaded !!!
A guy comes from nothing and from nowhere and unlike the Hollywood clan, A complete outsider and becomes one of the greatest movie Personalities of all time and shaped our culture and what else can you say
The five years before Stallone sold the script for "ROCKY", Stallone co starred in episodes in two of the biggest network cop shows on television, "Kojak" and "Police Story". He also co starred in movies including "The Lords of Flatbush" , "CAPONE" and "Death Race 2000", he also had a national deodorant commercial and sold a few scripts and this was all BEFORE "ROCKY". He didn't exactly come from "Nowhere".
Rocky Balboa is one of the greatest movie characters ever. Rocky is so much more than a regular Sports movie: it is about life as a whole and the way to not only survive it, but live it to the fullest. That's what other motivational movies haven't understood and were never able to replicate because of this. Rocky will always remain the greatest sportsdrama in history.
I Never heard Stallone talking like this. He is so calm, wise and very well spoken. He is not just muscle and strength. His face also looks peaceful. I have always admired him and Arnold.
I'm forever grateful for sly and rock's story ... I who didn't have a father growing up.. he was my father figure to never give up and keep moving forward.. that's how winning is done.. thank you 🙏
Everyone sees Rocky the film, I see a creative genius. Sly has inspired me as a writer to finish my first children’s book. Seeing this has absolutely changed my approach to life and as a creator of joy. Joy not just for myself but for others, and isn’t that what life is all about at the end of the day.
First time I saw Rocky III I was 13 and at a friend's house overnight. After the movie ended, we both went out and ran at 1:30 in the morning. I started working out after that and after graduation went into the Marines. The movie literally saved me from going in a bad direction. Thank you Sly.
Watching all the Rocky movies and listening to the music while working out at the gym motivate me to push myself harder but what really sealed it for me was the speech that was said to his son. All of us can relate to Rocky because we all have fight for ourselves. Life throws us a curve ball n also hits us very hard but if we push ourselves a bit we can overcome our fears and be successful in life...
I just watched this with my gr 4/5 PE class. They are little stud athletes and this helps to keep motivating them to train hard and be the best version of themselves that they can be💪🇨🇦
I am a true fan have been since rocky. Thank you for all of them. Life keeps nocking me down and i keep getting up. I had stage four cancer in 2017. I ask the doctor what my chances were and he said 50%. I said well thats better than 10%. I will always remember that line it aint about how many times you get knocked down. Its about how many times you get back up. Thank you rock.
What an amazing character he endured hardship in his life but overcame it by following his dreams remained humble throughout and not only that gave positive insight to people never to give up and persevere take whatever life has to throw at you and when you get knocked out get back up !!!well done Sylvester Stallone !!!!
I worked on the Specialist with Mr Stallone...I felt so privileged to be able to work around Sly and the great Jerry Weintraub producing....What a wonderful 3 months of hard work and many important lessons learned...I walked away with a new appreciation for this man Mr Stallone...He brought us all up a level by example....Love your spirit and talent Sly....
I love Sly I have watched him and been inspired and motivated by since I was 3 and watched rocky 3 and Rambo didn’t know my life would be changed and inspired. Fast forward 2023 and I’m getting ready to retire from the Army. I know Rambo was my first military influence 😊
I failed Math 4 times I kid you not. The 5th time now (last attempt) I'm getting A's in my class. I am very grateful. I let go of hope and relied on faith to push on through. I will be able to get my college degrees soon. I am 27, I should have been done with it years ago but here I am. 😥😌
It doesn't matter how many times you fail, how old you are the only thing that matters is finishing what you start. Keep going and crush that math class. Get your degree and never forget how hard it was but remember how amazing it felt when you completed the goal.
Rocky 3 hit me hard in that scene with Adrienne. Rocky: I'm afraid. Adrienne: I'm afraid too. What's wrong with being afraid? (Rocky feared the worst. But he went to the rematch anyway)
The Rocky series in general have a lot of inspiring quotes. However, the can definitely be said of Sylvester Stallone's career, especially the breakthrough for Rocky and his perseverance
i think that's what we admire most about sly and his films - he tries to be inspirational and show you can succeed, just don't give up. An icon of our times through film
I watch all Rocky movies as much as possible. I love the plot and messages he uses. When at my darkest moments these give me strength and motivation. 2024 and Rocky on forever
An amazing man and an inspiration too us all. Never gave up and kept his dreams in sight and worked too realize those dreams. Thank you for your inspiration.
You’re inspiration knocks down walls , your character rises to all heights . You flow like a white cap and rode them like the king . You deserve everything . So much heart!!
Amen! Sometimes it takes a little longer for us to realize it, be patient, trust in God. He puts us exactly where we need to be at the exact time we need to be there. It only takes Faith the size of a mustard seed.. And we can make it thru anything.
look i know its all very inspireing hearing these dream speeches. but its all 99percent bul shit most of the time. dont get sucked into the special life make ot happen crap. lifes just a numbers game when it comes to everything. lifes pritty horrible, most people are pritty horrible. trust, compassion, friendship, honesty, faith and good will are the things that will get u cut down and kicked in the gutter quicker than anything in this world. thats the only thing that is real or true in this world. dont buy the glory crap speeches.
Dreams can come true but it dosent happen to everyone unfortunately but never ever give up & if anyone says to you your never achieve your dream cut that person out your life & concentrate on your dream & you will make it & I think listening to motivation speeches from legends like sly really does keep you grounded & also keeps you fighting for your dream who agrees with me 👍👌
It’s sad that the future generations won’t and can’t feel and see the beauty, compassion, drive, desire, of the making of all these rocky movies. Gave many of us motivation, and inspiration to compete and train for sporting events. Well done Rock!
Rocky was for all of us a Hero !!! Especial the Song from Robert Tepper - No Easy Way Out!!! This is still my Jam after 35 years✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽! Thank you Rocco
I wonder if he really knows how inspirational he has been to my generation. If i really need inspiration i watch the training montage to Rocky 4!!! It has literally helped me through quite a bit of tough spots in my life!!! I would just like to say you are my favorite actor and an inspiration!!! God bless!!!!
I love his words and wisdom. Syllvestor Stallone, you are amazing. I wish I could meet you and talk to you. My favourite scenes are when your son was born in the film and when your son was old enough and you gave him that speech, outside the restaurant. "Let me tell you something, you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place. It will beat you to your knees and keep it there if you let it. But, its not how hard you get hit. It matters how you get up and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done." I love this speech and I love how much Rocky loved his wife Adrian. You are a true inspiration, Syllvestor. Thank you!!
I've been inspired by this character for close to 40 years, In one month I will graduate from the police academy at the age of 46. I still use Rockys warrior spirit to keep up with the 23 year olds at the academy. Favorite scene, rocky2 Tony tells Apolo "I seen you beat that man like I aint seen no man beat before and the man kept coming after you!!"

@Mr. Dan How about that: both are great and there is no need for comparison.
@Mr. Dan I was more of an Arnie fan, but these two have got quite a lot in common. They never gave up on what they believed was possible.
@Mr. Dan but Arnold Schwarzenegger is a good guy too, he speaks highly of Sly in the early part of this video. Thay both worked hard for their fame

2 times i tried suicide but just couldn't do it then my dad showed me rocky and i loved all of them they motivated me to keep going now im 18 healthy with no stutter and abs bc of rocky thank you so much sly for everything u will always be my inspiration and when i have kids i can't wait to show them rocky and hope they get motivated to keep going
And thank you Dad. But thank you to yourself because you decided to watch and listen to that movie.
Most kids wouldn't, I think.
Good to hear bro!
awesome
Great story man. One day make those bullies your employees.
@@savage3114 - Fuck that. I was bullied too and wouldn't hesitate to make my bullies my *slaves* .
Nobody could have played Rocky except Sly
Harry ABB a
Nicolas Cage and James Caan Or Kurt Russell. were supposed to play rocky. Imagine that.
other people could have played but it wouldn't have been the same, just like other people could have played The Terminator, Scarface, Rambo, etc.... but it wouldn't have been the same. The people who they got to play these rolls turned out to be the best option for the parts and made those characters iconic
Rob S. I agree. But could you have imagined Burt Reynolds , Michael j Fox, Nic cage, or James caan as rocky ?
@@EasyMoneyGoat lol nope
If you haven’t cried to a Rocky film, you’re not fully human yet.

I grow up with Rocky & Rambo , Stallone is more than an Actor he is an inspiration , living legend
I'm 50 years old and I have a dream , probably this dream never become true but at least I'm going to die in peace knowing that I tried. "Life is a JOURNEY, not a destination“
You can do it, I believe in you.
you still have 30-50 years, 50 is still young
Make a goal and meet your dream because fifty is not getting old anymore. You have got a long way to go
Try it out, what you got to lose in the end? Nothing, it's nothing that you lose and it's something what you gain. Go for it, try for it and don't give up till you tried all of it or got all of it. Thanks for the inspiration and have a nice, good and great day! ;)
50 is not old - plenty of time left my friend.
his rocky movies changed my life. I wouldnt be here without this man.
“I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life; I have envied a great many people who led difficult lives and led them well.” ― Theodore Roosevelt
Excellent quote
I never envied those,i admired them, envy is for the weak, never envy anyone
One of our greatest Americans. I encourage everybody to read and watch about Teddy Roosevelt
True.
I’ve watched the movies in very young age and I know them by heart. If you watch carefully you can take very much for your life, because the Rocky movies are not about boxing. They are about living life and this videos shows the essence of it. Thank you, good work sir.

Could not have said it better my friend👌👍
Rocky is more than just a character. Rocky is someone people wanna be, an inspiration
Dreams cost nothing. Stallone is the man.
My inspirational hero since I was 20 years old I’m 53 will be 54 in 2024. He was a true UNDERDOG.🙏🏾
You sound Les Brown 😁
Thank you
Can you please answer a few questions
?
One of the most iconic, important and motivating movie characters of all times.
Facts.
I sincerely thank Sylvester Stallone for giving Rocky Balboa to the world
Its not about how hard you hit. Its about how hard u get hit and keep moving forward .. Thats how winning is done.
A love story + human triumph against odds + great dialog + perfect casting + musical score= Rocky, a masterpiece.
This was beautiful, what Sylvester Stallone has overcome is amazing he is truly a legend
dont you have to be dead to be a legend?
@crossing legends never die
And this start with Arnold....Perfect.
Sylvester Stallone is the definition of perseverence. I got a lot to learn from Sly. What a legend.
Many people make fun of the rocky movies , most of them are young, they just can´t see the messages in those movies. Rocky, one of the best movies ever made from a broke man who risked everyting.
The character's emphasis on hard work is what makes him such an inspiring hero.
Thank you ❤
Just like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone is not only one of the greatest success stories of all time, but shows humility and the desire to inspire, motivate, and pull other people up.
Extraterrestrial Horse way to put it man
I Never heard Stallone talking like this. He is so calm, wise and very well spoken. He is not just muscle and strength. His face also looks peaceful. I have always admired him and Arnold.
I'm forever grateful for sly and rock's story ... I who didn't have a father growing up.. he was my father figure to never give up and keep moving forward.. that's how winning is done.. thank you 🙏
His story is the extremely motivational, the most inspiring story of all time.
Everyone sees Rocky the film, I see a creative genius. Sly has inspired me as a writer to finish my first children’s book. Seeing this has absolutely changed my approach to life and as a creator of joy. Joy not just for myself but for others, and isn’t that what life is all about at the end of the day.
I cried too much Rocky’s inspired me he is my hero I wanna meet him someday god please make my dream come true
As a 70’s kid. I grew up on Rocky. The Rocky vibe, music, training scenes, or the whole movie itself was and still is today, an inspiration.
Thank you how long have you been a fan
Who watching in 2020!
Bless up everyone don’t stop no matter how hard it gets
man ever time i’m down or sad i just look him up and he just makes me feel so much better
His name is sylvester stallone
But you will always remember him as Rocky
Or Rambo
What about Oscar
Rocky Balboa and John Rambo are his two most famous and successful characters as well as movies
Or .. Don't call me Rocky Or My Mom Will Shoot
Or Lincoln Hawk (Over The Top - but few care about that one 😂)
Exactly what we need !! Successful people saying continue you can make it as I did !!!
The legendary Mr Stallone who had a vision for himself and the films he wanted to create ..
The Rocky movies changed my life..

I love Sly I have watched him and been inspired and motivated by since I was 3 and watched rocky 3 and Rambo didn’t know my life would be changed and inspired. Fast forward 2023 and I’m getting ready to retire from the Army. I know Rambo was my first military influence 😊
The part of the video when he talks about people who had unrealized dreams. That just hits hard. Love you Sly.
I failed Math 4 times I kid you not. The 5th time now (last attempt) I'm getting A's in my class. I am very grateful. I let go of hope and relied on faith to push on through. I will be able to get my college degrees soon. I am 27, I should have been done with it years ago but here I am. 😥😌
LMAO. Good luck though!
Keep going and finishing the degree!
You can do it! It really doesn’t matter if you haven’t done it by now
It doesn't matter how many times you fail, how old you are the only thing that matters is finishing what you start. Keep going and crush that math class. Get your degree and never forget how hard it was but remember how amazing it felt when you completed the goal.
Good luck
Rocky 3 hit me hard in that scene with Adrienne.
Rocky: I'm afraid.
Adrienne: I'm afraid too. What's wrong with being afraid?
(Rocky feared the worst. But he went to the rematch anyway)
Hi
Use the pain, you've already went through it anyway!
💪
That’s actually such a good quote gonna stay in my head for a lifetime now
Utterly love the Rocky films. Thank you to Sylvester and everyone else involved in bringing these to us. With warmest best wishes from the UK. 🇬🇧🇺🇸

The Rocky series in general have a lot of inspiring quotes. However, the can definitely be said of Sylvester Stallone's career, especially the breakthrough for Rocky and his perseverance

You have opportunities every second of the day, it's all up to you.
look i know its all very inspireing hearing these dream speeches. but its all 99percent bul shit most of the time. dont get sucked into the special life make ot happen crap. lifes just a numbers game when it comes to everything. lifes pritty horrible, most people are pritty horrible. trust, compassion, friendship, honesty, faith and good will are the things that will get u cut down and kicked in the gutter quicker than anything in this world. thats the only thing that is real or true in this world. dont buy the glory crap speeches.
I love the way Arnold speaks at the background. And big salute to Rocky from Asia/Afghanistan.

Thank you!!
