Your xj is identical to the 99 I have and those sliders look awesome!!! I’m definitely getting a set for my xj, and thanks for an excellent install video. Looking good my friend!!! 👍

@@ludercoarms It’s nice to see another xj so well taken care of. I live here in North Georgia and if you ever decide to do some trail riding let me know, I’d love to ride with you my friend. And from one older guy to another, keep up the awesome work and videos on your build !!! 👍

I like how those look. Kinda nice to also have a bit of a side step. Since it angles up it should do a good job pushing when rubbing on a rock. Strange they did two separate pinch seam attachment spots. When I built mine I ran a piece of angle iron the whole length of the pinch seam. I used 2 square tubes to go to the unibody like these but one I had it attach in the corner by the leaf spring mount in a L bracket. I used 1/4 2x4 but I still wonder if it takes a huge hit will it collapse the pinch welds upwards. This build is turning out well.

I have rolled her on her side once since putting them on and used the driver's side slider to attach a strap to roll it back onto her wheels, and there was no damage to either side, so I am very happy with them. The two rear brackets have a L shaped tab that also mounts to the spring hanger as you describe. Thanks for watching!!!

I have never really been a fan of the bolt on sliders. I welded mine onto the frame. I had those until i did frame stiffeners, and then i replaced the rocker panels with 2x6 quarter wall tube.
Let me know how those hold up. I always wonder if they can take a serious hit or if them are more cosmetic than anything else. Nice looking XJ!

Thanks!! So far they are great, I used a strap around one of them to roll her back onto her wheels when I slow rolled her on her side, still good and solid. We rolled it over onto it's passenger side, and the slider did just what it was designed for and suffered no damage. I live in South Carolina so not too many rock crawling opportunities, but they do a good job of sliding around trees on tight trails. Time will tell but so far I am impressed with them.

@LuderCo Arms my last sliders stuck out like 4" from the body to help keep rocks and whatever else out of the door panels. Tube is so expensive right now that i haven't put on a rub rail yet, but i definitely will. I did 4 supports back to the frame so they should hold up really well.
