It‘s interesting to see how all these Karate trapping techniques like age-uke or soto-uke go down the toilet once fists start flying. Feels more like kickboxing.
Yea..once they enter the pocket, its fists flying LOL.LOL
In my opinion, those uke techniques are for self defense, and for short range. I don't think they fit in a sport karate style.
Because karate is useless.

The age-uke and ghedan-barai techniques are often misunderstood by non karate practitioners. They might look silly. However they are stylised moves, with 100 of applications. There are good videos about this on TH-cam if you're interested.
It would be interesting if there were Taekwondo competitions like Karate Combat without this thing of scoring points with blows , Olympic Taekwondo is very nerfed
@@kakuto435 But karate combat the fighter has more freedom than pro taekwondo and it also seems that there are no more pro taekwondo matches

@@bradsknee3731 What makes me even more frustrated is that there are top fighters in the UFC that utilize karate to its fullest, and most people nowadays consider something practical if it can be used in MMA. Like wft

i really enjoyed the fight very strong and both are cautious which is needed.. vasilii has a very powerful lightning punches its very hard to take him down

Poor quality displayed in this fight to be honest. Both displayed a lack of discipline in their technique especially with the mindless swinging and kicks with no real direction. Disappointed.
Quality of fights is nowhere near Quality of production. Looks like bad boxing with few kicks
It looks more like a freefight Kickboxing Tournament, not realy like Karate. Vasiliis Trousers is to long.
Kickboxing was created by karateka and most of its competitors have karate training.
Karate is useless in real fight
