I'd recommend MailChimp or HubSpot over NetSuite's Marketing emails for several reasons. The downside of the added price is minor enough that's it worth it.

It's still pretty rough. If Z&C has worked for you in the past I'd say don't bother with the headache of trying it without Z&C.

Thanks! The Reorder point is not the amount that is reordered, it is the POINT which (when passed) triggers a reorder to occur. Thus, because the available quantity was only 6 (which is below the 12 pc reorder point), it triggered a reorder of 14 to get back to the Preferred Stock Level.

You just need to set the Conditions so it only applies when the Payment Method field is blank.

Generally, yes. But I wouldn't say you HAVE to. Between Netsuite tools and some customizations, you could set up a certain level of automation for AP and AR. However, most people just want a full package, so they go with a product like Tipalti.

Jesus Frank, I can't believe you don't the differences between a Tax Code, Group, Schedule, Item, Agencies, Period, Control Account, Category, Division, Schism, Manifold, Demarcation, Border, and Boundary! These are things a child would know! In all seriousness, I've made a video on Taxes that is included in my NetSuite Accountants course, but at some point I'll probably do a brief explanation of NetSuite taxes whenever I get around to doing an Avalara Review on TH-cam. Theoretically you could customize the system to do that, however, I don't know how much better it would be for performance. A better recommendation is only run the logs until you know the workflow is running appropriately in all foreseeable circumstances.

I’ve been administering Netsuite alongside 3 other ERPs and over a dozen others (HRIS, LMS, Legal CRM, etc) so I can’t say I master any of them (NAV 09,13, BC, GreatPlains, and Netsuite) I am applying to a role where I’ll be mainly focusing on Netsuite and other non-ERPs systems… any video that can give me very high level of the main administrative tasks (roles, permissions, custom objects, scripting, workflows, reports, and dashboards) TIA

You're welcome. Sounds like you're pretty deep into it, I don't know that a single "high level" video is going to be of much use to you. I mean your sentence describing the main responsibilities of an Admin (roles, customizations, workflows, etc) is basically the high level overview. If you want some more information on each tool, I have videos on TH-cam for literally every topic you brought up. I know it takes time to watch hours of content, but unfortunately, it takes most people years to get proficient with NetSuite. Good luck!

Ohh tough question. If you already had some experience as an Admin, I'd say you could skip the Admin Fundamentals course and just do the Prep course. But if you're just getting started with NetSuite, the Admin Fundamentals course has so much information that an Admin should know but isn't on the exam. So, you might be able to pass without it, but from a career standpoint I think it's a much smarter choice. I also packaged those 3 courses together (SuiteFdn, Admin Fundamentals, Admin Prep) to try and make it easier on the budget. Good luck!

That is basically the premise of my NetSuite for Accountants course. I have a whole module called "Day to Day Activities" where I show a bunch of routine functions a controller/chief accountant might do on any given day.
