Thanks for this very comprehensive video, I just have one question. For PO creation, is there no need to create a requisition which is a separate request?
Great video, how does the communication with the vendor actually work? For example, when the PO is generated is there a share feature that essentially emails this PO to the vendor or is it just entered for record purposes in Netsuite then manually sent/filled it on the Vendors site? And then how does the accounting team typically figure out - hey we just received x product from this vendor we can now mark it as "received" does the accounting module communicate with the inventory one I'm assuming or is it typically just through email communication from the Warehouse that generates a receiving report
Good question. There's a few ways to do it but one of the more common methods is to set up a simple workflow that automates an email to be sent to the vendors upon approval of the PO. In terms of the accounting module "communicating" to the inventory module, because it is all NetSuite the records update automatically for everyone. So no email would be necessary between Purchasing and the Warehouse, an Item Receipt record would be created for the receipt of the PO line items.
@@SuiteCris You're the best, thanks! One more question, I'm used to the Quickbooks Online banking feed where transactions of the Checking Account for example sync automatically from the bank itself and then each transaction is classed to the appropriate vendor/GL Account or matched to an existing bill/invoice etc. Is it similar within Netsuite with a bank feed tab or how does that whole process of actually getting the transaction in the system and then recording it work?
The short answer is: not really. You're company has to have paid for NetSuite to get actual access to an account. If you have any further questions, you can always email me at cris.morfopoulos@supersync.cloud.

You're welcome! No you don't need to use Requisitions to create POs, they are entirely optional.

Check out my Bank Recs video first and see if that answers your question (let me know if it doesn't):

Is there a way to get a demo or trial period for NetSuite? Thanks
