The Island was formed at the end of the Ice Age. As the ice receeded north the weight of ice lessened on the UK and the land tilted allowing the sea to form the Solent from a river to what it is now. The skeleton of a whale was found half way across the width of Scotland indicating how much the land mass had risen.
Another enjoyable video Paul, didn't quite go past my place in Brighstone. Very familar roads I do enjoy riding them, hopefully meet up sometime.

Did the DGR last year from Dave Deaths, it was an excellent turnout, I presume it will be the same this year. Nice views of Newtown.

I agree with you 100%. The weather was great on the day. It’s a few weeks ago now as I haven’t been able to ride recently due to a dodgy knee. Hope to be back on it soon.

That was a fine ride on a fine day! How tolerant is the driving in peak tourist times? I notice the roads, for obvious reason are fairly small.
Thanks Simon. When it gets busy in high tourist season the main roads tend to be fairly crowded, but you can always find a quiet country lane to ride. Driving standards tend to drop massively during the summer months so you have to be on your guard.
