I always wondered how adventurers were supposed to carry potions at the ready. I have this vision of Kenneth Branagh from Henry V with baby food jars died with strings all over his doublet.
Completely on topic: Yes, bring your own healing.

For 5e at least ive found that potions really arent worth their cost or action economy, healing ones especially.
Now spellwrought tattoos on the other hand? They're a direct upgrade from scrolls, and for a couple of hundred gold you can get revivify and remove curse on standby before you even have the spell slots to cast them. And if you really push it you can get them inked onto the fighter for redundancy in case the cleric bites it first!
