Who do I have to kill to get Blackie to do a studio version? Jesus, the melody going over and under the chord progression, that groove on the verse, the Alice Cooper rasp moving straight to lush high noted melodies...thanks for this.
The KISS influence is very evident in the composition and sound... but Blackie's voice makes it very unique. I wish there was a proper release of that material.
THIS IS SO GOOD WHY IS THIS JUST A DEMO?!. If there was a whole album of songs like this I would 100% pay actual money for it. Please tell me it exists...
Y'know, there was a lipsync video shot to this song, on Dec. 8th 1980 (the night John Lennon was killed).. Some of the pictures from it are used in this photo collage video. I was there!
Great tune. It's like Sweet and Slade. Slade must have been the "cool" band that a lot of the L.A. bands back around 80 were listening to because it culminates with Quiet Riot getting huge covering Slade.
Just a photo backstage at a wasp show that's Rik Fox on the left Bass player in Wasp at the time . Nikki wasn't in Wasp he was in Sister with Blackie for a few weeks or days or so.
Sixx was NEVER in Sister. and Fox never made it to playing a live gig with W.A.S..P. His extended audition process lasted about 6 weeks before he was canned, for his inability to keep time & just generally being an asshole. Pretty much the same reason Steeler dumped him after 8 live gigs.

Bedroom lover(?) ...in the second verse, and... Midnight rocks away I embrace a new way ...in the bridge(?) parts 😀 Any other interpretations welcome!
I wish Blackie would get a pulse again. Go back to playing bass, bring back Tony, Chris and Randy and go out with an all out hard rock album in the vein of the first and best album
I'm sure I'm not the only one here who thinks Blackie needs to release these demos as a full album? If I'm being honest, I like this stuff better than anything he's released since The Headless Children. (FYI...I bought ALL the records he's ever put out...but this song and many others from this period are much better IMO).
Yeah, it was a cover of the Dave Clark Five song. But Lord Vulcan probably meant the KISS version of it anyway, and of course Blackie was a big KISS fan as well.

I would sign for this. It's really a sweet song and very catchy, too. ;-)
Awesome song, which always reminds me of the song 'Last Runaway' from 'Golgotha' album.. Everything comes from the past!!!
HOW has Blackie's voice just always... BEEN SO FUCKING AMAZING?!
I wish Blackie would record his songs from that era.
The opening riff of this song later became the intro to "The Torture Never Stops".
@@bramirez3330 he always takes intros and lyrics to the songs he had with his old bands like Mr Cool by Killer Kane and Don’t know what I am by Sister

Damn, this material seriously needs to be released on vinyl

that's true, SLADE was one of the bands the Hwd cult bands liked...Mott the Hoople also...LONDON & their fan base loved all those Brit glammy bands...
well done good track better quality then when I last heard it 10 out of 10.
The magic of the song was present

Cool song

Reminds me of the sweet mixed with dave clark 5
Biting Dave Clark Five in that verse.
I feel like Im listening to a song from Sheer heart attack

NEVER gonna happen...he screwed those 3 guys so bad, they don't want anything to do with him...
I love that oooooooooooooooh part
Actually pretty good
Yeah, 2:01 to 2:09 With Nikki Sixx on stage ⚠️
He guested on a song from a show in 1982 that show is here on you tube .

Got to say, the sound is very old even for 1980 - a mixture of 70s Slade and Thin Lizzy.
This song sounds suspiciously like "Any Way You Want It" from KISS.
only the verses, thats not kiss's song anyway

The chorus for this sounds like the idea for still not black enough.
