    12:13 Little River Railroad engines
    Nickel Plate Road 2-8-4 765 leads a special all-day excursion from Edon, OH to Hillsdale, MI. Covering 100 miles, the Berkshire a ten-car excursion across the Indiana Northeastern Railroad, marking one of the first trips in years that 765 would be able to lead both ways. In Michigan, the 765 would be joined by Little River Railroad 4-6-2 110 and 0-4-0T 1 leading short trips.
    New York, Chicago & St. Louis 2-8-4 765 was built in 1944 as one of 80 of NKP's Berkshire for fast freight service. The locomotive has been operated by the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society of Fort Wayne, IN since 1979. The 2022 season has seen the Berkshire leading specials on the Indiana Northeastern Railroad.
    Little River Railroad 4-6-2 110 is notably the smallest standard gauge Pacific type ever built. Originally operated in logging service, today It operates on the current Little River Railroad in Coldwater, MI. The 0-4-0T 1, a rather small tank engine, operates alongside 110 on specials.
    Special thanks to Nick Martin for assembling this look at the weekend of excursions.

    Still love they put 576's on it. Gives us a preview on what's to come in the next few years.

    This sure was a fantastic way to celebrate both the FWRHS's 50th anniversary and 576's 80th b-day!

    Such a good video. And if you see the guy sitting on the ground around 13:59, that's me making a sound recording of the train on that Saturday.

    I recognize the conductor from the shot where 765 passes 110. That's Matthew I recognize him from the Buckley old engine show. He is the conductor of the spirit of Traverse City miniature train.

    I was along side you in a few of those shots, most notably the photo line with 576’s whistle at Pleasant Lake

    Wonderful video! Great coverage of the whole weekend. I have to mention tho, In the description it says Little River 110 ran in NC. But if I’m not mistaken it ran for the original Little River Railroad out of Townsend, Tennessee until 1939 and in 1940 it was sold to the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad from Knoxville to Sevierville, Tennessee until 1961 when it was abandoned. I don’t believe it ever ran in NC.

    Great video dude! Love the quality of the sound. I just have one question. How'd you get that "zoom out" effect at 7:18 and at 8:10? I think it looks really cinematic.

    • @DynamoProductions-trains
      @DynamoProductions-trains  ปีที่แล้ว

      Done in post production. Often we avoid in camera zoom, as the changing focal length also changes the compression of the image. This is why other zooms will look less "cinematic", the compression of the image is changing. This is why movies almost always shoot at a resolution much higher than what the movie will be presented in, so they can zoom in post, and have no quality loss in the final product while also avoiding the changing compression.

    Did 765's whistle change to be like 760's in 2022? Or 2021?
