Nice jam and a great combination of analogue synths and drum machine. The Drumbrute really comes into it's own when you use the individual outs and equalize it through an analogue desk. The Bass Station 2 and the Sub37 go together well. I may well have to get a Bass Station 2 myself :D
This is really dope! The snare on the drumbrute is so good and it has one of the better sequencers out there imo. The fact that you left the plastic film on the screen triggered me more than it should have though. You had that Sub37 sounding great too. awesome jam, I subbed for more :)
This is inspiring. Thanks John. I have a technical question I hope you can answer. I've been trying to replicate (with no success) your set up as I also have an Arturia Drumbrute and a bass station II. I tried connecting both hardware via USB with Ableton Live Lite and even tho I can see Ableton receives the signal, I can't get any sound out of it. My guess is that the Lite version doesn't allow External Instruments, hence I can't get the sound. Did you use audio and midi interfaces for to connect the synth and drum machine to your computer (DAW)? or does Cubase allow you to simply add the instruments as external gears through USB?
Hey total Noob question - please help - can the DrumBrute be used to sequence the Bass Station 2? Not even sure if that question makes sense but I basically like the sounds of both and want to use them in the same arrangement. Do I have to buy something else to use them together?
808 style kick on the drumbrute is weak, probably my main criticism of the machine when I first got mine, When you compress and saturate the shit out of it though its alright haha. The 909-esque kick is pretty nice though!
@@ek999 Looked into this and it's just a question of taste. Definitely prefer the second kick with fewer params on this machine (808-style if I understand correctly) and like it as used here. I personally would have made it louder in the mix but it's the right sound for me in this context
thanks ;) sub sub37 is awesome indeed. About the drumbrute, drum machines dont usually store intrument information, but they store pattern information, since i mostly work on one project at a time there is really no big problem. but you can always take a picture of the instrument settings to keep as reference ;)
was trying to see in the movie the patch number but the moog panel is not visible :( its a really simple saw + sub patch with glide but i dont think i have it any more,
Always nice to see the BS2 being out to good use. Nice work

I love this sound
Nice! Loving the arp sounds from the BS2 🎹
epico.... you are THE MACHINE

very nice, more sub37 stuff! :)

thanks ;) the drumbrute has some really nice instruments. i left the plastic film because it was a demo unit.
thanx for all the great feedback guys ;) more is on the way !
Because of you, I had to buy a Brumbrute and maybe soon a Bass Station (or Minilogue) ...
Can you store a full set of like 10 or 12 tracks (drum parts) on the brute?
Watching in 2020 ❤️ Awesome
This is BEYOND EPIC!!!!
Thank you!!!
Great Combo! Melts Perfectly Together.
Sick bro, nice set up and skills!
nice one
Cool live session - great groove!!!!
1:58 how did you make the sub37 sound like it has 2 voices? anyway, great performance!
its a duophonic synth, it can play 2 notes ;)
@@AudiolabsPt Ahhh, I see. Thank you!

Most instruments only do MIDI via USB, not AUDIO. So you will always need an audio interface to record the sound :)
mmmmmmh, so nice
awsome Moog
BSII was just playing the arpeggio, yeah?
yeps
Just the right mood! Love it !
Cool!

i think its a better idea to use the bass station's internal sequencer, or arpegiator like im doing ;)
is it possible to just create techno track with the drum brute itself?
yes it it possible, it has 17 instruments ;)
Dope video! Is it weird to ask what support you're using for Drumbrute?
Thanks ;) Its a millennium laptop stand from thomann.
What's with that BPM Display jumping around? :P
the original tempo is 122 bpm but the drumbrute in slave mode displays the tempo constantly adjusting i guess,,,
@@AudiolabsPtthanks for the response. So is it slaved to the Moog, the Novation... or another Clock?
@@CaalamusTube check the video description for connection infos ;)
@@AudiolabsPt right on! :P
I've been on TH-cam since it started. You'd think I would've broken that bad habit by now...
Anyway, cool performance :]
What is that stand the drumbrute is on? Also, very nice jam!
Millenium Laptopstand from Thomann
Stephan Bodzin vibe but jeez man, that kick drum is shabby

The Bodzin vibe is pretty addictive ^^ ... swelling bass and a beautiful arp.. Good solid jam btw. :)

That's madness !!!
That Hi hats sound
This reminds me so much of Tron!
I thought this was awesome. Good work.
what model is the stand under the brute? looks like a good one, nice little track btw
Millenium KS-3000 Keyboard Stand
@@AudiolabsPt NO, THE DESKTOP stand UNDER THE DRUMBRUTE :-)
@@ogasi1798 Milenium laptop stand i think
Epic!!!
Oooh that sub37... Can't wait to buy my own next month. Great track! How is the lack of presets on the drumbrute for you?
