You should definitely listen to "Death Pierce Me" and "The Slow Kill in The Cold" by Silencer as well ! Really dark stuff, usually I don't really recommend silencer as somene's first choice when recommending DSBM since their vocals are pretty hit or miss to some people, some might find them funny some find it disturbing and just fascinating. But definitely one of my favourite DSBM bands, once you actually give them a chance on the vocals, you start to slowly like it, it's really fun to headbang to this.
I do think the music itself in this song was quite good, and I have come to like quite a bit of DSBM. Once I know the mental anguish Nattramn was going through when he made his music, it is hard for me to truly enjoy. I suppose hearing another song by Silencer would be ...you never know :)
While recording the album "death pierce me" Natti Natramn (vocalist) cut his wrists so he could scream in pain. In order to complete the album, he took many boxes of anti-depressants and thanked the pharmaceutical companies. He suffers from severe schizophrenia and has also been institutionalized. The agonized vocals you hear really send shivers down your spine.
@@everysongsucks Nice! You have heard it before I recommended you mean? and yeah I do enjoy this silencer song, but if someone else starts laughing at the song I can't help but laugh too lmao
A lot of the rumors about nattrmn the vocalist is that he would cut himself while recording and was very mentally unsound but these are rumors the most likely is this was a student band for a project for early DSBM (Depressive suicidal black metal)
We don't always know the true life and background of bands. I remember being entrapped in wanting to know every detail, but in the end I suppose it either speaks to us or doesn't. And it is history along the way. I atctually really like some DSBM that is out there :)
have noticed you've been absent from my feed - this one made me laugh though - if you want an unusual TV show to watch - try SPACED tv series from the UK. there's a character called Brian Topp who lives downstairs - this would be him singing if he had a black metal band. link - -- th-cam.com/video/brQw15Xz7Go/w-d-xo.html
Not so funny story here, I was 17 when i heard this band, then i actually got obsessed and then i got a panic attack and suffer from anxiety attack. It's a type of music that can be very difficult for a teenager to process and understand that type of expression and it can really hurt.
When I first listened to it and looked into the band’s history and saw those disturbing pictures of nattramn, I had a feeling of paranoia for days. It was weird
This reaction still makes my day :)
Yeah, Silencer is either shocking or, well, the opposite :)
It is...well...what it is :)
@@everysongsucks indeed, indeed :)
This album is so beautiful
Thanks for sharing how much you like it :)
Favourite Dsbm band imo
Nice :)
Best part 4:35 to 4:40 (panting softly as a form of laughter relief) "hu-huh" then "Laaaame!"

I can feel the sadness and hopelessness of this song.
Looking back on it now, I can too. But at the time it really caught me of guard and seemed ridiculous. :)
@@everysongsucks I can see that too.

Best Beggoten soundtrack
:)
При первом прослушивании эта песня не кажется серьёзной,но если последущие разы вслушиватся то становится не по себе.
Silencer для меня #1 среди DSBM
Glad you like them so much. Yes, just a surprise at first listen :)

Nice reaction, silencer is quite hit or miss with people, love it or hate it kinda thing. Could you react to The Damp Chill Of Life by None?
Do you like this song by SIlencer? I have heard the song you mentioned by None and quite liked it :)

Absolutely, I was just thinking I am glad I didn't listen to this genre as a teen. Wouldn't have been able to understand anything at all about it :)
