One of my sims currently has $3.1million and none from cheats. She's an author and writes a crazy amount of books so gets almost $12k a day from royalties. She has works as a journalist at the top of the career but since she has written so many books shes a 5 star celeb and one of the perks is better pay plus Ive been keeping her alive with the potion of youth so shes had 50 raises while at the top of her career, not a cheat, its in the game. Also she has a degree in communications which means she gets extra on top of that So she brings in around $14k a day from work. She works 4 days a week and the royalties are daily so she alone is bringing in $140k a week. She also has the shrewd trait she got from completion an aspiration which means she gets a sum of money based on her household sum once a year (the last day of winter) and since its so high thats an extra 100k added per yer at this point.

idontknowwhatimdoinglol Well you either need the Kleptomaniac trait, but I used a mod so you can swipe using your Mischief skill (at least level 2). I’m not sure if the higher levels can swipe better, but I managed to swipe couches and lämps from public lots.
@@idontknowwhatimdoinglol515 you'll need to get your mischief skill up. My kleptomaniac sims could only swipe small objects at first, but by level 10 they could swipe computers, TVs, etc :)

If you make a Steal Things club you have the option of stealing stuff that even Kleptos normally can't. Clubs are so exploitable.

It also works well in the sims 3. I used to have a kleptomaniac sim in this game and went to the cemetary hoping he'd steal a big statue...But he stole a freaking tombstone of someone who starved to death.

once i was like “okay, let’s play this household without using cheats.” then i discovered that sims can play in the lottery. First try and my sim won. I really wanted to play like a normal person but sims was like nah

The easiest way I found was in the sims 4 seasons. During thanks giving buy as many of the 15 simoleon gnomes as you can. Save and give them future cubes [they never fail for me] once thanks giving is over move them into your back yard. They will now start spawning many, many, many seed packs worth 100 or 200 simoleon seedpacks all over the place. When you want to sell them go into build mode and select the sledge hammer. Hold left click on one of the seed packs and drag to sell massive amounts of seed packets.

Also now that I think about it, doesn’t the flower bunny drop flowers? Make a holiday every day, have the flower bunny come, invite him into a room, close him in. He won’t be walking around annoying you, he’ll just stay in one place and drop flowers over time.
I don't even buy them. I let them appear on the lot during harvest fest, and just keep selling the seed packets!
Take the good gnomes that give seed packets and put them in the household inventory. After the holiday go back and place the gnomes and they will drop seed packets forever, everyday. Leave them on the ground for a few days and the seed packets make a fun spiral pattern around the gnome.
@@tabytastick I've never had to put them in the inventory, at the end of the holiday they just stop teleporting but keep making seed packets for me so it's easy to move them around with build mode to a place where the sledge won't destroy my home and boom infinite money.
This should be in The Sims logic, also you can open presents for money too

Yes once I was doing a rags to riches challenge and I let my sim take two presents from family members. When I opened them one of them was a very expensive painting. I finished that challenge pretty fast.

before i even watch the video, i have to share my favorite way of making money. this requires seasons. you get the "attic stack decoration box" and repeatedly "rummage for (season name) decorations". you sell the decorations and repeat the cycle.

You can also try for “Open Present” from Pile of Present. Open it for every few minutes, and the gift are more pricy like TV, Stereo, karaoke machine, etc. if the gift box gone empty you can always add present for free

Unusual ways to make money
The first thing that came into my mind:
Selling dog poop
Jannetu Tv If you buy that expensive bin you can sell all your dishes and rubbish for a minimum of 10 simoleons each!

When you have the "Get to Work" expansion in The Sims 4, one of the best and fastest ways of earning cash is transforming objects with SimRay (your Sim can invent it when he chooses the scientist career). Sometimes SimRay can start a fire, but more often it allows you to transform the cheapest objects from the build mode into the most expensive ones. For me it works best when I'm transforming showers or the cheapest fridges - eventually I almost always receive the most expensive ones (and earn a few thousands simoleons). :)
My sim gain 1300k simleons A day from her garden, at first she's A doctor I start to grow 6 plants, i keep take care the plants until i realised my inventory full of the harvest from the plants then i decide to sell them and holly shit their income more than my salary as a doctor, so i planning to move searching for a big land buid a Tiny home and set her home trait to suport her gardening activity and then build A huge garden, I can't do all the stuff alone so i hired A butler who take care my home and my garden, to help the butler I also hired A schedule gardener now I quit my job as a doctor and focus at my garden

You Forgot to mention that in the seasons expansion, if you appease the gnomes on harvestfest, and they get a halo, you can get infinite seed packets that you can sell for 100 each

Additional info to money tree- You can take sample from the money tree and put it on another tree/flower. It will start growing moneyfruit and you can harvest it to your inventory and then place anywhere :)
About the last two methods:
You can duplicate money trees with the copypasto spell
Present plie can also be used like the decoration box, and you will get some upgrade parts and collectables from it
You do not know it, but have just unwittingly created my next challenge! Of course I'll be sure to link this video when I do it! Thanks for the ideas!

My favorite method was in the sims 3 with the philosopher's stone. I would romance a person who I hated, proceed to force them to turn apples into gold, then sell the gold statue that they inevitably became for 50000 simoleans.

but you must have Laundry Day Stuff Pack.
When you place clothes in the hamper theres an option to search pockets, which gives you extra money. It's not much but I think the more household members the more money you might find.
This was so hilarious! I remember when I used to play The Sims 1 somewhere I found this random glass chair that, I don't know why it increased its value, so I ended up investing my entire money in glass chairs business! I used to cover my whole lot with these, waited for a few days and I used to make a lot of profit out of them!

Another way, scam Father Winter, the Christmas tree, and pile of presents from Seasons. Create holidays where Father Winter visits and sell presents he give you. Spam "Add present", "open present", and "Sneak present" on the present pile and sell those gifts as well
He didn’t mention the hunter-gatherer method: harvesting wild fruits and flowers, fishing, digging for goods. There’s also busking.
Also to save on expenses a sim can eat for free sometimes, or set up to live in the gym for all the free amenities.

also, another good method is to make a gnome happy on harvestfest (if u have seasons) and then keep it forever so it keeps giving you seeds which you can then sell for money. you can also move them in build mode if you dont like where they currently are!
There’s also looking for change in a laundry basket
You can also go into build mode and sell the gnomes that pop up during harvestfest, you actually get a good amount of money 😊

The one that wasn't shown here is growing flowers. You can easily get 3000 a day by growing some flowers that you found outside. That saved me a few times.

here's a combination:
1.) throw a party + go on a date,
2.) like in the video, get the gold medal
3.) once you recieve the item you will need the magic expansion pack
4.) duplicate the items, it's pretty much an easier way than having to repeat the events
I prefer the gift pile method. Put down a gift pile, have all your sim open presents. Certain Sims can also sneak an extra one, and they can all open stuff once every six or so hours. Depending on the number of sims you have this can net you thousands a day, for literally just one action that doesn't require any skills or anything like that.
I pretty much do the same with gardening, use half of my household as slaves and grow loads of shit in the garden. You get quite a few dosh for it
Wow, onlyabidoang! Some of these methods I never thought of! Others are things I already knew, but I haven't used all of them. By the way, for the "Gold digger" method, you don't need to have a relationship with the other sims, all you have to do is merge the households on the neighborhood screen. Also, instead of killing the extra sims in live mode, you can just delete them on the neighborhood screen (after transferring). There are two methods you missed: 1. Merge sims from the gallery with your pre-existing households, thus combining their money, split up the gallery sims from your own sims (creating a new household, without transferring any funds), then just delete the extra sims! 2. Purchase the holiday tree from "Seasons", keep putting unlimited gifts under the tree, and after your sims open them, simply sell them!😁💵💵💰

With the sims 4 realm of magic there are many ways to save money.
Apart from pulling the food out of nowhere, cleanliness spell (which saves you money for water) and duplication, you can buy the always welcome trait, then just go into someone’s house, lure them away from the room you’re interested in, freeze them if necessary, then steal one of their expensive objects.
Found out after I created a teenage witch who has to pay her bills somehow, she basically works as a burglar and I love it.
Just make some Holidays with the gnomes and then sell all the gnomes
I place multiple present piles and have sims open those regularly. Keep the things you want and sell others. My sim once got the virtual reality mat and a top coffee machine and as I didn’t require them at that point it made me a good amount of money 😁 the presents were either in the Christmas pack or seasons pack.
... When Abi’s 8 unusual money making methods are your usual money making methods...
Also in the laundry day stuff pack you can search the pockets of the dirty clothes in your hamper and get money out of nowhere :D
Also the klepto trait..
(If you need to distract sims so you can steal in peace, just grab someone off the street and add them to your household, starve them, bring them to the place where you’ll be stealing, have them stand in a different room and wait for them to die. Sims usually gather around to cry and then you can swipe whatever you want.)

One of the quickest way to earn money on The Sims 4 was to plant dragon fruits and death flowers. I was fishing one day and found a dragon plant that was worth $250. You plant it and get 10 more of them, harvest them and then plant those 10 fruits ($2,500/per bush) and you're racking up at least $65,000-$100,000/per day. Just have to maintain your garden and have some space.

You can use the decoration box to rummage for decorations and sell everything that comes out, you can also always have a pile of presents in your tree and open them, so you can sell whatever comes in!
You can also take a clipping from your money tree and splice it to another plant and the spliced plant gives you money tree seeds as well.
