I loved that!
Since 1929? Dang, it survived the Great Depression!
Also has a website: 6 locations, including a Bar & Grill. Wonder the progression of business
😍😍😍 Wow!!! What an awesome place!!!! Thank you for posting this Bryan 👊
Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for commenting!
Thanks for the video tour of Foy's Bryan, that place must of been like a dream come true to go to for a monster obsessed kid. I had to get all of my Halloween stuff from K-Mart back then lol.
Super cool little town.
I bought a vintage Flash Comic from a guy who wrote a book about his Midwest Hometown similar to this town(In Ohio as well). He wrote about a cool comic shop and his memories growing up. The Vtg comic I bought from him was purchased in that same shop by him.
I was born in So Cal and it’s hard for people who come here now to imagine some things I remember growing up here. For me a little midwestern town was hard to imagine.
The East Coast and Midwest towns have an older history and charm. But I have these special memories of open areas here (now completely filled with houses and suburbia)…and little shops we went to as kids that are now long gone. Thanks for sharing this. I’m a full blown monster kid too…a bit older… but I totally remember a Time growing up that seemed like a simpler life. Maybe it’s just looking thru the eyes of our youth.. but it’s a wonderful thing nonetheless. I’d love to visit this shop.
Fabulous!
You are so fortunate Bryan and I love how these were your formative years. Here in the uk there not as much Halloween action , although in recent years it has to be said that it has definitely got better.
Growing up I used to feel Halloween nights a bit of a let down, then this one night after some research to my utter amazement I discovered a house in a street two blocks away from where I lived was where Dr Loomis from Halloween had lived!!!
Apparently as a boy Donald Pleasence grew up here, went to the same junior school as I did (before my time ) but I like to walk past his former property and think that whenever Donald went out in the evening then that would be “ the night he came home” 🤣😂🤣
Heh heh, thanks for the journey back in time! I can still remember the smell of the inside of my werewolf mask. I don't think I had the claws to go with it though.
Planning a road trip there for sure! A gorilla costume and maybe an axe might be in order. 👻 Happy Halloween Bryan! 🎃
Oh the small department store🏪 Gibson's...TG&Y...K-Mart was the Superstore of the day! Lol...Still an age of innocence...and Monsters Ruled our nights🎭🧟♂️🧛🏻♂️
I love your home town! Great store and sounds. Halloween is my favorite holiday! I feel like if I grew up in your home town I would be at Foy's almost every weekend. Every year when I was a kid, it was traditional to decorate the yard for Halloween. Every year the yard got better until I was in high school when I made a haunted house.
could I get an autograph comic if I buy one?
YES! Order Wulf and Batsy directly from me, at my website (go to bryanbaugh dot net and click the STORE page) and I will send them to you, signed.
