Great Blue Heron spears an unfortunate fish.

Captured this afternoon, 7/3/2024 in West Central Ohio. When he flew out of camera range, he landed on a grassy area and managed to release the fish, then swallowed it whole.

The blue heron did not figure out how to dislodge the double speared fish from its beak.
