It is because of this game that I bought a Voodoo2 then... my 2D card was a Matrox Millenium 2.
Now I'm playing the RTX Remake of this game using a 4090.

I first played Quake 2 in software mode on an S3 Trio 64UV+ card, shortly afterwards I became the proud owner of a 3Dfx VooDoo 1 and that was a completely new experience. Good memories:)
