I love this design, but more importantly, I love how it transforms a bezel; I had bezeled a fancy stone with a simple plain bezel. Every time I went to wear this particular ring it never really made it to my finger because I always felt the bezel was missing something. Then, I finally decided to add the embellishments to the bezel re: inside scalloped edge & outer delica ring. Well, now this ring is sitting on my finger and I just love it and actually want to wear it. Thanks for this wonderful design Stephanie :-)

Thank you for this video. I had better success with a snug fitting top bezel when instead of a fourth row of delicas I used 15/0s. The under bezel was fine. Makes me crazy when a bezel is loose.

I was wondering something - you mentioned extra thread lengths on the video when you were making the lovely band for the ring; do you find it wastes a lot of thread during projects, or can you use the lengths you cut off for other things? Are they long enough? Just wondering because I am stingy with the expensive threads! I love the ring, it's beautiful
That wasn't meant as a criticism!! Reading it over it sounded like it :(
I didn't take it as a criticism a all 😀 I tend to use more thread than I need. If I have enough left over I use it for other projects or for playing with new designs. I'd rather have a little left over than run out during a crucial point in a piece. So I guess you can put a little less on your needle than I do 😉😍😊

Hi Stephanie, I am trying to make rings with just the band. I can’t get the closure/joining right. The interlace makes a prettier ring than say a ladder stitch so I’d like to get this right. Can you help? Maybe a tutorial on just the band or direct me to one that can show me? Thx so much, namaste.

Is there a formula for determining how many 11/0 to go around a 10x14mm oval cabochon or actually any size? I don’t always have the exact same size as yours but can never figure out how to calculate the number of beads needed to bezel cabochons. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Hi Diana 🌸Thank you, I’m so glad you like the ring. You could use 15/0’s. It is a big ring so make sure you reinforce very well so the band is sturdy😀

Hi Eileen - You’re welcome 😉 Yes, you can definitely paint a resin on the back to protect the stone. You could also bead the back.
