I rate this level of depth for something that appears as minor as a tier 2 perk in Medic. I have to admit I play solo a ton and so dropping Quick Fix into a build is an almost mechanical process for me - I will be more careful in the future when recommending it to other players though. Great stuff.
TL:DW Painkillers is the go-skill when playing in pubs and/or with friends as the damage reduction is extremely good. However, it is completely useless if you play with IA or if you play solo. Not to mention, if you use FAKs, Quick Fix might be better, since you want to deploy them ASAP when you are in a pickle.
I use painkiller aced if i want to go inspire aced,if i wanna basic or not inspire,i take quick fix aced or basic, painkiller is uselles cuz you gonna clear the area anyway
I've said it a thousand times and I'll say it a thousand more: if you need to drop a Doctor Bag and heal ASAP, you're about to put it in a terrible spot. Go somewhere safe, which is done much easier with Painkillers, then deploy and heal.
Just bring Painkillers aced and Quick Fix basic. Two skill points isn’t exactly asking for a whole lot, and by far the most useful stat of Quick Fix is it’s faster deploy and interaction speed.
Uh. I use Stoic and do use Quick Fix for FAQk. I do try to kill at least some nearby enemies before reviving someone if possible though. Plus the mere act of shooting makes the AI prefer to shot at me instead of the guy I just revived (I believe or at least it seems like it works like that).
Bad information from higher youtubers. Just say B33croft everbody knows he spreads alot of shit sometimes. I had problem with my anarchist build before i found Carrot (another payday youtuber) because i was using crofts shitty version
I kinda like croft, our playstyle is very similar but once you get into serious builds his builds fall very short, he lacks creativity and always follows the same scheme, look at his gambler build, instead of making it a support build he basically tried to make it the same frontline build he always does, which just doesn't work, only reason his builds work is because he himself is very good at the game
Imo quick fix basic is always a must have because being able to deploy things faster is good and can be a life saver, but Painkillers aced should still be taken
Painkillers is Way better when you have to secure a unsecured revive, and quick fix is better when you're patching up with no donws left On most situacions, you're going to patch up at the same time as you were revived, so it is always better to use painkillers
Doesnt the 10% damage reduction help if youre using muscle with ICTV where you have 221 armor? Painkillers is still better especially since I'm an armorer main tho
When I watched B33 and saw him recommend quick fix I was like but why? 50% dmg reduction sounds good to save people from instantly dying after a res. 10% sounds good but after 2 minutes you'll probably be in cover again so might as well save some souls with painkillers.
It depends on the build, quick fix can provide some breakpoints for armor on Crook if you do Underdog ace, Quick Fix ace, and Frenzy basic with HBV can let you have 2-hit armor and dodge. That being said I find have frenzy aced and underdog aced to be much more reliable since having to consistently remember to have the 10% from Quick Fix Aced up is a pain in the arse. So Quick Fix can in some builds provide breakpoints, but IMO yeah, I find Doctor Bags and Pain Killers so much better.
I think instead of underdog you can rake die hard aced, iron man basic, frenzy aced and hbv which will be more consistent since you won't need enemies targeting you (pretty costly though but it's crook)
I don't really get it. In a FAK build I would much rather have quick fix and clear a space before i revive my partners anyway. Painkillers aced kinda just seems like the "invest points here if you dont want to go and properly revive your teammate" skill. Then again, what do I know. I'm not the one writing guides on this shit.
Also why didn't you just run behind cover at 2:40? I'm learning a lot from you so I mean no disrespect but that just seems like a bad play being blamed on someone else's build, man.
@@vhascometo9985 The subtitles did say bad play, and bad revive. But it goes to show if there are players making 'bad plays' similar to this one pressing W, they could be in this scenario blowing other inspire cooldowns for the sake of quick fix medic bags or not clearing the area first. I explained more here th-cam.com/video/6BXPromQCxE/w-d-xo.html
Looking at breakpoints with only max hp/armor and no other damage reduction isn't enough to say that it is never useful. An extra 10% damage reduction in conjunction with chipped hp/armor or another damage reduction ability could well push it to a breakpoint. I fully agree with that painkillers is much better, but such simplistic models do not fully simulate the intricacies of actual gameplay. To be clear, I don't think these circumstancial breakpoints are really impactful, but they do exist. The only noticeable disadvantage I can see is for stoics that like to slap down panic FAKs.
My only question is, where does the extra 6% come from? Aced Painkillers gives a total of 80% damage reduction, so I'm confused where the additional 6% is coming from. Any math to explain this will really help me out.
Also kev your good player and make decent builds but i just cant deal with all the weeb shit in your vids man, no offence. But thats why im not subbing dont need to see that on my front page all the time
In what scenario does this discussion require 30 minutes of video...? The dmg redux of Painkillers is negligible in higher levels and should be avoided. Mayhem and below, PK is fine and works well. A fast doc bag or FAK deploy time is ALWAYS a good thing so Quick Fix basic is never a bad choice. If you or the majority of your party is using anarchist or other armor gating techniques, PK becomes even less valuable... See, 30 seconds of text to replace a 30 minute video.
No. Just no lol. 86% damage reduction from a 225 shot becomes 31.5 damage. Placing meds earlier is always faster than quick fix, even if you don't need them at that second. People also play with health based perk decks, that PK revive will save them from 1-2 more shots. People also wear 70 armor for light swat breakpoints. And your Anarchist reason? When you get revived you get full armor, so having that PK buff would mean 5 seconds of a lot of tanking. I sure hope you aren't in custody from someone's terrible quick fix revive.
@@KevKild K. You can ignore literally everything about playing that tells you that you don't need that damage redux after being rezzed. Don't shoot, you won't get shot.
