Yamanashi sounds amazing! And all those nature parks, definitely! After two years in London, I'm craving to be surrounded by overwhelmingly beautiful nature.
+Lusitangled Yeah! It was really nice to be surrounded by nature and the locals were so kind too! Ah your from London - definately need to go someday! Thanks for watching :)
I am going to be in Japan again for a month.. January 2 to February 2.. and this video answered my question of where I should go this time around!! I am planning to go to Tokyo and Kyoto to visit friends I made last summer, and from Kyoto I will make my way to these 4 regions on my way back to Tokyo before flying back to USA. Thank you so much!!!! Great video and you just got yourself a subscriber!!
Wow, I wish I had found you 3 months ago. I am going to Japan to visit my daughter and husband who both teach English up in Aomori to see the Cherry blossoms in the central and southern Kansai region before she heads back to Aomori City and work. I have decided to take my little Japanese that I’ve been trying to teach myself and hang out doing a tour (still can’t decide which of the Shoryuden routes) but I think I want to do The Nostalgic Route that is 9 days. But I may have to take the Dragon route that is a few days less. But with the help of your videos, I think I can get a lot of knowledge from them. I am trying to decide from all these wonderful things to see in Central Japan that I am swimming in confusion as there is just sooo much. Anyway, wanted to say Arrigato gozaimas, for the great tours I see that can take me all around. A bit more “hands on” with your videos. More than the average tourist pamphlet which are good too, but a video does say it all. Jaw Mataw🤗
Every time I watch videos like yours about Japan, I fall in love with the country even more. It's a shame that I'm only going to be there for two weeks very soon lol.
Another thing to see in Nagano prefecture is lake Suwa which is very beautiful and a bit of a pilgrimage spot as the lake in Kimi no Na wa is based on it. Also in one of the towns surrounding the lake, Shimosuwa, there is Suwa Taisha which is a must go to pilgrimage spot for Touhou fans as Moriya shrine is based on it. Besides the weeb stuff the area looks very nice too.
Hi Angela, Thank you for filming these places. I will be travelling to Japan in May and plan to stop by this region while travelling from Osaka to Tokyo. Among these four areas you mentioned above, which would be the most convenient to stay so that I can around this area? Thank you! Shermin
Kurobe gorge is a great place, I did go with a small train up to the mountain. The access is difficult if you don't have car though, but it was nice going there with small local Toyama trains
Your videos are so wonderful. You had me at gold ice cream though. So much I have not seen of Japan. Definitely will try to check these places out. Thanks!
Good video, I think the I would enjoy the all the rock climbing and fast running streams the most. (note to self, don't play with the monkeys) lolol. I think one of the reasons I like your videos, is your voice. It has an accent that is very light, just adds to your charm.
+Duane C It's always nice to be surrounded by nature, isn't it :) Oh, really? I think because I can speak other languages, my New Zealand accent becomes softer! I'm glad my voice isn't irritating to listen to because I tend to do many voice overs in my vids haha.
love your videos, I'm looking forward to do all your recommendations =) watching each one. makes me want to book a ticket and leave hahaha looking forward to your next upcoming video =)
Yay..... some really great, beautiful places. Personally I just love Kenrokuen. It's on my "Top 5 of Japanese gardens", if such list ever existed... Now it does! :-p Lovely video!!! ^^ Thomas
Hi Angela! loved your Videos! just want to ask few questions. In these area, is there any Public transport that get us to these places? or do we have to Rent a car. Places such as Kurobe Dam and Gokayama Village, is quite far beyond the Main station (Train station). Is it suffice for me to visit these 2 Places in just 2days 1Night? Either by Public Transport/Rental Car. Planning to go there early Next year. Thanks :)
How many days do you need? is a day trip by car enough? I will leave from Kyoto to Tokyo and I though I might stop over Ishikawa and Yamanashi in between. Or is it best for me to reach Tokyo first and then head out?
internationallyME You're really good at editing :) I'm also planning to start a Vlog. Currently in the Phils. I'm looking for a job in Japan and I'm planning to stay there for a long time. I'll probably start vlogging there. I just haven't found a job yet though. >.
+Jhaybie Darkdoom Sardon Thank you! I just started so hope to improve my editing! Finding a job is a tough process and lots of rejections but don't give up ^^ good luck! Ps. I also did a video about it if your interested.
internationallyME Yah I saw that as well :) I really hope the agencies would help me. I personally wanted to be an English Teacher, but that did not work pretty well so far. I think there's a prejudice for non native american/white people. Although there are some Filipinos getting that job, but it's really hard to get. Just crossing my fingers I get a job real soon. :)
+Frederick König I use all kinds of transportation depending on where I go. This time I travelled around by car cos there's less busses/trains in the less populated areas!
Yep, there's a train up to the Noto Peninsula up until Anamizu station. From there, the train line used to continue all the way up to Wajima city (northern shore of noto peninsula) but that part of the line got closed in 2005 due to low ridership. You could get there by bus from Anamizu. Wajima is also where you can take the bus to the Shiroyone senmaida (featured in the video). Do note that trains in the countryside end pretty early and also they come like once every two hours lol so plan your journey well. From my experience, it was worth that hassle! It took 3 hours and two train lines plus two bus rides to get there from Kanazawa but it was really worth it!!
Though do note that most people there are local tourists from other parts of Japan and most people in that area dont speak english, but there was a staff in wajima who could speak english
How many days do you need? is a day trip by car enough? I will leave from Kyoto to Tokyo and I though I might stop over Ishikawa and Yamanashi in between. Or is it best for me to reach Tokyo first and then head out?
Oh my gosh, you are so fortunate! Please be VERY careful around animals, especially wild ones. People have had their face literally torn up by monkeys or chimps. It appeared as though you were holding a camera in front of you and that might have caused the problem and saved you. The monkey may have seen its reflection in the lens, but that kept it from attacking you and/or your face. I know you're okay. But, I'm still shaking for what could have happened to you.

One of our former Exchange Student girls graduated, and recently got a job in Nagano. It was fun to see some of what she calls "home" now. Thanks!
Wow, the nature in Japan is so amazing!
+legendarymudkip2096 when you get away from the city, it's really beautiful!

"This is a Rice Cake No meat!" Even with the sign, I bet they still have to explain that 100 times per day.

Hi, I'd like to ask what camera you are using in your videos. :) Thanksss! :)
+Jhaybie Darkdoom Sardon A lot of the clips I just used my phone :P
internationallyME You're really good at editing :) I'm also planning to start a Vlog. Currently in the Phils. I'm looking for a job in Japan and I'm planning to stay there for a long time. I'll probably start vlogging there. I just haven't found a job yet though. >.

Kurobe gorge and alpine route in Toyama
How do you travel? Using JR Railpass? By car? By bus?
+Frederick König I use all kinds of transportation depending on where I go. This time I travelled around by car cos there's less busses/trains in the less populated areas!

umm how about the 2nd part? :)
may i know where did you find your background music for the videos?
Can this possible one day trip return from tokyo by JRpass? Or we must spend 3 days for this 3 perfecture?...
If i may ask, whats the best form of travelling to these locations? Tour bus/ Car/ Train
Car! If you don't have a car then tour bus. Some of the places are harder to get to by train because it is far from the stations.
Thank you for the reply. :)
How many days do you need? is a day trip by car enough? I will leave from Kyoto to Tokyo and I though I might stop over Ishikawa and Yamanashi in between. Or is it best for me to reach Tokyo first and then head out?
which one is the second video? i can't find the part 2
+internationally ME What is the address of the glass making place. we are going to japan next year and this seems fun to do
