Aaron I see your point, I hadn't thought of it like that, I just was considering doing the same thing and I guess I wanted to get a better understanding of the schedule there and what happens more deeply. But I also would not want to be doing that on my vacay so i retract my statement
Adam! reason why I started watching your videos was because when I bought my 240 I didn't know what to use it for! I still don't know but I'm leaning to the drifting community more now !!! Keep up the great work you do! Great videos!
RevoltTrain I usually like Taylors videos but i get really boored of his Japan vids they are basicly 20 mins of him dooing the same run 3 min break then another 20 mins of the same run again
really do need to go experience more of Japan so much to do other than drifting i get thats why they are there but 2 days wont be hard to check out other shit
Adam and Taylor's driving has improved so much since the start of the trip, its great watching you's feed it and get comfortable in the cars/tracks. loving these videos
Dude this thing basically has a full interior and pristine body panels, I wouldn't classify this as a missile. Edit: After further research, it seems that in Japan (And maybe other eastern countries), drift missiles are usually decent vehicles used for drift practice in place of your main drifter car. Western drift culture has twisted the meaning of "drift missile" to mean a shelled out beater car that promises function over form. Also, Ebisu used to allow those shelled out beater cars to a certain extent but they changed their rulings to somewhat ban these types of cars for safety and liability reasons. The difference in culture is very interesting, nonetheless. Adam said it best when he remarked that many Americans would regard these cars as show cars.
Missiles are supposed to be regular drift cars with minor mods to hone skills with so you don't wreck your regular drift car. The stripped out, spray painted abominations are an entirely American creation of recent years.
I didn't mean missiles in general were an America invention. I meant intentionally making the car look bad or destroying it simply because its a missile car was the American contribution.
Csniper I ride bmx but I like drifting so I enjoy the vids on ebisu and car related stuff in general but I hate the vids which are about fixing the car building the 2jz etc
They're there for 2 weeks im sure the have plans to explore.. I mean they pay like 7-8 grand to be there and drift i wouldn't want to waste my money not utilizing what i paid for
Tougeninja Productions I think it is a dream of many to spend their time at Ebisu and shred tires all day (mine also). Japan has many car events, but many of them suddenly are closed for tourists or newcomers as general (I dont mean now grandmas and kids). Now, he bought a car and invest some money in it and it would be a loss if he decided to just leave it and go exploring :) I enjoy that raw car footage so much, cause really you can see how you can improve your driving skills in few days, driving Cressida or another jap sedan :) Doing it in touge track at Ebisu is just priceless for me as a petrolhead and JDM lover :D
they probably just wanted to get to know the car really well so that they could drift confidently for matsuri with a tons of other people, i can imagine it would be a lot scarier if they had less experience in RHD, the courses, and close tandems especially at night
Going to Ebisu is a really expensive venture, you're looking at around two thousand just for a round trip flight, 3-5k for the car then the maintenance on the car while you're there. That alone imo justifies not exploring elsewhere. Plus Nihonmatsu (where Ebisu Circuit is) is in the middle of nowhere.
r154 are prob dirt cheap there and so are coil overs. idk why u wouldnt pick up the parts now ans enjoy a good driving car. im rather surprised u wouldnt pick up any 2jz parts or anything for your cars back home while you in a area where u can get rare and good parts alot cheaper than u can then buying them in the states
TheOystei but ur right 1 jz motors are dirt cheap. least in north east us. i can pick one up for 1500-1800. its cheaper than an sr. sad thing is i only know like 2 ppl that actually own one. no one uses them up here
a little cheaper bc no shipping, but otherwise same price. A lot of other boxes can be used, w58 is a cheap alternative that should hold his power, but then you have to do propshaft etc, so usually best to use the same when on this sort of a trip.
11:00 really showed your drift progression. Throughout all your videos I see the most skill coming through when you are thrown into a whole new terrain and a whole new Japanese whip.
My God.. watching you tandem is nerve racking.. I know you're better than me at drifting I don't even drift but as someone who understands and respects the craft of drifting I can say you are sketch balls at tandems especially in that car. Would be rad to see you drift your 240 out there I bet you would be 10x better
I really like how you try and set goals for yourself. And try and push yourself. Always try and be open to learning and bettering yourself. Good shit pimp
Adam, you guys are in of the most culturally rich places on Earth. I know you are there to get your money's worth out of drifting, but you really should spend a day or two out in one of the major cities of Japan. Check out some of the auto museums(nissan/nismo factory, toyota motors museum, etc.). You and Taylor keep posting literally the same 20min of the same course footage in Japan. Go do something else!
SOLOIIguru Taylor has to feed his grandkids and Adam is just going balls to the walls at all times in his missile with absolutely no regard for proper driving/drifting.....it actually takes finesse not just brute force. Taylor should show him the way of the grand father
vegetasanchez LOL at you being so butt-hurt about this. How in the world are either of my comments "entitled"? Where did I request special treatment or anything close to it? My suggestion in the first comment was merely an attempt to get them to go out and do more for themselves (notice, I did not mention anything about me, or the audience[implying me]). I know that if I went to japan for 2 weeks, regardless of whether I was hoping to go back in the next year or two, I would want to spend at least one day exploring the amazing culture (besides the drifting) in Japan. Now, go cry somewhere else, little baby.
I never comment on videos but you have progressed great in these few days, your style looks way more natural and poised. I'm very impressed wish i was able to join this sport.
That's a good question that probably won't be answered by him lmao IMO it was probably pretty easy to pick up on since it is longer. Longer wheelbase = slower rotation comparatively to his S-chassis
Thanks for answering, I figured as much. I've never tried drifting before, aside from being an idiot in the snow with my S14 back in high school, lol. So a shorter wheelbase would make snap over-steer possibly more unpredictable and harder to drift?
Adam your and taylors vids have been basically my life since you got there. Im so jealous. And its sick to see how much your driving has improved in just a few days. Cant wait to see the rest of the trip and Alexi!
He was killing it! Honestly after the beginning I'm surprised he figured it out this quick. So at the end of the day he was smart and didn't wreck. Congrats :D
hope to see Alexi ride along with you guys and give you some pointers and then all the jzx crew in a massive tandem train, loving the japan series. shout out from Australia!
It seems like when Adam drives, he is REACTIVE instead of PROACTIVE. His hands are all over the placce, smashing the wheel left and right when it's too late. If you watch Taylor and these other guys, hands and steering wheel are smooth and fluid and they seem to initiate steering wheel corrections at the right time. With all that being said, Adam is still a BADASS and I love his content.
UnrL oDzzy it's like a drug you can't get enough of, the progression the adrenaline the feeling of being in total chaos while being totally in control.
Machine Gun Funk I haven't I just think he should do more like visit tokyo drifting is fun and all but if he went different places for fun it would be chill
Adam I have a hunch that your handbrake is causing you to lose control because you're used to it being closer to the wheel as well as it being on the other side. You should try to not use the handbrake as much, or use it in short/quick spurts. I see that Taylor does a lot of clutch kick initiation, maybe try that...ps I see your way more comfortable now so idk
I hope Adam got to see the comment I left him in his last video, everyone would be more in love with your videos if there are exterior shots around the track, what do you guys think. like so Adam can see!!
You should do some ride alongs with Alexi and vice versa, with pointers to the track in general/your driving, followed by tandems. Loving this to bits and pieces!! Chase cam is the best yet, more please!
YES you do not know how hyped i am that your doing a video with noriyaro (alexi). out of all the TH-camrs in the drifting community Alexi's videos are what got me into drifting. would love to see tandems with alexi even a little drift battle.
no, im enjoying the bro time with just adam and taylor and the other guys with no whiny shadow/ fan service following adam around. and are you fucking nuts? she would hate it, she is basically the "gamer gurl" of the drift scene, she likes the attention and look it brings owning a drift car but she has extremely little interest in the actual activity
Stephen Woehl sorry you think that dude, I'm just supporting Adam, the fact that you would be rude to me out of nowhere when you don't even know me tells me you must not be in the correct mindset or having a good day, so I hope your day gets better!
Damn son, finally I can see you both together (Adam & Alexi) at least for the last 5 min of the video. Just hangout and do some drift together. You guys are great keep it up.
One of the best things about come home from school is, everyday there is a new video right when I walk in the door!
We wan to see all the behind the scenes like when u are putting on the tires like this comment so Adam can see it👍👍
Pedro Alfaro also maybe put a count of the tires of how often you replace them and maybe the time in which things happen in the day
Or just do your own thing- whatever allows you your preferred amount of seat time vs. recording/editing/etc.
Pedro Alfaro *scenes*
let the man enjoy his holiday and not have to film every single thing he does haha
I still don't know but I'm leaning to the drifting community more now
!!!
Keep up the great work you do!
Great videos!
i Detlz you'll just ruin it like every other drift 240
i Detlz well if you want to see a 240 that isn't for drifting and the guy uses it for grip check out Christian Meyer
Machine Freaks you can use it to get places...
Are you guys gonna be doing any exploring of Japan and the culture or just drifting?
Think Taylor is doing more videos related to outside of Ebisu.
RevoltTrain I usually like Taylors videos but i get really boored of his Japan vids they are basicly 20 mins of him dooing the same run 3 min break then another 20 mins of the same run again
just the car culture haha
really do need to go experience more of Japan so much to do other than drifting i get thats why they are there but 2 days wont be hard to check out other shit
beastofskate51 they ARE exploring the culture 🖒🖒
Wooo Alexi/Noriyaro! Really don't know what you should do together, just do something! And you better get us some good videos from Ebisu too Noriyaro!
Adam and Taylor's driving has improved so much since the start of the trip, its great watching you's feed it and get comfortable in the cars/tracks.
loving these videos
adam's car sounds like everything is fucking dying
Its a missile what do you expect.
Dude this thing basically has a full interior and pristine body panels, I wouldn't classify this as a missile.
Edit: After further research, it seems that in Japan (And maybe other eastern countries), drift missiles are usually decent vehicles used for drift practice in place of your main drifter car. The difference in culture is very interesting, nonetheless. Adam said it best when he remarked that many Americans would regard these cars as show cars.
Thats because Ebisu has some standards for missiles. They have to be safe.
The BMX people must be so salty
Fock em
Most BMX people I know are also into cars, fuck the small percentage that dont.
Csniper I ride bmx but I like drifting so I enjoy the vids on ebisu and car related stuff in general but I hate the vids which are about fixing the car building the 2jz etc
@It's Wiz You'd never be able to own a drift car if you don't like repairs xD
as chris rudnick would say... fockem
Adam can we please get a roof cam and some clips of you drifting on Ebisu West? (like of you agree :)
loved the follow cam btw
#initiaLZ
pls like so adam can see😊
needs more euro beats.
thetreeshaveads it does honestly. Adam find some copyright free euro beat tracks for some of the raw drifiting clips PLEASE. Especially on touge runs
NOOO. Engine and tire noise is the only music you need with drifting.
+driftincatz I said it before, but I need that + the Cresta on a shirt.
mazakaa!!!
Are you going anywhere else besides ebisu? Japan has so much to offer in car culture. you missed wekfest japan like 2 days ago......
Kamron he was just informing them he isn't butthurt lol
they probably just wanted to get to know the car really well so that they could drift confidently for matsuri with a tons of other people, i can imagine it would be a lot scarier if they had less experience in RHD, the courses, and close tandems especially at night

Subscribed not long ago; absolutely in love with your content, from the whole 1j build and now the daily ebisu videos; goals.
r154 are prob dirt cheap there and so are coil overs. idk why u wouldnt pick up the parts now ans enjoy a good driving car. im rather surprised u wouldnt pick up any 2jz parts or anything for your cars back home while you in a area where u can get rare and good parts alot cheaper than u can then buying them in the states
JZ engines and gearboxes are so sought after for export they are not cheap in japan compared to the rest of the world anymore.
TheOystei im sure still cheaper regardless. bc ur cutting out import cost. also thats not the only trans for the 1j u can use.
TheOystei but ur right 1 jz motors are dirt cheap. least in north east us. i can pick one up for 1500-1800. its cheaper than an sr. sad thing is i only know like 2 ppl that actually own one. no one uses them up here

11:00 really showed your drift progression. Throughout all your videos I see the most skill coming through when you are thrown into a whole new terrain and a whole new Japanese whip.
Yeeeee I love these videos, it's also clear you have improved over the past few days so well done👌😃
Adam has really improved since he first got to Japan, props to you man!

fuck off they already dont vlog just because you guys say its the same video
vegetasanchez salty reply is salty
vegetasanchez LOL at you being so butt-hurt about this. How in the world are either of my comments "entitled"? Where did I request special treatment or anything close to it? My suggestion in the first comment was merely an attempt to get them to go out and do more for themselves (notice, I did not mention anything about me, or the audience[implying me]). LOVING these Japan videos !
am i the only one miss seeing Nicole in the vlogs ?
like the comment if you want Nicole come to Japan
I never comment on videos but you have progressed great in these few days, your style looks way more natural and poised. I'm very impressed wish i was able to join this sport.
Was it hard to get use to the longer wheelbase in contrast to your S13?
That's a good question that probably won't be answered by him lmao
IMO it was probably pretty easy to pick up on since it is longer. Longer wheelbase = slower rotation comparatively to his S-chassis
Sarah -n- Tuned the jzx wheelbase is only 30cm longer then a 240sx so it wouldn't be much different just extra weight to deal with being 4 door
Sarah -n- Tuned 240sx wheel base is 247.4cm where the jzx is 271.7cm
The longer the car, the easier to drift. My guess is the car itself might have taken a good hour or so to get use to, the wheelbase... Not so much.
Thanks for answering, I figured as much. I've never tried drifting before, aside from being an idiot in the snow with my S14 back in high school, lol. So a shorter wheelbase would make snap over-steer possibly more unpredictable and harder to drift?

This tj hunt video looks great !
He improved a lot in this vid, nah?
Derek Lionhart Ya I'd say he's doing quite well. This isn't a go cart track
He was killing it! Honestly after the beginning I'm surprised he figured it out this quick. So at the end of the day he was smart and didn't wreck. Congrats :D
tandems are beautiful
hope to see Alexi ride along with you guys and give you some pointers and then all the jzx crew in a massive tandem train, loving the japan series. shout out from Australia!

Adam you're getting so much better at drifting! 😊 Glad to see you progressing

Shane Grattan here dude
Hereeee bruh
Long time noriyaro follower. Awesome to see him getting involved with other channels!
Tandem with the real OG's or any Japanese drifter and then say "Conquering touge"
nonetheless, cool video.
The follow cam footage on the touge was so sick!
damnit as soon as I was leaving for school, this shows up, y Adam?
Car STUFF274 You know it'll be here when you come back :P Do your best in school my friend ✌
Thanks bro
Car STUFF274 I'm watching in class 😂
Car STUFF274 well i am going to bed right now, timezones are really different!
School at the middle of a night? lol
I love to see these mostly stock cars getting it on the track. Truly inspiring.
Adam can't hang
Seems that way. I don't really blame him though because he had basically no tandem experience before this trip.
yeah for sure he's still killing it though
jon james dam
I have no doubt that he will be banging doors by the end of this trip, hes come so far in so little time.
Collindoesdrifting ae your that little kid that rips in the Beemer. I see your comments plotted all over his videos
The chase cam plus the helmet cam looked great, cool seeing more of the exterior of the car while drifting
Get Alexi to give you a ride in the beer can Skyline.
That tandem train of white jdm sedans looks baller af!
that r33 dammn
It seems like when Adam drives, he is REACTIVE instead of PROACTIVE. His hands are all over the placce, smashing the wheel left and right when it's too late. If you watch Taylor and these other guys, hands and steering wheel are smooth and fluid and they seem to initiate steering wheel corrections at the right time. With all that being said, Adam is still a BADASS and I love his content.
Do more in Japan than just drifting would make 4 some awesome content 😍
UnrL oDzzy clearly you've never drifted
UnrL oDzzy it's like a drug you can't get enough of, the progression the adrenaline the feeling of being in total chaos while being totally in control.
Machine Gun Funk I haven't I just think he should do more like visit tokyo drifting is fun and all but if he went different places for fun it would be chill
Unrl oDozzy he went there because he nd taylor personally wanted to go drifting. so thats what theyre gunna do.
The sound of that RB engine in that skyline is the best
$50 says Adam splits his car in half by the end of this trip.
this is the best car channel on TH-cam.
adam is a good driver, but.....he doesnt have that important thing that every skillfull drifter must have...........BALLS!!!
Always looking forward to coming home and watch a good vlog from Adam! Oh and tandems with alexi would be fire!!!
Love you videos broo❤
gaay
Didn't think it could get much better ....then Alexi shows up!!! Can not wait for the rest of the vids!!!
Notification squad
When you saw Alexi I got so hyped can't wait for move videos with both of you ^~^
Adam I have a hunch that your handbrake is causing you to lose control because you're used to it being closer to the wheel as well as it being on the other side. You should try to not use the handbrake as much, or use it in short/quick spurts. I see that Taylor does a lot of clutch kick initiation, maybe try that...ps I see your way more comfortable now so idk
you can hear how happy adam is in japan, and i love it
I hope Adam got to see the comment I left him in his last video, everyone would be more in love with your videos if there are exterior shots around the track, what do you guys think. like so Adam can see!!
Artillery Blerim did you watch the vídeo? lol
Yeah I did lol, but I had to stop half way cause I was going to School haha
You should do some ride alongs with Alexi and vice versa, with pointers to the track in general/your driving, followed by tandems. Loving this to bits and pieces!! Chase cam is the best yet, more please!
noice
Great video Adam, this Japan trip looks sick coming along way with you technique and that chase cam looked amazing
Under a minute
YES you do not know how hyped i am that your doing a video with noriyaro (alexi). out of all the TH-camrs in the drifting community Alexi's videos are what got me into drifting.
would love to see tandems with alexi even a little drift battle.
Would have been 1000% better videos if Nichole had gone to Japan too.

She wouldnt enjoy it
no, im enjoying the bro time with just adam and taylor and the other guys with no whiny shadow/ fan service following adam around.
and are you fucking nuts? she would hate it, she is basically the "gamer gurl" of the drift scene, she likes the attention and look it brings owning a drift car but she has extremely little interest in the actual activity

hybridEP3 it gets boring to see the same stuff everyday
Noriyaro HYPE!! That guy is a legend.
If Adam doesn't pin this comment, he will be as bad at drifting as TJ Hunt.
Rylan Dunivan get a life you probs don't even know how to start a car😂

All committed LZ lovers give me a like!!!
Shane Fazzino stop begging
Stephen Woehl sorry you think that dude, I'm just supporting Adam, the fact that you would be rude to me out of nowhere when you don't even know me tells me you must not be in the correct mindset or having a good day, so I hope your day gets better!
You guys are getting better and better.
1st
cool
You are getting better every day
2021 really loving this Japan trip
Ebisu seems like such a chill place to hang out
That last chase cam footage was on point!
the footage from the car following you was the best footage of it all

Adam, you have become so much better at doing the touge. Keep up the good videos!!!
so excited for the nori yaro co-video!!! love his stuff and drift coverage!
Those over-head shots at about 3:00 were sick.
Keep killin it in Japan Adam!!!
Damn son, finally I can see you both together (Adam & Alexi) at least for the last 5 min of the video. Just hangout and do some drift together. You guys are great keep it up.
