Can you let me know where you plug the diagnostic cable in on the pro 90 please 🙏

Good to see you back with the videos.
Quick question about kingfisher marine. I tried to go on the app to order something and its not working, do you know why?

I have closed the website, I still own it. Its become to expensive to operate for very small returns. I was hoping to get it to a point where the physical work could reduce some but to be at all competitive, i need to drop prices to a point where its pointless. You can still order direct via email, info@kingfisher-marine.co.uk should you wish.

I am used to my Chinese hot air heater. I have all parts in spare and know them inside out an can fix any issue myself. Would like to go hydronic though.... Webasto looks like a fair price but I am really put off by these diagnostic tools that I will not have as an end user. Costly parts and dependency on a official repair shop is putting me off. Am I correct?

There are some issues you can correct yourself but without the diagnostics its going to be more difficult. Ans you wouldn't be able to calibrate for a clean burn, but you cant with a Chinese one unless you have a gas analyzer as I do. You do get error codes with the new ones that can point you in the right direction though and of course you get the guarantee with the Webasto. Most people do not fix their own heaters, or even wish to but yes Its going to cost for a specialist to come out and look at it. I know you are not complaining about the cost of an engineer but..... The software (with training) cost me around £1500, Gas analyzer £750 ( £140 pa calibration), Computer £300, specialist insurance £1200 pa, all go into the cost per hour to end user. hope this helps.

@@narrowboatelectrician Thanks! Yes it does help. Cost is not an issue, good honest engineers are. They are very scarce! My local tech that is allowed to work in my harbor have people remove their hot air heater to be tested at their workshop, while most issues are related to the installation in my opinion. Lazy b.. eh people :-)

You are right, I'd say 50-50 issues on boat or within heater, Just testing the heater is not the full story.
