My favorite thing about liminal spaces is their similarities to dreams. Many dreams are even liminal in nature such as finding a door or trapdoor in your house you didn't know existsed
Kane Pixels in my opinion has the best take on the Backrooms concept (I was never a big fan of the wiki). It practically takes the original idea and expands on in intresting ways. The way the story is told is very interesting, and that every videos always leaves you with more questions than answers, and that everything has a reason for being there. I like how Async is presented as a very grounded research organization that is trying its best to make sense of an environment that seems incomprehensible. I also like that Kane tries not to rely on common or overused horror tropes. Kane in general is incredibly talented, not only is the animation quality impressive but the sound design, the voice acting, and the soundtrack are all just as impressive. He's not just good writer and animator, but great a composer as well. His second channel "Not Kane Pixels" has a ton music which he uploads quite frequently (some of soundtracks from the Backrooms OST are in this video). I highly recommend checking out his other projects too, such as "The Oldest View" and his newest project "People still live here", since they also explore similar themes.
I've watched one or two liminal icebergs before, but this one is fantastic! (Even though i was already familiar with most of the topics) I loved the way you describe these topics in such detail, with so well spoken! You didn't try to make it eerie or creepy- reading in a normal tone. You are a great narrator! Can't wait to see what you do next.
On topic of FPS Maps: Look at old 90s Shooter Levels. You see a certain relation to the backrooms and they are very liminal. Especially when speaking about games like Dark Forces.
For me, liminal spaces where people usually are seem wonderful. I have sensory issues and a lot of anxiety, and the photos give me comfort. It’s like I get to imagine having experiences that normal people would like being at water parks, arcades, parties, but it’s all just me. It’s nice.
With older 3D games, I think part of why it feels so weird is because we aren't viewing it the way we used to. Most were probably introduced either through playing it on a CRT TV, or watching compressed gameplay videos (probably with some artifacting). It'd look fuzzy, but you wouldn't be making out every individual outline.
@@supertrampsupreme1955 much appreciated on the fit comment. And if you’re looking for any music in the video, the description holds the name and artist for all tracks. I believe the track you’re referring to is Kane Parsons - Still Life
The E is more personal and stands for my old TH-cam name on a deleted account. The P is for Picture (as in movie picture) because initially this channel was a joint effort between a lot of my friends to make short films.
I never get the idea of the "liminal" part of liminal spaces. Pictures of old bedrooms or an empty living room give me the same feeling as, say, an empty bus station. Those aren't places of "transition" but instead to be inhabited, so the definition never fit for me. I suppose the idea of the transitioning of time makes sense. It was once something but is now no longer quite the same (aka being empty or abandoned in appearance) but the place itself isn't always transitional
Does anyone know what song is playing at 48:40 ? I looked through the music list in the description, but I can't find which one it is. I can't find Arulo - Nap Time anywhere on youtube except here though, so maybe it's that. edit: I figured out it's Kane Parsons - Still Life
I hear your concern but our scripts are planned out and worked on over a period of weeks by myself and my cohost. Due to our weekly schedule, lack of assistance, and college getting in the way, our scripts often come out sounding repetitive and AI like. This is due to our repetitive layout, which allows us to organize and save time. We are unable to commit a lot of time to these videos at the moment, but with your patience we are committed to putting out more well rounded and better structured videos.
the algorithm has blessed me
I love that the liminal spaces community is still alive

All music used in the videos are noted in my descriptions! Appreciated!
Hey EP, I never asked. What's the EP stand for in your channel's name?
The E is more personal and stands for my old TH-cam name on a deleted account. The P is for Picture (as in movie picture) because initially this channel was a joint effort between a lot of my friends to make short films.
@@EPStudios Nice, Nice. Great Vid btw. Lovin' your content!

Did you get this script from
Chad Gee-Peta???
My cohost and I worked on this script for over a week.
You're going to heaven because you made this video. I love liminal spaces and icebergs! 🩵
...the script for this was ai generated, wasn't it?
