Thanks for the info I have a 2004 Jeep TJ and I took out the fuse for the fog lights because I couldn't turn them off now I can see that is not too hard to replace
Great video Darryl. I've been driving our 2006 TJ around since buying it new and I never knew the end of that stalk popped out 😂 Ours didn't come with fog lights, but there are a set of unused connectors near the headlight connector which I guess is activated using this switch 🤷
Excellent video! I have a 2004 and my turn signal stalk doesn't want to stay up or down. I thought about removing it and seeing if it needs to be cleaned, but it almost seems like I'd be better off replacing it.
Hi Darryl, Great to hear a local accent. Or is that no accent...🙂 I am wanting to make a small modification to my car, a non Jeep. I've noticed that 20 year old Wranglers have only a single lens each side at the front which I suspect must be used to show both parking lights and indicators. The lenses are orange, so that covers the indicating, but how is the parking light requirement accommodated, with me thinking that parking lights must be clear or white, to pass rego each year? Cheers mate. Brett.
Hey Daryl, I followed your advice and fixed my indicator issue. Perfect!!! I also fixed the wiper issue at the same time just by cleaning the contacts. Do you have any videos on Wrangler steering? I want to change out the steering arms etc but nit sure if Rockauto supply RHS components.
Over the years looking for replacement parts, whether it was Jeep, Subaru, Chevy or even Eagle, Rockauto has never let me down. I was having turn signal issues with my 08 Jeep Patriot and replacing both of those parts didn`t work.. it was a grounding issue.
I have similar problems with my Jeep. The fenders were replaced at some point before I bought it and the turn signals in front were swapped to LED. There are no side running lights although the wires are still there. With the original flasher relay, the turn signals would flash very quickly as if they were burnt out bulbs, but the hazard lights worked perfectly. I swapped out the flasher for an ep27 and also wired in diodes and a resistor. Now the turn signals work perfectly. When the running lights are called for, they are on dim, but throb bright when signaling. The only problem is that the hazard lights just buzz the relay. Swapping out the relay for the old one and the hazards work perfectly but the turn signals do nothing now. I'm stumped.
It's a ground issue, usually it's the grounding lug behind the right Headlighton the radiator support you need to remove the air box to get access..redo this connector ( should have 4 small wires a 1 big wire) resolder it and crimp..
Thank you, today I did the run around to all the shops here in aus to see if they had it and no luck. B-line called their tridon rep and even he had no clue and said to order online from the states.. rockauto it is
Hey Darryl, thanks for sharing and please share more - we all go down the same rabbit holes!

Ah, that makes sense. No that I think about it I have vague memories of cars doing just the same thing many decades ago.
Thanks mate.

When I put my lights on, the high beams turn on and the wipers start. What can this be?
Look for earthing issues as a first step
No parts in Canada Either!!!
