Hello, great video!! You inspired me to do it by myself, i was a little nervous to do it but after you said that you did holes to your new van, I think i can do it to my used van😅 Can you please share what material you use, type and size of trim, and also what primer, thanks. Again, great video!!.
Great info - thanks for sharing and showing a step by step process. Seems like a big ask to trust the glass will be held securely by just the urethane but I guess it works :) Good work 👍
Hello, your video is very detailed and truly instructive. I dare to do it myself. The work is very professional. I have a question. Will the VWD Urethane Window Installation Kit (Small) primer be enough to install the 2 side windows of the van?
Hi Scott, Great vlog! Very well explained. I am planning to buy a NV200 shortly and thinking of installing two screened half-slider windows( cross ventilation). I would like also to convert it in a little tiny camper. Would you still recommend the screened half-slider window now that you have used them since a couple of months ? Looking forward to see other NV200 built series from you. Thank you! Louise
Yes still like the slider, just got back from a 5 day trip and used it every day. Only con is that it looks like a camper now, but that ship has sailed with all the van campers out there it is pretty obvious.
looks great! why did you choose the urethane adhesive type vs trim ring clamp type from CRL? I've been leaning toward the CRL. I have zero experience with either. I drive on a lot of bumpy dirt roads and some how the clamped in version seems more comforting. . However yours looks much better and I like the sliding feature.
Interesting. I have the same van! Each to their own, but I am sure many regret putting in too many windows in a van conversion. Looks good but not practical. You lose insulation and you get the greenhouse effect. Also you will probably end up with the curtains shut anyway because you want privacy. (That depends on if you only use it far out in the wilderness though...)
Here ya go...good luck. www.vanwindowsdirect.com/collections/nissan-nv200-van-windows/products/passenger-sliding-door-half-slider-window-nissan-nv200-chevy-city-express
@@jonmgreen Fine. Be sure you apply a thick, consistent bead of the urethane. I had one minor leak in a rear one, but only took a little bit of Sikaflex to seal it up. Other than that I love them.
For the back windows I basically followed the inside line of the sheet metal. Pretty much the same on the side window. The window opening on these only cover a small portion of "open window", they also cover a lot of metal. This is good, as they need that surface area to adhere to with the Urethane sealant. Double check any cuts before you do it of course - hold the window up there and make sure.
Excellent work. So many NV200 are being bought now for camper conversions!
Thank you for taking the time to film this and share it with each one. It is very helpful.
Thank for the kind words Lenny.
I love the sliding window !!
Me too, I use it quite a bit, even though its small. It's just large enough to hand out a hot cup of coffee.

Looks great. Don't blame you for not filming everything. It is a pain to film while working on something.
Great video. Do you have a video of installing ceiling and foam panels on interior?

What is the price and cost of the windows?
Breaks my heart, I would have gladly traded my own Window Ed doors for you solid steel doors
im down to trade possible
Great job.
L👀ks like real good job and thank you for sharing 👍

Visibility sure is nice especially the passenger side slider when backing out of parking spots and driveways...
You don't want windows in the back because people keep breaking into vans through the back doors.
Can you post links to the windows you got? I'm currently converting an NV200 and I can't find that window with the screen/vent

@@ScottPDX thanks! How are they holding up? This is the scariest part of the build for me

Did you use some sort of template for the cuts?

I am looking for solid rear doors, we could have traded doors
It's like bad porn - no money shot! Good info though, thanks for posting.
