Also guys I am writing to sanzaru to see what their future plans are also I am asking if they can put sly on xbox since sony abandoned sly cooper. Wish me luck guys and say some prayers.
I was kinda disappointed when Henrietta One-eye Cooper didn't show up in Sly Cooper 4. It would've have been interesting to see Sly interact with an actual pirate and not to mention the only female ancestor who mentioned. Also in Salim's level there's a massive stockpile of treasure that belongs to Henrietta.
About the treasure part, well Salim's time is prior to Henriette. Going by your understanding Salim's treasure found its way to Henriette. Technically, that treasure was stolen, like Sinbad's goblet :)
@@VtnVivi Right, it's been a while since I played Sly 4. Although to be fair that treasure does eventually get stolen by Henrietta so technically it is hers. Hopefully a fifth game is made with her in it, wishful thinking I know.
My theory is that the Cooper clan was kinda big, that would explain how some of the ancestor's timelines were pretty close to each other (Henriette & Rioichi, Thaddeus & Tennessee) but the stories behind them were very different, explaining how Henriette for an example was a pirate while Rioichi was a ninja, Clockwerk probably killed a couple of Coopers like Thaddeus and Henriette, making Tennessee Kids and Rioichi Cooper's story and timeline more relevant.
The Cooper Clan logically speaking, is a lot bigger than we think. The family dates back from 1350 BC, well 10 000 BC if you include Bob. Some of them probably lived in the same place. Since Henriette and Rioichi's timeline are pretty close, we can assume that's daughter and father right there. We can say it wasn't too long before Clockwerk caught up with Rioichi. Thank you for sharing!
Logical theory, but that does not explain how they went from Egypt to Arabia to England to japan to etc! Like, how does a family legacy get to so many places!?
Zellaus Egypt and Arabia are pretty close together and during Stalim’s time Arabia had even conquered Egypt and moved their capital to Cairo so they were technically the same country. During the crusades English people invaded the Middle East and fought against its people’s including Arabs. So it’s possible that Salem’s grandchild fell in love with an invader from England and moved with them back to England in time for Gallith in the 1300s. Assassins Creed I, another historical game set in 1191, has its protagonist a Syrian man marry an English woman Maria. So Gallith could have moved north to Scotland by the 1400s to have the Scottish ancestor. Henritte was a pirate and a lot of pirates came from England/Scotland ie Blackbeard so that makes sense. As for the coopers being in japan during the 1570s onward, during that time either the Portuguese or the Dutch I forget which one were allowed to trade into Japan and had a special port for it so it’s possible that a Cooper immigrated from Europe to Japan in the 1500s and that Riouchi is half European raccoon half Japanese raccoon.
I think the reason the vault has such little shrines is because the cooper clan would store their loot in their hiding places and pass on their cane to their children until there was no longer any space and the current would then visit the vault to store the loot and set the cane there, making a new cane for theit child
Definitely my favorite part is Henriette's meeting with Clockwerk. It made me shiver, that bird is definitely something. If we see another game someday I'd love to see Henriette. Would be cool to have a playable female ancestor.
Remember not to overthink. Ability to defy gravity and stop time are 4th wall breaking moves, and only exist because the Sly games are GAMES. Also, Jean Bison has a stick. That is it. Nothing more to it.
I think the technique Sly would be remembered for is his disguises. I know there's already a Cooper who used that, but you've seen how skilled Sly is at it. His disguises literally give him new abilities.
Plus it wouldn't be too far fetched to have him add something that builds from another ability, as that's happened a couple times before. Regardless, I feel he needs to put his father's technique in there for him.
I think that there were splits in family and that everyone is not directly related more like half-related.Some are directly, others are half. I find it weird that the Cooper's moved around the globe so quickly and changed their whole culture.
My brothers and I always figured that the Cooper Family traveled to other countries a lot over the years to escape capture or continue their criminal careers in places where no one recognized them. Lmao, sorry I know this reply is like a year late, but I thought it was pretty interesting too!
Fun fact: in Thieves in Time each Sly ancestor has been voiced by another character in some form: Rioichi Cooper: Starscream from Transformers (Steve Blum) Tennessee Cooper: Donatello from Ninja Turtles (Sam Riegel) Bob Cooper: Scorpion from Mortal Kombat (Patrick Seitz) Sir Galleth Cooper: Ben 10 from Alien Force (Yuri Lowenthal) Salim Al Kupar: Raj's Koothrapali dad from The Big Bang Theory (Brian George) #ReturnSlyFromEgypt #Sly5
I have been studying and theorizing, and there are some things I need to tell you about the ancestors. 1. They did not say what pages Clockwerk stole in the first game, but after looking at the wiki, I figured out that he stole Salim's al-Kupar's pages. Also, given that Salim's signature move is an enhancement to climbing on miscellaneous objects like pipes and ladders, his section of the Thievius Raccoonus likely detailed climbing all that stuff. 2. Sir Galleth Cooper's section of the Thievius Raccoonus most likely detailed wall hooks, given that his signature move is also an enhancement. The most probable reason why he was not referenced in the first game was because the game likely ended before they found Sir Galleth's section. 3. Slaigh MacCooper's cane is not entirely made of stone. The crook is made of stone, but the handle is a caber, or a Scottish throwing log, and cabers are made from wood. 4. Rioichi Cooper's canes in Sly 4 are made of bamboo, not wood. Also, he did not call Salim "Sir Salim" at the end; that was actually Sir Galleth. 5. Rioichi Cooper just might not be Henriette "One Eyed" Cooper's father, as it can be assumed that Rioichi actually never traveled to the Caribbean, where Henriette was born. It is the same thing with Thaddeus Winslow Cooper III and "Tennessee Kid" Cooper; Thaddeus most likely never traveled to the United States, which is where Tennessee was born. Neither Rioichi nor Thaddeus would have any reason to travel to either location, so it can't simply be that case. 6. For the exact time when Thaddeus Winslow Cooper III was born, I would assume he is from the 1820s and lived to be the oldest living Cooper ever, given that his section of the Thievius Raccoonus mentions the years 1839 and 1893, so he would be at least 72 years old when he retired. Also, he rally couldn't be friends with Jean Bison, since the latter most likely never traveled outside of Canada, also supporting the thing I mentioned about the former. Thaddeus would have just about no reason at all to travel from the British Isles to any place at all in North America, so he could not have actually interacted with Tennessee or Jean Bison. 7. It would be better to refer to Otto van Cooper as just Otto for shorthand; the "van" is part of his last name. Also, he had to have a cane, as the propellers on his plane would be way too hard to touch to the slot on the Cooper Vault's door due to the unwieldy status of his plane. Also, another ancestor would not even think about storing a fortune that belonged to Otto rather than them. Since Tennessee was born before Otto, the latter belongs after the former. 8. There is an image available for Conner Cooper, so it makes no sense why you did not provide one. It is the exact one you used for Sly Cooper, who by the way is the last of the Coopers, so he is not an ancestor and therefore shouldn't belong here. You also forgot to mention that the laser slide is not in the Thievius Raccoonus. 9. You spelled and pronounced "Karin Coopergiwa" as "Karin Cooperwiga". 10. The minor ancestors all had their pages obtained in a specific order and, if skipped, could be collected in an episode where it would not be collected if they were all collected. Therefore, they are not spaced in a specific location or job.
In the first game Sly says that his cane has been in the family for generations. The cane Auto used to get into the vault may be the same one Sly still uses today.
-Rioichi, actually his cane splits in half, if you do his sneak takedown he uses both. It more likely that the metal ones we see in the vault are his original, and the cane in the game is the one he replaced them with. -Auto van coooer. He probably didn’t need a cane to get into the vault. It was fairly well hidden on the island, and protected by traps and carefully placed so only a skilled cooper could reach it with ease. id also wager the vault door was installed by sly’s father, witch is why his cane is the key.
If the vault door was installed later in the timeline, how was the entrance guarded? Unless Conor took all his ancestors items/canes and put em in there?
Given what we know about the cooper-vers we can actually make a number of assumptions with an exceedingly high level of plausible and accuracy. The first being their cultural and technological development being identical to our own. Witch we can assume is largely correct, based on the Eiffel Tower in the background wean ever the gang dose a job in London. their are 4 levels of defense, the first 3 are outside the vault. That are: the islands typography, Egyptians skill at trap setting and abusing supernatural suspicions, and the vaults elevation. The forth is the cave entrance itself, and the various assumptions that can be made regarding it. First: the island itself and its topography. The island itself is extremely remote, and mountainous with large caverns. Given its undiscovered/undeveloped state until Dr. Crazy’s purchase we can safely assume it’s well out of the way of shipping lanes, and modern air traffic. And giving it a natural defense against unwanted trespassers well into the 1500s. Do to immense dangers of long distance travel until around the 1300s-1500s few would encounter the island at all, and the few who did wear likely colonists, military, or pirates. Colonists would not stay long, for a few reasons, the first being a lack of flat land, the second being it’s remote location, the third being superstitious fears(not on this later). Military would see no value in the location except as a place to stop and repair and resupply with what that could find. Pirates are known for their superstitions beliefs, and most would have been scared off and away by that alone, the ones wear not scared away would only add to the supernatural legends surrounding the island, as that would meet with the traps set for those who wear not scared away. Second is the traditions set by the vaults founder Slytunkhamen Cooper II an Egyptian descendent. Who as we know, are extremely skilled at scaring would be transposers with supernatural superstition and setting deadly traps for those who weren’t scared off. We can assume their wear a number of carvings, sines, traps, and bones scattered around the island, prior to dr. crazy’s rearranging. And would have served as part of the cooper tradition to update and rearm the traps and signs over the generations. Third is the vaults position on the island. It’s easy to assume that had the vault been undisturbed their would have been puzzles and all manner of unique paths requiring cooper family skills to traverse in order to reach the entrance. And a number of securely hidden secret entrances used primarily to load loot into the vault. Lastly the caves entrance. Ok so my bad, I should have been more specific. I didn’t mean ther was never any kind of door, I just meant it wasn’t a super impenetrable vault door, more like a trick door or a regular door with a padlock. The entrance would have been updated through the generations like everything els. Given what I know of ancient Egyptian architecture, which I’ll admit is not extensive or anything, I’d be leave the entrance was a false or hollow wall. And would have been updated and reinforced over the generations to keep it secure. The lock and key would Chang with the door. And as we’ve seen with Slytunkhamen Cooper I, II, and III immediate generations would pass down their cooper hook, witch would be modified to spot the new generations needs and preferences. So wean the thievius raccoonus was padded to distant descendants, a new door, lock, and would be needed. And sly’s father with his technical know-how, did exactly what we see.
God, we need another Sly Cooper game. I'd love to travel to other time periods and meet more of Sly's ancestors. Come on, Sony! Make it happen already!
This is the best Sly Cooper channel!!! I love your Sly analysis videos. The franchise is just way too good to be forgotten so I'm glad someone still talks about Sly. Though it saddens me what Sanzaru Games did to the series.
Great video! I love all these backstories of Sly's anncestors, one note though, you mentioned that Otto van Cooper is German, he's actually Dutch, I have two theories to support that. First of all, The "Van" (Meaning "From") in his name is actually a Dutch word, if he was German it would be "Otto von Cooper" since Van isn't a word used in names in Germany, the second thing, he's known for his aircrafts. During the timeperiod he lived in, The Netherlands was known for their aircrafts and airplanes, he probably build his aircraft on Schiphol (The biggest airport of the world at that point of time, it's located near Amsterdam). Just wanted to share that, whaddya think of this theory?
One thing I should bring up: I doubt any Cooper would list the name of their next of kin or intended successor, in case the book were to fall into the wrong hands.
I am 100% sure Salim Al Cooper in the thievious racoonus looks different than he does in game probably because he isn't as big as he is in the thievius racoonus now I think he decided to make himself look cooler than he actually does.
CrashSlySonic 777 I remember in another video he mentioned that Sly, Bentley, and Murray were kicked out of the orphanage when they were 18 and that's when the first game began. Well, at the beginning of the first game, Carmelita mentions an Indian Fire Stone that the Cooper Gang stole, so the first game probably began a day or two after they left instead of immediately after.
Slytankhamen I, II and III were based on the full name of real-life pharaoh of the XVIII Dynasty Tutankhamun, who was known to almost all "mortal" Egyptians as Neb-Kheperu-Ra. I guess that's where the Cooper family name started appearing. Across the generations, the surname changed spelling but its core remains the same!
I'd like to believe that Sly's contribution was the Glide technique, considering it wasn't in Sly 1 and is such an integral part of his character that the games include it in cutscene and must haves for missions.
I bet Jean-Bison knew Thadius, because he is the only person who could see through their disguises, and Thadius was the one who wrote about disguises. I'm guessing he taught Jean-Bison how to see through these disguises!
I believe Jean Bison isn't that much of a bad guy. A bit of a bully and a cheater as well as misguided. Like Sly said, in his own time he would have been considered a pioneer and a hero
it would be so cool to have an actual thievius raccoonus book with info for sly's ancestor line... or an actually organized wiki page but that wouldnt be as amazing as a physical copy of the book
Slytunkhamen is Sly Cooper himself. The reason why we see the secret ending in Sly 4 is because the game tells us that Sly was sent back in time to a random time period (it just happened to be ancient Eqypt) and eventually got stuck back in time because he had no time machine. That is the reason why Slytunkhamen's name is so similar to Sly because Sly altered his name and looks in order to fit to the time period. Slytunkhamen even looks exactly like Sly (the following is from Cooper wiki: "He sports a false beard, an accessory worn exclusively by the pharaohs", which is definitely Sly's habit to stay hidden/unnoticed, Sly was the only master of disguises from his family (apart from Thaddeus Cooper). The reason why it is also impossible to get Sly out of there is because there are no items left in the present time from Slytunkhamen's time period and ALSO no one knows in which period Sly was sent back to, so no one can set the correct time. Cooper wiki also states that Slytunkhamen was the first ever to record his "exploits" (copied from Cooper wiki: "the one who started the Cooper thief legacy, as apparently none of his own ancestors before him had written down any of their exploits", okay this is definitely ODD, why Slytunkhamen was the first one to create the family legacy, what was the reason. Indeed, the reason is because Sly needed to ensure the survival of the Cooper family in order to get a proper future/correct timeline). Sly even started to plan the Cooper vault (it feels like both the "book" and vault were planned in a hurry). Secondly, as you know, Cooper family was founded by Slytunkhamen or in this case by Sly himself so the time paradox plot easily makes sense this way (also known as Grandfather paradox where a person from present goes back in time and eventually creates THE family in the past), yes we have Bob Cooper but it is possible that the Cooper lineage could died without Slytunkhamen. Also I found out that Slytunkhamen III had a cane similar to Sly's cane, this only proves that the iconic Sly cane is from the ancient Eqypt era possibly given from Sly to his son Slytunkhamen II ---> Slytunkhamen III. Now let's think about the Thievius Raccoonus book. Sly/Slytunkhamen DID NOT create it, he only wrote his own story/skills etc but didn't create the book, why, because books/paper didn't exist in the ancient Egypt period. Sly most likely wrote his text to a papyrus and eventually his text was transferred to a book (Thievius Raccoonus) by his future family members (similarly to how the Holy Bible was eventually created; the original text existed long time ago before the book was created in a form of speech and writings carried by future family members/followers ---> which were later copied to the book). I bet this is how the Raccoonus book was also created. The book by itself can't be older than a few hundred years (perhaps created by Sir Galleth or someone else) which is also a reason why it can't be used to get back in time. Anyway, I know that this theory isn't exactly new but I just wanted to inform people and add more information to this theory.
The company who made Sly 4 have actually said the Egypt plot line was fully completed and they actually tried to get the Egypt area seen in the ending in the game as DLC for the game meaning that even after the game was out they didn’t stop with the game rather they kept polishing it and were intent on releasing it but Sony wouldn’t let them release it or upload it to the PS Store so it’s just sitting around gathering dust. The plot would have picked up as soon as the cutscene ended with it switching between Sly’s perspective of trying to return home and Bentley, Murray, and Carmelita working in the present to find Sly’s location in time and bring him back to the present ending with Bentley finding where Sly ended up and using their time machine to go back to the Egyptian time period and bring Sly home which, for the time being, would give them a Happy Ending
I think he is slytunkhamen cooper. Think about it, the name SLY-tunkhamen, it’s a little... on the nose if you ask me, a good “I need to fit in cuz I’m going to be stuck hear a while” kinda name. And look at their designs, give sly an Egyptian goatee, and their twins.
Well about Jean Bison, I think Sly actually comments that in his own time period Jean Bison would have been a regular guy if not a hero, but he's only a villain because of current year.
actually clockwerk was seen way earlier then sly’s pirate ancestor, remember the picture in the thevious racoonous with his Egyptian ancestor clockwerk was there
Either ancient Egypt is his origin or the future (theory). Clockwerk was seen in 10 000BC in Sly 4, either purely an easter egg or could indicate he's a time traveller.
great video you did it again another fantastic sly discussion what I found most interesting about this one was Henriette Coopers description of clockwork none of the other ancestors seem to reference Clockwork so that was pretty cool also I like the timelines for all of the ancestors I feel like I know a bit more about Sly Cooper's universe now keep up the Great work😃😃
If sly has all these ancestors, and le paradox also has a long family tree in thieving, what about Carmelita Montoya Fox's family tree? Is her family full of police officers or people who work in the police force? I would love to see something on that. I mean how awesome would it be for sly to come across one of Carmelita's ancestors in ancient Egypt ?
I think it's a lot more likely that the Egyptian dual canes are inspired either by the Khopesh (an Egyptian Sword from that era with a similar shape) or, even more likely, by the Egyptian heka, which is pretty much they cane used by Egyptian royalty.
I think that would be a great topic to talk about even though it might be irrelevant because we aren't even sure if we'll ever get a Sly 5.. sadly.. would if Bentley, Murray, Carmelita and Dimitri needed to add a brand new member to the group to help find Sly.. that character could be our own creation, if they gave us multiple animals to select from, multiple names, multiple voices, personalities, etc.. that could be a nice concept
When it comes to the Cooper Clan Ancestors, I've noted an odd similarity between the Sly Cooper series, and the much larger Assassin's Creed franchise. AC also dealt with ancestry, with certain details mirroring Sly. Such as Both the Coopers and Assassin's originated in Ancient Egypt. which NOW makes me want a Sly 5 game that is like Assassin's Creed: Origins. Even the Blood Bath Bay level from Sly 3 was like a kids versions of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag (It literally felt the same for me when I played both navel missions back-to-back.) Sorry for going off-topic, but I felt this needed to be said.
A little idea I'd like to add in. Maybe it wasn't that the Sly 4 ancestor's unique techniques weren't included in the Thievious Racoonus but that they are in it but require a certain set of physical and/or mental capability that not all later Coopers (Sly included) had? The Dragon Leap for example likely would've required extreme focus which ninja were legendary for through their upbringing. The Crackshot would've required lightning reflexes and, well, a hell of a lot of experience with guns and a very accurate one at that since Wild West guns weren't as accurate as people usually think they were. The Catapult Crash, well, Galeth goes around in plate armor and yet is still pretty agile. It'd require a major amount of strength as well as something to break the obstacles with since he does that with his sword after all. The Cobra Climb could've been more an issue of experience and decades of muscle memory.
The excluded techniques were probably made after the ancestors wrote in the thevius racoonus. Also, Rioichi's cane is probably his 2 canes put together.
It would be really cool if you made some kind of a wish list video on what you would like to see in Sly 5. Maybe the developers of the game might find it too. If the game is being made, I would assume they will consider fan suggestions. I could keep on talking forever about this too.
I feel like Thaddeus Cooper is the father of Tennessee Cooper, first the timeline it's possible that Tennessee either was born in the America or moved there at a young age by his mother who then introduced him to his heritage as a favor for Thaddeus, plus I like the idea that Thaddeus was patient and a deceiver when it came to stealing from other Thieves while Tennessee had a crazy and wild approach when stealing
:D. Very interesting. Now, if he was part of a Cooper Gang, why would he be a threat to Sly in Sly 2? Didn't he remember of his old adventures with a Cooper? Him freezing probably caused memory loss.
+VTNVIVI I think either, Jean doesn't know who Sly is. Like, he is not aware that he is a Cooper. Or, he's had severe memory loss because of the all the time in the ice. But we know that he is a kinda leader of the claww gang together with Arpeggio. So you would think that he knows who sly is, just like all of the other members did. So i think the second option makes more sense. :) But just thoughts ;) Btw: Big fan, thank you for reading and responding
For all we know, Clockwork DID get the best of a key ancestor, and the lineage was carried on by an adopted son or daughter. Kind of puts a dampener on things 😅 but that damn bird stalked the family for so long, he had to have taken out a few members.
Anriete one eyed cooper did have an ability in the first game when Sly is sneaking in the casino he goes under a table and Bentley says “Anriete one eyed coopers skill is to hide without being seen under stuff”
ya that was awesome! i liked how u where saying that sly could go back into the past and meet his father I have a theory that sly could try to make the time travel device in Egypt when he slapped back in time and make a time travel device with his ancestor and Get Zapped to the time with his father and maybe his father can help him get back to his time that's just my theory LOL Sly Cooper is one of my favorite games so I love that yes stick to Sly Cooper's topic because Sly Cooper rules thanks so much for your videos they're awesome!
Sly isn't really the tech genius, so I wonder how he and his ancestor would do it :P Sly meeting his father could happen. Some wondered if Sly was going to visit his father in Sly 4. The developer thought it would be too complicated, sad in a way. But, who knows, they might make Sly visit his father in Sly 5, maybe it could be accidental. Connor meets his son from the future and realises in order to keep his future intact, Sly must let his parents get killed by the fiendish. Very sad and dark indeed. Thanks for sharing! Glad you enjoy the content :D
One of my favorite things about this series is the entire hisotry and legacy being the Cooper clan and 4 did a real disservice to each one they covered and not even in a way that was at least fun to play. Why people are begging for 5 after this is beyond me.
+VTNVIVI My favorite Cooper besides Sly, has gotta be Tennessee. Rioichi is second and Bob is third. Salim and Gallery just annoy me to death (especially Salim!).
As far as some of the Coopers not being in the vault, I always figured that there was a lot more to the vault thwn what we see, I nean if the hole island is howled out other then suports and cosmetic feature, then include then massive caverns you can fall down, that leaves alot we didnt see, all those drops have to have some type of floor, islands dont flot ya know
one of your questions brings up an interesting point: You were asking if Salim had any children which leads me to wonder if Sly had any ancestors that might not have shown up in the Thievius Raccoonus or even in Slys official family tree, I mean every family has one or two Black Sheep (still not sure if the Black Sheep idiom is racist or not but that's beside the point). Honestly this could make for a good story in the next Sly game if or when it gets made
Hmm lemme cook somethin... Notice how Slytunkhamen looks alot like Sly, and if you remember Sly had the ability to transform his cane into 2 canes. What if while Sly was stuck in Ancient Egypt he made the persona Slytunkhamen and wrote the book? Sorry for bad writing its literally 5 in the morning havent slept xD nice vid as always bro!
That sounds a lot more possible than Sly being Slytunkhamen. Plus, who took that picture? There were no cameras back then. Maybe, that's Sly dressed like his ancestor. Like I said many times, I think Sly might simply influence Slytunkhamen. Sly might actually be the one who gives him the idea to start the book. You must have a very messed up sleeping schedule XD and thanks!
is it possible sly is actually slytunkhamen the III ? Looking over the picture and how little we know about him having barely made any entry in the book it seems the most likely record of him in the timeline Also it seems like sly's binoculars are the only capable camera of that time period and would explain alot of odd problems with the book
There should be some Coopers in The Stone Age, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, The Australian Outback, Ancient Russia, Ancient Spain, Ancient China, Ancient South Africa, Ancient India, Ancient Scandinavia, and in the 22nd century!
Pericles Cooper born in ancient Athens. He was born in 495 BC and he founded Democracy and also found a way to steal from the Spartan alliance using Athenian triremes and a special technique which was manipulation. :D
I really need Sly 5. Please God & Sony.
Bro same and i want more then ANYTHING that Henriet one eye cooper to show up
Don't forget Thaddeus, Slai, and Otto. Oh, and Conner.
I agree
You aren't the only one also I wish it was for xbox and playstation xbox is cheaper playstation way too expensive.
Rip dev cooperenda
Thank you for sharing!
they must have been getting busy to keep the family line going lol
@@CharlieZColt That was interesting to read, Thanks for that dude.
my favorite ancestor from sly Cooper is Tennessee kid Cooper
Same :)
Well son I dont take kindly to strangers funin my family name
Mine is Rioichi and also Tennessee Kid Cooper
Same shit
Me too
I think the reason the vault has such little shrines is because the cooper clan would store their loot in their hiding places and pass on their cane to their children until there was no longer any space and the current would then visit the vault to store the loot and set the cane there, making a new cane for theit child
Definitely my favorite part is Henriette's meeting with Clockwerk. It made me shiver, that bird is definitely something. If we see another game someday I'd love to see Henriette. Would be cool to have a playable female ancestor.
Henriette is the ancestor everyone wants to know more about definitely.
I'm thinking about writing an anthology series of the Cooper Clan. Each tale about the characters' exploits in their time.
Nice!
ThePizzadude93 do this post it i will love you forever if you do
That would be sick
How's it coming along?
YES!!! I would read that happily
The Cooper master of Disguise is Thaddeus Winslow Cooper III. The gentleman thief master of disguise. 🦝
There is only one thing i want right now and that is sly cooper 5
#FreeSlyFromEgypt
@@VtnVivi yes!
Fun fact: in Thieves in Time each Sly ancestor has been voiced by another character in some form:
Rioichi Cooper: Starscream from Transformers (Steve Blum)
Tennessee Cooper: Donatello from Ninja Turtles (Sam Riegel)
Bob Cooper: Scorpion from Mortal Kombat (Patrick Seitz)
Sir Galleth Cooper: Ben 10 from Alien Force (Yuri Lowenthal)
Salim Al Kupar: Raj's Koothrapali dad from The Big Bang Theory (Brian George)
#ReturnSlyFromEgypt #Sly5
#FreeSlyFromEgypt
Huh, I thought "Tennessee Kid" was voiced by Johnny Test/Ratchet (James Arnold Taylor). But which Donatello? 1980s, 2000s, or 2010s?
The Sly Games is an forgotten art. I love that u make new videos :-) Love it bro
Glad you like it :D
It explains why Jean can see through the gang's disguises (Thaddeus)
In the first game Sly says that his cane has been in the family for generations. The cane Auto used to get into the vault may be the same one Sly still uses today.
Omg is this why Bentley says 'Sly you better keep a low profile, we don't want him to recognize you' when you start the games? Does Bentley know??!!
I think Bentley says that to simply not get caught.
Gotta be honest, I thought I’d hit the word limit their.
God, we need another Sly Cooper game. I'd love to travel to other time periods and meet more of Sly's ancestors. Come on, Sony! Make it happen already!
I feel ya!
This is the best Sly Cooper channel!!! I love your Sly analysis videos. The franchise is just way too good to be forgotten so I'm glad someone still talks about Sly. Though it saddens me what Sanzaru Games did to the series.
It means a lot thanks for the support!
If Sly 5 revisits all of Sky’s ancestors, then I would want Slaigh McCooper to appear and be voiced by David Tennant.
Yes ❤
Interesting :D
Bro u are so smart and btw i am Dutch so i really liked the netherlands "land" in sly cooper 3.
3
I like the idea of each Cooper having a Murray and Bently. Like McSweeny and Dr M are Sly's dad's. Maybe Jon Bison was the Thadeus Cooper's Murray
One thing I should bring up: I doubt any Cooper would list the name of their next of kin or intended successor, in case the book were to fall into the wrong hands.
Not their next successor, more like someone who updated the book. Surely the book did not look like a book at first.
@@VtnVivi Yeah, maybe it started out as a scroll.
I am 100% sure Salim Al Cooper in the thievious racoonus looks different than he does in game probably because he isn't as big as he is in the thievius racoonus now I think he decided to make himself look cooler than he actually does.
Also why are the canes in the Cooper vault so large when most of the Coopers are small like about as big as Sly?
landry longacre different devs so different interpretations so inconsistencies arrive
I just thought it was cause bro was old, like he was in his sixties in Thieves in Time, and you deteriorate in height and weight when you get old
@@namesdontmattergaming2756 a reasonable interpretation
@@landrylongacre6391that’s literally what happened 😂
I really enjoy your Sly Cooper theory videos. Great job on them! Also, I love your outro.
Glad you enjoy them :D. And thanks!
Ahhhh very nice little theory!
I want to see another raccoon who is not a Cooper to be an enemy towards the Cooper gang.
I'd love that!
Wow
I just love how sly cooper is using all the tricks of his family out of the thievius raccoones.
:D
T.W Cooper is a master of disguise john is the only villain to see through the cooper gang's disguises
Im starving for a sly 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 -and so on- game. 🥺
If only :P
Hi. Pleas can you send mi a link or site fir download game for PS2 of sly. Please. I loved this game ❤️
I hope that doesn't happen, because then Sly Cooper will turn into CoD
I could do with a few more . But not that much .
O-O
Rioichi was born before the Tensho Iga no Ran?!? That's wild!!! That was a massive event in history for the shinobi world!
I believe Jean Bison isn't that much of a bad guy. A bit of a bully and a cheater as well as misguided. Like Sly said, in his own time he would have been considered a pioneer and a hero
I hope sly cooper 5 is happening! good video btw
i swear your channel is my favorite!! lol great vid as always vivi :)
Yea his channel is so entertaining
I appreciate it!
Thanks guys :D
BTW, the second cooper you mentioned IS sly, because of the ending where sly goes to some kind of desert.
probably.
it would be so cool to have an actual thievius raccoonus book with info for sly's ancestor line... or an actually organized wiki page but that wouldnt be as amazing as a physical copy of the book
A collectable :D
17:13
Colonel is actually pronounced "kernal" like popcorn kernel. It's a military rank.
Oh :O
I made a video titled ''Bootstrap paradox'' a while back :)
My list of ancestors from most to least favorite are Rioichi, Tennessee, Sir Galleth, Bob and Salim.
Nice!
Yeah I would've imagined that!
Dayum! Excellent job, this one took ages but it was worth it, great job dude :D 😁
Thanks dude!
I was looking up some cooper family tree reference and the I saw this...thanks man, you are awesome!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I think Sly is gonna teach his Egyptian ancestor about the Thieveus Racconus
Maybe!
ClockweЯk: Cooper! You will NEVER be rid of me! ClockweЯk is SUPERIOR!
This must have taken so much time, it was epic!
Glad you enjoyed it thanks :D
Well about Jean Bison, I think Sly actually comments that in his own time period Jean Bison would have been a regular guy if not a hero, but he's only a villain because of current year.
actually clockwerk was seen way earlier then sly’s pirate ancestor, remember the picture in the thevious racoonous with his Egyptian ancestor clockwerk was there
Either ancient Egypt is his origin or the future (theory). Clockwerk was seen in 10 000BC in Sly 4, either purely an easter egg or could indicate he's a time traveller.
@@VtnVivi perhaps?!
great video you did it again another fantastic sly discussion what I found most interesting about this one was Henriette Coopers description of clockwork none of the other ancestors seem to reference Clockwork so that was pretty cool also I like the timelines for all of the ancestors I feel like I know a bit more about Sly Cooper's universe now keep up the Great work😃😃
Henriette I know! And thanks :)
Yeah
I really want there to be some kind of visual timeline of all the Coopers and how they're all connected. Great video
Glad you enjoyed it thanks!
riouicci invented the ninja spire jump.
I know I'm two years late, but it'z Riochi, and he said that Rioichi created it.
A ninja, a thief, and a sushi restaurant owner, quite a resume he has on him
you make me see sly Cooper ancestry in a whole new way.
Ohhhhh!!!!
Sucks this video doesn't have many views
I think it's a lot more likely that the Egyptian dual canes are inspired either by the Khopesh (an Egyptian Sword from that era with a similar shape) or, even more likely, by the Egyptian heka, which is pretty much they cane used by Egyptian royalty.
Henriette was mentioned in sly 4
The whole Sinbad treasure Bentley mentioned?
These Videos are so well detailed and I love them! Keep it up man, Relearning all these facts is very nostalgic!
Thanks, I appreciate it!
how did tennessee opened the cooper vault? neither of his weapons he had could fit into the cooper vault
TheDepressedRaccoon his rifle can, but not his revolver.
Red Ace that maybe why he upgraded so his cane can fit in the vault
I think that would be a great topic to talk about even though it might be irrelevant because we aren't even sure if we'll ever get a Sly 5.. sadly.. would if Bentley, Murray, Carmelita and Dimitri needed to add a brand new member to the group to help find Sly.. that character could be our own creation, if they gave us multiple animals to select from, multiple names, multiple voices, personalities, etc.. that could be a nice concept
I think that would better be suited for multiplayer :P. Who knows, the gang might need someone new to the team!
When it comes to the Cooper Clan Ancestors, I've noted an odd similarity
between the Sly Cooper series, and the much larger Assassin's Creed franchise.
AC also dealt with ancestry, with certain details mirroring Sly.
Such as Both the Coopers and Assassin's originated in Ancient Egypt.
which NOW makes me want a Sly 5 game that is like Assassin's Creed: Origins.
Even the Blood Bath Bay level from Sly 3 was like a kids versions of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag
(It literally felt the same for me when I played both navel missions back-to-back.)
Sorry for going off-topic, but I felt this needed to be said.
No problem!
Assassins Creed was probably heavily inspired by Sly Cooper in terms of story and game design.
Interesting way of putting it!
Don’t forget, Bob….who couldn’t write, lmao
This mean sly have to have another game because the serect ending is him in egypt meaning that his ancestor
The excluded techniques were probably made after the ancestors wrote in the thevius racoonus. Also, Rioichi's cane is probably his 2 canes put together.
That could be a possibility.
you have nice theories Vtn VIVI . YOU ARE THE MAN
Thank you I appreciate it!
With the Jean Bison bit, you forgot he was frozen for at least a century from an avalanche collapsing on him.
In 1992 Sly Cooper was 8 years old.
Yup!
So?
and i was born
It would be really cool if you made some kind of a wish list video on what you would like to see in Sly 5. Maybe the developers of the game might find it too. If the game is being made, I would assume they will consider fan suggestions. I could keep on talking forever about this too.
I'm planning on doing that eventually :). Maybe they might get inspired.
Great video but, Henriette one-eye Cooper is actually mentionned in sly 4 in Salim's Level we can see her treasure
Ah!
12:40 Might sound a bit stupid but my theory is that his propeller was detachable.
So interesting... You rock for making this
Thanks :D
I feel like Thaddeus Cooper is the father of Tennessee Cooper, first the timeline it's possible that Tennessee either was born in the America or moved there at a young age by his mother who then introduced him to his heritage as a favor for Thaddeus, plus I like the idea that Thaddeus was patient and a deceiver when it came to stealing from other Thieves while Tennessee had a crazy and wild approach when stealing
Sly Cooper remind me of otto von cooper. When sly cooper fly the ww1 Airplane.
Remember those times in sly cooper 3 where you use the disguise trick and Bentley tells you the code and then you forget the code LOL
If Thaddeus cooper was born in the 1900s and Tennessee was born in the 1800 Tennessee should be the dad
I wish sly 4 used the canes shown in the other games for the ancestors.
Great video man! Keep it up!
What if Jean Bison had the same role as Murray in thadeus' gang?
Thadius*
But just thoughts ;)
Btw: Big fan, thank you for reading and responding
For all we know, Clockwork DID get the best of a key ancestor, and the lineage was carried on by an adopted son or daughter. Kind of puts a dampener on things 😅 but that damn bird stalked the family for so long, he had to have taken out a few members.
for some reason I feel like sanzaru is working in sly 5
Imagine that!
I hope so! It makes sense considering that Fire and Ice is coming out the 27th so they will have the resources.
It's really interesting facts about the cooper family history , few of them hardy ever mentioned in other sly games
Glad you enjoyed it!
and the tresure is by Karin Coopergiwa
My headcanon is that Sly replaced the Egyptian ancestors which would mean he's his own ancestor.
Maybe some coopers ancestors upgraded their canes
I believe so! Perhaps Sly's cane was the original, the key to the vault.
Anriete one eyed cooper did have an ability in the first game when Sly is sneaking in the casino he goes under a table and Bentley says “Anriete one eyed coopers skill is to hide without being seen under stuff”
I guess :)
ya that was awesome! i liked how u where saying that sly could go back into the past and meet his father I have a theory that sly could try to make the time travel device in Egypt when he slapped back in time and make a time travel device with his ancestor and Get Zapped to the time with his father and maybe his father can help him get back to his time that's just my theory LOL Sly Cooper is one of my favorite games so I love that yes stick to Sly Cooper's topic because Sly Cooper rules thanks so much for your videos they're awesome!
Glad you enjoy the content :D
np thank you!! :D
One of my favorite things about this series is the entire hisotry and legacy being the Cooper clan and 4 did a real disservice to each one they covered and not even in a way that was at least fun to play. Why people are begging for 5 after this is beyond me.
Sweet vid. I have to say that my favorite ancestor is Tennessee Kid Cooper
Same here! Rioichi second!
I agree
Completely agree
+VTNVIVI My favorite Cooper besides Sly, has gotta be Tennessee. Rioichi is second and Bob is third. Salim and Gallery just annoy me to death (especially Salim!).
+Ryan Symons *Galleth. Stupid auto correct.
This is one of my favorite videos on TH-cam! Awesome work man!
Glad you liked it :D

Anyone who plays Overwatch think of Mccree's ult???
Oh! That's cool! TBH i didn't know McCrees deadeye came from anywhere so
it reminds me of something from lego games
Same thing xD
I think it's Tennessee's tecneque
It's a pretty common idea for an ability.
In sly 1 every picture of coopers ancestors you can see clockwork in the background
You are correct.
So what do you mean the clockwork encounter with cooper’s pirate ancestor so rare
As far as some of the Coopers not being in the vault, I always figured that there was a lot more to the vault thwn what we see, I nean if the hole island is howled out other then suports and cosmetic feature, then include then massive caverns you can fall down, that leaves alot we didnt see, all those drops have to have some type of floor, islands dont flot ya know
Yep the vault certainly had more areas. With time, it just all crumbled.
one of your questions brings up an interesting point: You were asking if Salim had any children which leads me to wonder if Sly had any ancestors that might not have shown up in the Thievius Raccoonus or even in Slys official family tree, I mean every family has one or two Black Sheep (still not sure if the Black Sheep idiom is racist or not but that's beside the point). Honestly this could make for a good story in the next Sly game if or when it gets made
I always believed the possibility of ancestors having more than one kid yep.
+VTNVIVI yeah u know it, school, gaming, training, work, doesnt really help does it? XD
is it possible sly is actually slytunkhamen the III ?
Looking over the picture and how little we know about him having barely made any entry in the book it seems the most likely record of him in the timeline
Also it seems like sly's binoculars are the only capable camera of that time period and would explain alot of odd problems with the book
