In the 3 point takedown system he would have majored or tech falled everyone in his last year (2022) except Cohlton Schultz. (9-2 score with 3 point TD). He would have teched Mason Parris both matches. 12-3 with Kerkvleit. 17 matches in 2022 that is a bonus rate 94%. In 2021 thats 100% bonus rate in the 17 matches he wrestled. In 2020 its an 84% bones rate in the 15 matches he wrestled (non bonus - Cassioppi and Parris matches). If he can shake off the rust and get back to form in 4 months it might not be close.
It’s tough to say, Kerk was his closest match 3 years ago and Kerk has only gotten better than while Gable has persued other things outside of wrestling. But this is Gable we are talking about.
In my opinion he’s only coming back for the money. He has made it clear he’s doesn’t like wrestling at all, he’s been doing everything except wrestling, I can’t blame him for chasing his “dreams”, but if you ask me if he would have added to more NCAA titles and another Olympic gold to his resume maybe he would had gone further, so as a huge wrestling fan and once a fan of Gable I won’t be rooting for him anymore, he turned his back on all his wrestling fans and never once even gave us the courtesy of telling us why.
Probably the best case of wasted talent I can think of. We should be talking about how he’s the 2nd ever undefeated 4x national champ, how he’s a 3x hodge trophy winner, how he is a 2x Olympic Gold Medalist and 3x World Champ while only being 24 years old. Instead it’s, “hey did you see how awful gable is at football and WWE”
Undefeated with a 74% bonus rate as heavyweight. He would beat Cassar. Cassar won 4-3 the last time they wrestled the year earlier. To think Gable wouldnt win would be dishonest. Especially when you factor in that Cassar ended up medically retiring only 3 matches into 2020
“CRUSH” is laughable…. Would Gable win??? Debatable…. We’ll never know now. Yes Gable got better, but still had a few close matches in his 2nd year. Casar wouldn’t have gotten better? He was somehow at his ceiling? Btw: I’m a fan of all wrestlers and love watching Gable!!! Can’t wait to see his Back Flip(s)!!!!!
@ He would control the match and he would win. Not saying he techs him but he would beat him, possibly worse than the score would indicate. I’m a big Penn State fan, was thrilled when Cassar won, both times. But both times the expectation was that Gable would beat him and Cassar “upset” him
He couldn’t make it anywhere else so he comes back to school to wrestle some kids. I wonder how much money Minnesota is giving him. I won’t be watching any Minnesota matches this year.
Proud he’s coming back
You guys …be happy he’s coming back

so can he just enroll in school in November ?? or will he start wrestling second semester?
Second semester. But if we are being honest I think he’s really going to be lacking in the “student” portion of student athlete.
The ufc is also in a grappling heavy phase. I could see some older fighters putting in good word and helping him get ready for the octagon
Where do we see Gable go after this NCAA season?
Stick with wrestling?
Go into MMA/UFC?
Other?
15-0! 14 bonus point wins. I think Kerk can keep it close in the finals?

@@michaellong2595 exactly couldn’t have said it any better myself, like he could of been one of the 🐐
How about Jack predicting that Iowa can win the team race over PSU?
@michaellong2595 based on no comments against it, seems like the public agree!
This is a joking around podcast 😂
We like to have a good time
Saying Gable would crush Casar as a sophomore is an absolutely horrible take…

He's failed everywhere got beer money to come back hope he fails here
As much as I love having him back to the sport. It’s Just too late to recover a real legacy. Would rather see him in MMA
GREG WILL TAKE HIM DOWN
