I am playing a 3lv Arcane Trixkster and 2lv Bladesinger High Elf. Now you have all the spells and have spell slots like a 3lv wizard. So a bladesinger with "owl Sneaks" all day and good defensive magics to keep you alive in melee.
I have liked and commented! I continue to serve the sneaky dungeoncast! Greetings good lords of knowledge and laughter. It's good to see you again as always. I'm still recovering from my bout with those repulsive fomorians. Almost completely back to normal, just have to wait for this club foot to go away... anyway, I'm out of commission for awhile since my armor was ruined by the deformities that took my body. Do not fear however, your lands are still being guarded by the finest guardsmen we have! Till next week milords, your ever faithful paladin. Can't wait till next week, I feel dumb because what next week is going to be completely went over my head. Still looking forward to it of course. Bet it'll bring me higher than any melding myconoid. It feels like just yesterday I started watching you guys, it's crazy how I come back here every week to write these long worded comments. Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who loves the paladin bit, but eh, nobody has told me to cut it out. I just hope it's fun to read. Anyway I'm getting off topic, point is I'm glad to have been here for as long as I have, and I hope I'll be here for a long time to come! So after next week, cheers to another great hundred episodes! Love you guys, stay safe will and brian. :)
As for other third casters, there also exists the Blood Hunter class, which was created by Matt Mercer, it can be found on the DMs guild and D&D Beyond. And the Blood Hunter has several subclasses, one of which, called Order of the Profane Soul, allows you to cast Warlock spells, your caster level equals to one third of your Blood Hunter level. It is not limited to specific schools of magic like Arcane Trickster and Eldritch Knight are, but it's limited by spell slots, just like Warlock is. And yeah, the spellcasting ability is Intelligence, not Charisma, even though you get the Pact Magic feature and cast Warlock spells. By the way, will there be the Blood Hunter video?.. I know it's technically the homebrew class, but it's so cool! Please!
If you haven't seen it yet, Color Out of Space is a pretty decent adaptation of the original story. It's not an exact recreation of the short story, but more of a modern re-interpretation of the material. It also brings in a few other elements from elswhere in the Cthulhu Mythos. Not the greatest movie ever made, but one of the better Lovecraftian horror films out there (and one of the best Lovecraftian horror films that's not based on a Steven King book). Worth a watch.
So I don't play D&D but I have an idea! Could an arcane trickster "steal" a healing spell cast on them? If so, could they intentionally steal a healing spell prior to any combat as a preparation measure. Then after they use it, their healer can then cast that spell again (is recommend the lowest level heal for this)
I’m pretty sure the arcane trickster does get a couple slots that are allowed to be not illusion and enchantment.
PHB pg 98 - "The spells you learn at 8th, 14th, and 20th level can come from any school of magic."
One spell at 3rd, 8th, 14th and 20th level can come from any school of magic on the wizard list
I'm back here listening to this for the Arcane Trickster portion, but the Assassin character background here is so fun and juicy.
I like how passionate brian was about his character
Wouldn't mind an entire episode about that char tbh
I know! I love hearing people get excited about their characters.
Looks like Will's been pumping Iron. Keep up the good work bro!

You are allowed to take jump and feather fall because at 8th, 14th and 20th level arcane tricksters can take spells from any school of enchantment
“A poisoner’s kit includes glass vials, a
mortar and pestle, chemicals, and a glass stirring rod.”
Love that advantage on anyone that hasn’t gone yet!
Thanks for all the work you guys do.
So much mistborn, I love it

Snuck right past me, how tricky
I love my assassin gloomstalker. Mad initiative. Lots of advantage moments.
You can pic one spell that’s not illusion or enchantment so you can pic fine Familiar you can also pic others at higher level
Changeling Assassin
Oooo we getting close to 200
You get to choose spells outside of illusion and enchantment spells they are only just at specific levels

I have a Glamour Bard / rogue assassin. How is that for a combination. She has very high deception, persuasion, performance and intimidation.
I'm surprised you didn't name the assassin 187.
So he's a memetic clone as opposed to genetic? He's a Raiden kind of clone as opposed to a Solid Snake kind of clone.
3:34 John Wick.
Arcane Archer
Not going to be an ASSassin about it, but I'm here before swaggerduff.
