Frankly , Women's cricket , women's hockey , women's football , etc, are all boring. Women cricketers can't hit sixes as hard as male cricketers. They can't bowl as fast as male bowlers. Female footballers can't sprint or kick hard as male football players. In short female players are not as entertaining as male players. Hence male players get more attention , more reviews , more sponcers and hence more pay & fame. On the contrast , women models in fashion industry get paid more than male models. Because women are more beautiful than men. All this mean that , nature endowed men and women with different abilities & features. Hence there is no equality....men and women are different. So don't expect equality between men and women in any field....that includes sports.

I think the equality in women and mens sports both in term of viewers, interest and same pay is very idealistic and is not possible. I am all for women sports with equal opportunity but it is also a fact that men compete at a higher level.....Apart from tennis, which is an individual sport, there isn't any team sport in world that garners more attention than men's. Even in developed countries like USA, despite winning 5 football world cup, the women football is still less viewed than men's one. As for BCCI, it is making good strives to improve the quality of women's cricket. Unfortunately that can't be said for any other sport.

This channel is highly underrated, there are many good points here. From what I know only sports like gymnastics has more viewers for womens' play than mens'. Volleyball is also a good example but it's one of the few sports which is totally sexist towards men. There seems a duality here but sexism and bias towards Women in sports are very high. People seeing women for thier beauty than professionalism is also a major reason for this.
