From what I've read, The Crown is a fortress. Both routes in on it are highly exposed. Unless you have air cover, armor or lots of heavy infantry, attacking it on foot is unwise. There's been some serious battles fought over it, especially when all 3 factions are after it.

One thing that Waterson NC do well is coordination. They learned to do that when they were being zerged by the other empires. A lot of outfit leaders got together and started talking. They agreed to clean up Command Chat and as a result, they are able to call for reinforcements and get them. This might explain, in part, why the NC does well on that server in general.

Honestly, you whine waaaay too much. I'm TR too and it kinda makes the whole video eh to me. You gripe about the "unbearable zerg" but at multiple points you were only outpopped 55% - 45% and that's hardly horrifying odds, especially when defending the goddamn crown. You shoot real well and definitely have skills but whine about how the NC has none when they do the exact things you are - flanking and broadsiding unsuspecting targets. You win most of your 1 v 1's which, as a heavy, you should be doing, and I commend your skill for that. It was enjoyable gameplay to watch but seriously, cut the bitchin'. At the end, when "this was a definitive loss due to numbers...getting mopped off the crown by the much of an advantage..." the pop was 51% - 49% and had been so for the last 5-8 minutes. Give the NC their props. You played well but unfortunately this time the corporate boys played a little better On an unrelated note, I love the sound the bull makes, it's so damn hot
Oh by the way Oblivion the things they DIDN'T put in the patch notes were that voice commands are automatic. Ergo when you shoot friendlies it makes it so they automatically use the "Check Fire" so it wasn't the guy that was spamming it, it was the game. This also happens when people put down ammo, heal and so on and so forth.
Question, is this game one of those free to pla games were you have to shell a lot of money to get pretty decent weapons to stand a chance against everyone else osr can you play the game without paying and still get some good kills with the stock weapons and level pretty decently?
You can get nearly everything in the game with just cert points (obtained by getting XP in the game). If you want you can pay for a shortcut to weapons or you can pay to get visual upgrades (cool helmets, camos ect. These aren't obtainable with cert points). The weapons aren't better or worse than any other weapon. They are simply better at what they were meant to be used for.
This game looks so awesome. Amazing graphics, especially on the armour and weapons. The maps are huge, so you have lots of time to plan out tactics, set killstreak rewards etc. I've set it to download on Steam. Can't wait to play!

Did the merge with Matherson balance things out? I heard that Matherson has VS as their dominant faction, not sure what the current Emerald landscape is like.
VS rapes everything on Emerald. NC is zerg fest with PHX and GOON. TR doesn't do shit and always has AOD zerg every base they go to, letting VS win almost every alert.

The first weapon was the NS-11C, available to all 3 factions. After that I used the T-32 Bull. NC's equipment is fine for me, the recoil is controllable and able to be predicted. Most of TR guns have a horizontal jitter that completely negates the ability to compensate via mouse movement. Should give it a shot, try kitting out a Gauss Saw with advanced grip then do the same with the T9 Carv. I guarantee you'll be unable to hit things at range well while using Carv.
one time i was trying to defend an amp station with 6 other people, then like 20 vanguargs and sunders roll up out of nowhere and surrounded the spawn room leaving us defenseless.

Back when there really could be epic crown zerg defense you wouldn't be able to even leave the tower because of so many people and vehicles raining fire on it.
Expect to die. A Lot. This is a game entirely based off that concept. Death is meaningless, just an inconvenience. Embrace it when it happens and you'll do better, it is a learning tool. Best thing you can do as a new player is to play Engineer. Drop ammo, repair maxes, vehicles, get your repair gun upgraded and your nanoweave or flak armor. Earn certs to fuel your other ambitions. Engineer also allows you to use vehicles effectively.
I find it funny how everyone always thinks the other guy is zerging. NC was out-manned 2-1 in this fight at the beginning and after that it was pretty evenly matched with a few percent bias to NC in the middle. Yeah, they brought numbers, but the TR did too. I would say the TR just didn't use their numbers effectively in the battle.
By zerg he's talking about the server player percentages- there were like twice the number of people in NC than there were in TR. Logically that means when the battle picks up there is going to be twice the number of NC than TR in that fight.

I play all three factions so far and i think TR play is my style. But I cant play ar waterson...ill run like 1 frame a second there...but i play briggs. I like your style of playing though especially that sunderer destroying. Good job

I hate how NC zerg’s. One match on Hossin, they had gotten kicked back to surrounding regions around their warp gate in the south. Yet they mustered up 96+ for a take over on a bio lab. 96+ in a cramped damn bio lab, that was way too unnecessary.
Played TR since Planetside 1 Beta. Helped shape that game, and ran over Smedley with my Prowler in PS1 Beta...made a U-turn for his NC Max. We died, but all 3 of us said it was worth it.

Planetside 2 is a definite resource hog. You're gonna need at least an i5 and a good integrated GPU. Minecraft and Left 4 Dead 2 aren't really good benchmarks because they run fine on nearly any computer.
Sometimes i regret choosing the nc when i started the game...it's not that i don't like the faction (i really like the weapons specifics, even if i think the high recoil is a pain)...what i don't like are most of the people who play nc. I play on cobalt and almost every nc player seems to be good only for zerg...seriously, most of them can only walk straight towards the enemy trying to shoot and they don't even bother if they're flanked...it's so frustrating...
I know, it seems like most of NC can't handle capturing large facilities. I currently play as an NC infiltrator, and I still generally get more kills than our heavies at close range. I hear all these people complaining about how "underpowered" TR is, yet who get's locked out of continents? Who loses battles with 5/1 odds in their favor? The NC, not TR. We may have better stats for our weapons, but the cooperation of our faction as a whole is pitiful at times. Not to say that it isn't a good faction, but we just can't seems to hold on to our bases. I'm still considering playing as a TR for a while, just to see how well the players cooperate. The only drawback would be losing all of my hard-earned certs, and my NC-specific skins. Besides, where would the game be if players simply defected to the winning side... oh, right... they already do. Thanks for reading this ridiculously long rant! I suppose the point of all this was to say, don't just defect to the winning side, too many people are doing it already.
Equilibrium Vortex Yea, the TR's strength isn't numbers or good guns. It's good communication, even faction wide communication. If you are in a tactical outfit (which I am) you won't have the mountainous zerging often.

What gun is that you're using on the Heavy Assault
T-32 Bull I believe. Flexible, great at range, fast reload, ok mag size. Fire rate a tiny bit slow but makes up for it with great hip fire accuracy.

Bull currently is probably TR's best ranged option. MSW-R is the CQB-Mid range champion. Each LMG is situational. Use them where they shine.

I play on cobalt and almost every nc player seems to be good only for zerg...seriously, most of them can only walk straight towards the enemy trying to shoot and they don't even bother if they're flanked...it's so frustrating...
I know, it seems like most of NC can't handle capturing large facilities. I currently play as an NC infiltrator, and I still generally get more kills than our heavies at close range. I hear all these people complaining about how "underpowered" TR is, yet who get's locked out of continents? Who loses battles with 5/1 odds in their favor? The NC, not TR. We may have better stats for our weapons, but the cooperation of our faction as a whole is pitiful at times. Not to say that it isn't a good faction, but we just can't seems to hold on to our bases. I'm still considering playing as a TR for a while, just to see how well the players cooperate. The only drawback would be losing all of my hard-earned certs, and my NC-specific skins. Besides, where would the game be if players simply defected to the winning side... oh, right... they already do.
Thanks for reading this ridiculously long rant! I suppose the point of all this was to say, don't just defect to the winning side, too many people are doing it already.
Equilibrium Vortex Yea, the TR's strength isn't numbers or good guns. It's good communication, even faction wide communication. If you are in a tactical outfit (which I am) you won't have the mountainous zerging often.

Holding the line, doesn't quite do it when faced with such massive amounts of enemies.
how do you get it to run so smoothly i would love to play this game but i cant play it with out it lagging i have 8gb ram and a amd a8-5600 with radeon hd graphics 4.00 ghs proccesor
