Additional info: some skiing shops and websites tend to undersestimate the ideal length of skating poles quite significantly. Many of them have minus 20 cm from height as a reccomendation, however, this formula is wrong and way too short, and to use a given number of centimeters is furthermore mathematically stupid and ridiculous. You can't use a set number, because 20 cm is a much larger percentage of a person who's 1.70 compared to a guy who is 1.90. Pole length is individual and there is no exact method to determin the right pole length - however, do you wanna use a formula: use height X 0,9 to 0,91 and NOT height minus 20 cm.
How to choose poles at the downhill rental shack: Find any two that have only been bent and restraightened a couple times. Hopefully they will be the same length.
That is the funniest yet!! Should do viral!!
