Browns of Chester : Inside the top of the Crypt Chambers Tower

A rare look inside the top of the Crypt Chambers Tower.
A section of the building which is not easily accessed unless by the use of ladders balanced across the spiral staircase.

What’s on the first and second floors of this building? Flats?

It's a department store, well was. 1st floor womenswear. 2nd floor home/lingerie and kidswear. Attic space was apartments for staff decades ago. Then used for storage. The front facade of this part of the building (1st and 2nd floors) was originally offices and workrooms.
