I just came across your review .. 10-18 ... I purchased mine as soon as available . So it must be a Gen 1 .. Purchased through Budsgunshop with Lifetime Warranty ... Purchased my Muzzle brake from Grizzly Gunworks out of Canada ... I have some issue’s with mine . FTF , FTE also the magazine that came with it split down the side . They replaced my magazine . I haven’t spoken to them about the FTF , FTE issues yet . I was waiting for a good break in period . So I still have it occurring occasionally . Something you didn’t mention in your video is . The Upper can be swapped out for a DPMS Rifle upper in 308 . Which is Fantastic . Also it was Designed around an AR-10 platform . I don’t shoot mine as often as I’d like to . But think it’s a Great Shotgun . I only Wish Somebody would make a Drum Magazine for it . I feel that would Eliminate any Feed issues . Anyway I Enjoy Mine & understand the Fellow that got a Bad one . But every product has a Few bad ones . Also New products will have some issues to be worked out . Thanks for Your Time

I have a Utas 15 latest gen and love it. Never an issue with it. Ran it first time with 200 plus rounds and short stroke it twice but cleared the issue rather quickly. Love my Utas 15. Now I’m thinking of getting this one. Hope they did cleared all the issues.

I had this gun and it looks great! But i was unfortunately disappointed with its performance. The cycling was horrible. I changed the buffer and spring because it seemed too light. It still fouled up even with heavy loads. I really wanted it to work!

I love my XTR 12 almost as much as I love my Saiga 12. It is one of the only shotguns built on the AR-10 platform.
Most others are Turkish knockoffs of the Remington 1100 with a dress up kit to make it look like an AR, but are functionally nothing similar to the Stoner AR-10/15 platforms.

After the dumpster fire that was the UTAS UTS-15, I can't bring myself to trust UTAS again. If you want a shotgun that looks like this one and you want it to actually work, buy and RIA VR-60.

I willing to bet the Magazine's are proprietary meaning they're expensive cuz Utah's makes their own I mean nobody's talked about that yet but he did say make their own magazines and a lot of weapons when they make their own magazines means they can only be used in their weapons so I found out in my 308 that I have I can only use the manufacturers magazines and they're expensive

Available in the USA. If you need the longer barrel, there is an extension available. I love mine. Just remember, 1/2 brass doesn't have the power to cycle the next round. You will also have to purchase sights.

It changes, but usually between 100 to 250 metre some users says but mag shotguns real range is between 100 to 150 over that is just about chance, shell quality, temperature, low wind etc. Shotguns not really about range.

I purchased my UTAS XTR 12 in November of 2017. To date 23 March 2019, I have only been able to fire 25 shells through my shotgun if that. This has been the worst piece of crap I have ever purchased. I wish I could turn back the clock and save my money.
To date I have been having issues with:
Failure to load (when trying to pull back the charging handle to load a shell, while pull the charging handle back it would get stuck and not be able to fully allow you to pull it to the rear to load a shell)
If you lock the charging handle to the rear and load the mag and drop the charging handle, again it gets stuck and does not load the shell.
I have had multiply parts bent or broken and had to order replacement parts.
The BOLT CAM PIN has bent on me twice so now on my third.
The Bolt HEAD SPRING has fallen apart on me again on a replacement
On the new complete bolt assembly which I ordered, the Firing pin retaining pin cannot even come out!
I am now on my third or forth GAS cylinder valve. The tips keep on bending.
WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK WASTE OF MONEY THIS CRAP SHOTGUN IS. I wish i was able to read more reviews before i purchased in 2017. When contacting the UTAS Company, it's very difficult to get Freddy Arteaga on the phone. When I placed an order for parts after maybe a month of emailing and no replay, I was told they did not have the parts and would have to wait until they got them in from Israel i think.
If you want to save money and be happy DON"T PURCHASE UTAS BRAND!!!!!!

  • @Patriot-rising
    @Patriot-rising 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

What's with all the "Whews!?" Haha! These are not very reliable. Even after the break in period. The Gen 2s are a bit better. Their mags are actually experiencing some major failures . Some are reporting mags breaking and at the prices they charge for mags you would think they could get it right. The 10 round mags are very awkward as well.
It's a cool concept on a AR 10 or LR 308 type platform. Our cost here Stateside is around $ 750.00 for a standard. They do feel okay build wise and they look cool but you are better off running a Benelli or FN. The Mossberg 930 spx tactical is far more reliable and one of their tacticals run right around $650.00..
Also has anyone experienced cracks around the buffer tube? Several stateside did. 2 writers one from Guns & Ammo and one from American Rifleman had catastrophic failures.
These are made in Turkey and anything running that much shock to alloy should consider T forge type alloys.
Also the reason you had troubles with re assembly is quite obvious. Charging handle was upside down and must be added to the upper before the bolt carrier group.I think/feel before you upload videos you really need to understand the firearm. Also have facts ready for all to understand. These run better off of rounds/shells that are rated at 1300 FPS or higher energy. These are a great concept build with inferior quality parts. This is part of the reason they are dropping prices and many have these on sale. Also it's very important to clean these right while not over lubing .
If you folks are seriously wanting to purchase one of these due to their cool factors then by all means grab one. If you are looking for a dependable combat shotgun then consider a 590A1 or Remington 870 in pump shotguns. In semi autos consider Benelli , FN or the Mossberg 930. This is an opinion but it's centered more around facts then a cool factor. Tacti-cool isn't always best.
As with many firearm manufacturers people may or may not have the same experiences . I have shot 4 of these and while one has some serious issues the others had minor issues.
I have also experienced issues with top end manufacturers as well . So if this shotgun works well for ya then hold onto it. Because the most important part of owning any firearm is practice and reliability.

Whew! Just read all that. You missed the major flaw with this shotgun which is why they were recalled to have replacement parts. These guns are pretty much old news now, if you want box mag fed and go open class in comps then the Typhoon F12 is the one to go for. The Derya is good too plus the Web Tac. If you are on a budget and want a 3 Gun ready then the Stoeger M3K is great and is actually owned by Benelli. Cheers.

What about the terrible shit finish on the upper. Mine arrived and looked like it was chipped and painted over. The UTAS group are a great bunch of guys and I feel for them having to shill this Turkish junk. I sent mine back for a refund.

It's a dang shame the Turks can do better than this if they wanted to. If this thing was made in the US it would be hard coat anodized and the quality of the steel used in the bolt would be dependable. Why a company like S&W don't come out with something like this baffles me!

Mine looked as though its not properly finished prior to painting. That was enough for me. Im done with box fed shotguns and certainly done with Russian (I used to own a Saiga) and Turkish anything....

I will keep my MKA1919 it has a gorgeous made in the US CNC Billet lower. Wish someone would do a billet upper for it! I have this UTAS sitting here on loan from a friend and I am going to shoot a head to head video here in a few weeks. I really like the design of the XTR12 but the materials, fit and finish is lacking (which seems so typical with Turkish box fed shot guns).

I hate this thing, I paid over $1200.00 for this junk and even after sending it back it still will not shoot more then 3 rounds without jamming up... I hope the whole business goes belly up!!!!

Donald you have copied and pasted this exact same comment on any and every video pertaining to the xtr-12. Things like this severely hurt your credibility and make me not want to believe someone who cant even change up the comment but just copies and pastes on *EVERY* xtr12 video.

YEP I want everybody to know how much of a pile of junk this thing is.. When you drop over a thousand on a gun it should work.. and when you send it back and they say "it fixed " and you get it back, and it still doesn't work. Then yes i want to put it out everywhere " this gun and the people who sell it are bad!!!

But if me copied and paste the comment, makes me a liar or untrustworthy then by all means buy one. It looks great and works if you only use slugs in it "at $20 a box" but for fun shooting its junk..

Thanks ASS i have put in over 300 rounds and the only ones that run are slugs... I sent it back and used the same shells that utas said to use and still didn't work in any of the 4 different mags i have. and i did not post to every auto shotgun just utas junk.... I hope the whole business goes under for selling such junk......
