The Kiulu River Adventure

After his first East Malaysia river adventure at Ranau last year, Fred Goh travels to Sabah once again in search of the beautiful Pelian (Mahseer) on bait finesse tackle. This time, his adventure brings him to the beautiful Kiulu River where he encounters hard fighting Pelian and Sebarau.

Watching again and noticed that you cast with youre right hand and don't change the hand to retrieve, I learned to cast that way Because I fish mostly on rivers and when you cast the the current you need to start quickly to crank because the current move the bait to fast

Yes, it's better for River Fishing. One way is to get a faster retrieve bait cast reel.
As the running river water is really fast. In no time, your lures get snag before you know it.

There is a permit to pay to the local to fish this stream. The local natives are taking care of this stream and hence the fishing is really good. The fee is reasonable, not pricy.

Hello Mainderson, we use a slim beauty knot to connect the braided mainline to fluorocarbon leader. We don't use swivels for this UL game but use a VMC snap to connect the leader to the lure to facilitate easy lure change.
