Shizuo held many regrets in his life. Some more minor than others, but still regrets nonetheless. If he were to be able to turn back time and fix all his mistakes, there would be way too many to keep track of.
Now, he regrets ever leaving his home yesterday, or whenever it was.
It's hard to tell what happened as he's slowly coming back to his senses, but one thing for sure, he has never seen this place in his life.
As Shizuo pulls himself upright on the floor, he notices just how terrible he feels. His body is sore, his head aches for whatever reason, he feels like he's about to throw up any second now.
Shizuo : Ugh- fuck, I feel like shit. What the hell?
He looks around at his surroundings. It's a restroom, that was obvious enough, with the stalls lined up on one side of the room and the sinks on the other. He starts talking to himself out loud, trying to make sense of the situation.
Shizuo : Why am I in a stupid restroom? How did I black out in a restroom? I swear I didn't eat anything yesterday.
His hand pats the side of his hip where his pant pocket is, pulling out the items inside. It's really just his wallet and phone.
Shizuo : •shrugs• At least I didn't get mugged again.
Shizuo's hand reaches for the edge of the sink, pulling himself off the floor. He feels like he's getting more sick by the second. His finger presses the power button on his phone as he stares at the cracked screen.
Shizuo : S-shit, who do I call- I don't want to owe anyone anything after this though, fuck.
The near empty contact list on the screen becomes more and more blurry as his headache worsens. Shizuo grips onto the faucet, sliding his phone and wallet beside the sink.
Shizuo : Agh, fuck- fucking sh-
The contents of his stomach spill out of his throat and into the sink. It burns. His retching is followed by more vomiting, the acidic taste lingering in his mouth. The liquid in the sink flows down the drain.
He pants, his shoulders heaving. It felt like he threw up all of his insides.
After Shizuo rinsed out his mouth, he reaches for his wallet, looking through it. Parts of it was peeling off and the zipper was kind of broken but did he care? No.
Shizuo : Did I forget to put in the tissues again, goddamnit. Wait, what the-
He pulls out what appears to be a card, holding it up in front of his face. It's an ID card, one given to him when he was granted the title of an ultimate. Frankly, one of the worst days of his life. Reading only four words on it made him shove it back into his wallet.
Shizuo Kurosaki, Ultimate Fraud.
That's what he is. At least, that's what people think he is. Shizuo could've sworn he threw that card in a random junk drawer at home when he was cleaning up one day, but here it is, in his wallet. He would've burned that card and every other document that came with it, but he knew it would only make those officials hate him more than they already did, probably.
He doesn't care. He never will care for that.
His ultimate 'talent' serves no purpose other than to remind him of the fact that he is a criminal and a bad person. But he already knew that. They weren't helping him in any way, it was just a decoration at this point. He's just a name in the database. The only good thing that's come out of it is the fact that he isn't in jail.
But back to the present.
Shizuo splashes the running a bit onto the sink, cleaning it up before he would walk out. It's common decency, he thinks.
As he steps away from the sink and turns the corner, he nearly runs into someone walking in. He stumbles, backing into the side of the sink.
??? : Ah- sorry, are you okay?
Great, now he has to talk to someone. As if his day couldn't get any worse.

I started posting less frequently than before these past weeks so Im a bit behind schedule
I'll probably post the prologue during chapter 4 so I can start chapter 1 of this fangan when drlom is at chapter 5
