VOO is the Corolla of ETFs. It's not flashy, but it's cheap and reliable and at the end of the day that's all that matters.
I don’t own VOO but I own VTI. Just my preference. I definitely think VOO is one of the very best investments anyone can make.

Have VOO in my Roth IRA. Definitely one of my favorite ETF's to have.

Have to answer your question with a question: do you think these index funds are overpriced because it makes people less inclined to research individual stocks and to think of these securities as a de facto high interest savings account? Personally that makes me slightly leery when investors jump on a band wagon. Perhaps making VOO a small part of a more diverse portfolio of dividend stocks would be prudent, yes?
I don't think it's a bad idea at all to diversify with some ETFs. Over a long period of time, something like VOO is bound to do right by you
I think VOO is a top-notch pick from Vanguard. Probably a much better pick than than most single stocks, but I do enjoy picking stocks 🥰
Same. I enjoy picking individual companies. I’m transitioning to having the majority of my money in ETF’s but I will still have 10-12 companies that I enjoy in my port still. Kinda best of both worlds
I'm with you Duke. ETFs are definitely nice, but for some people, like us, picking stocks is where the fun is at

No because you still need to take into account share price appreciation, dividend increases, and reinvested dividends. With all of those over a 10 year period of time, your yield likely would not be the same 1.69%
